Happy Sunday! We tried multiple Japanese snack subscription boxes and talked to some experts about why we can’t get enough of them. Thanks for watching! If you have a favorite, please comment below so I can go buy it.
My Hispanic mother and her siblings picked fruit and vegetables along side first generation Japanese during the 1930s here in the north east San Gabriel Valley. They became life long friends and during the 1960s I became bosom friends with their children. We were a blended community up here east of Pasadena and some of these snacks are so very familiar to me. Thanks for this video. 🥰
I LOVE subscription snack boxes...and subscription boxes in general. I am currently subscribed to a local, monthly self-care package that supports a local yoga studio. But I used to do Nature Snacks (highly recommended) and I gave my son the gift of a Japanese snack box many years ago. It's just so fun to open the box and be surprised at the contents. I honestly cannot subscribe to food boxes, because I just eat them all! Ha ha! Even now I'm thinking...hmmm...maybe there is someone I know who needs a surprise package...It's ME!
I love Bokksu boxes! I would have loved if you had tried Sakuraco because it's a more expensive box where you also pay for the shipping and something I've been wondering if it's worth it. Thanks for this great video! Looking forward to your next one!
Bokksu was awful. I like seaweed and most snacks like that but these foods were stale and on the verge of turning bad. It stunk so much my husband literally started gagging. I tried to give the unused portions away at work and ended up pretty much just throwing it away. A waste of my money.
It's pronounced more like SA-kuh-ra (with the emphasis on the sa) and it's essentially a japanese cherry blossom. There are loads of sakura-flavoured things over there, though it's not a very strong flavour imo
Just go to Marukai or Mitsuwa. The thing with Japanese food is all the plastic packaging! OMG, what a waste. This would have been fine if they are consumed in Japan because they recycle and burn their waste in Japan. But exported out of Japan? Just plastic waste.

Follow-up video on where to find good snacks at local shops, please. Mitsua and Maurukai have some ok things, but never feel really unique
This would be fun to try once! Okay, maybe twice. But it was enough to just watch the review.
This video had so much effort put in it! And only 5k views?!?!?
Tell me about it. Share it out!! We'd love to do more stuff like this!
This gonna be my guilty pleasure haha 😂
Just 11k views?! This video is too underrated
Thank you! Share it out and spread the love so we can make more stuff like this!
