Another lovely tie, Seán. Hope you had a splendid St Pádraig's day! Technical question: Like on this pattern, I tend to favour a whip-finished red head. But how do you feel about crystal braid heads? Me, I've never tried one. Would you use super glue, or UV resin? Or is it even worth the effort, in your opinion? Personally, a whip finish or series of half-hitches just seems kinda like a respectful signing-off on the job. I don't want to 'glue' my way out of a fly, but if that's what's in order in the 21st C, then I'll maybe give it a go. :)
Thanks very much Tim. When you say crystal braid heads, do you mean the pearly heads you see on flamethrowers? I could take it leave them honestly, much prefer a globrite head if looking something flashy. The pearl heads are fairly easy to do though, my last full video showed how to make them easy. I finish it off with a coat of superlgue and 2 coats of varnish. I absolutely hate UV resin and only use for some seatrout flies 👍
Another very nice fly well tied. Thanks for all of your excellent videos Seán 🍻
Thanks very much for the feedback Ryan and hope plans for the North Eske are going well, I hear a few were got the last while 🤞
Waow, that's a really nice fly 👍👊
Thanks very much Tommy 👍

Hi Sean, I was wondering if you have a beginners guide to tying a fly, kit needed and how you go about it ?
Hi Alan, this is one I have never thought of before, I'll have a think and see what I can do 👍 thanks for the suggestion 🙏
Thank you sir, you make it look so easy, for someone like me who would like to tie flies, its all very daunting@@SeánWoodsFishing
