Does the loom have an odd or an even numbered amount of pegs?
I've just started crocheting and loom knitting. This is the prettiest hat that I have seen so far. I just love the way you finished it off. Thank you!
Thank you so much, Becky ^_^ So glad to know you liked it!
This is the first time a tutorial helped with the knit purl combination that gave a presentation I understood. Also... BEST case off.. more professional finish (okay Ms Phillips exception) to the hats.. although i give 99 Percent if my Hays to charity I want them to look nice. Thank you so much!!
I love your tutorials! You make beautiful pieces that inspire me to make my own. Thank you!
+Jennifer Spengler :) thank you sweetie!
This is the best Beanie loom tutorial that I've found. Love the pattern and it's actually incredibly easy! Because of the different colours its easy to remember to do the different stitches on the different rounds! And because of the double and single yarned pegs it's easy to know when to skip and when to knit! I turned the bottom of mine up before going to two colours and it worked out great.
Just finished my hat 👍🏽😍 so happy, it looks just like yours, thank you so much you are a good teacher, easy to follow thanks again
Many thanks to publish such wonderful, but easy to understand projects!!! Please don't give up, I'm learning so much using your clear tutorials!
+Federica Circular Loom thank you so much for your nice words :) So glad to know you enjoy our videos!
I started last night and finished tonight, I have to remember that I should stop when sleepy..lol to many mistakes some I could fix others I left...over all it was quick and turned out great..thank you for a wonder tutorial...
I'm using a thick & quick yarn like the video but my brim is super tight. I did the math and 24 rows to get 6 cm is like each row only adding .1" instead of the average .25". At that rate I'll use up all my yarn just on the brim!
Please delete if this isn't allowed, but I thought it might help a lot of people to see the written instructions:

Exactly what I needed!
I'm soooo glad this one was on a 36 peg! I love it so far and hoping it comes out as pretty as yours! I feel like these would make great sports team beanies for men!
Just started this hat for my Granddaughter. It's going to be her Frozen hat. Was going to do the star stitch one but she lives in Alaska so I wanted a tighter stich. I'm using velvety red heart yarn so it's super soft.
I love this hat. Your videos are the best, easy to follow and the music is relaxing 😊
I've made 2 of these, in 36 peg and 42 peg size. Just lovely!!
+LongmontJeni oooh great! We'd love to see your results! Feel free to send us pictures to info@tuteate.com if you want :)
LongmontJeni which one of the two fits an adult, am about to start making one and I need to know before starting.
The bigger size fits adults.
LongmontJeni thanks.

Excellent video! Very easy to follow, which is very much appreciated....
Like the stitches and look. I thought it was adult, but just fits my 6 year old. Will attempt again with larger hoop.
Thanks for the video this is very clear to understand and it is not complicated
Your work is awesome, thank you soo much. And I really love your music.
NiceyLuvstubing59 yeah, but it gets stuck in my head. ...even on other projects. 😁

This is so cool! I've recently started with this and I am on my third woollen cap (though I only use the normal knitting tecnique) never knew you could do stuff like this! I'm so inspired to do one cap like this now!

Beautiful. I will try to do it
I’m just trying to learn how to do this stitch. It seem like when I go on purl row I have 3 stitch across the skip pegs. What am I doing wrong.. Please help me. It on the purl row. Will I be able to purchase this pattern?
Beautiful
I love the hat! If I use a 41 pegs loom to make one, how many rows should I have?
Am just starting this project, started with medium weight yarn, wondering if I should be using two strands?? Love your directions always shows on screen so I can see what you are doing. Was worried I wouldn't be able to follow pattern since you weren't talking, I've since learned actions speak louder than words. lol
Hehehe thank you fo ryour feedback Sue! Maybe if you use just 1 strand your result will have "holes" between stitches? I am not sure, but I would use 2 strands at the same time, yes...
wow! Es Hermoso! Gracias por compartir tu talento.
+juana macias muchas gracias :) Qué ilusión que les haya gustado el proyecto
thanks for the video at was helpful. I'm making my husband a hat.
Great! We'd love to see your result! Feel free to send us a picture to info@tuteate.com if you want. Thank you!

+Lizbeth Alanis thank you!!
love your tutorials, gives me a lot of great ideas, easy to follow, thanks
Thank you Tuteate and Thank you Writer Bren. Pls excuse the last post. Did not finish.
do you have the pattern written out?
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this hat. It's always one of the first ones to go when I give them away to the homeless. Some have commented that the inside is as pretty as the outside, is there a way of incorporating this for the outside of the hat as well?
excellent like to work it.
Lovely
SO at 16:04 to get that outcome, you much go round A then round B over and over?
love your videos I always watch them laying down which is not a good thing to do the music always puts me to sleep...lo
+kristal kraus hahaha looming therapy ;)
Love the video will have to try this pattern. But I am confused as to the weight of the yarn and the amount needed per skein? Thanks
I am having issues with my end results. I follow the video step for step but when i look at my hat it the colors are all mismatched. I am using purple as the main color and gold for the 2nd color. I'm hoping you can offer any help on what I am doing wrong
I love this hat! I can do everything just fine but the further I go the more loose and chappy looking the first two rows look. I'm sure it would look even worse when wearing the hat! Yours looks nice and neat. Does anyone have any hints on how to fix this?
Great video. can I use worsted weight 4 yarn?
I love the hat! But it would be too small for my husband. How can I adapt the pattern on to a 41 peg round loom??
Hi, I just learn about knitting with loom and I'm so addicted. And I really like your tutorials because it's very easy and clear to understand. By the way, I love you loom, may I know what is the brand? thank you very much!
What's driving me crazy as I'm working on this pattern is that you absolutely MUST flip your colors in the correct order over the pegs, otherwise it inverts the alternating color scheme of the stitches. Wish this video would have included that warning ahead of time! Hope it's fixable, lol.
I am just about to try this and I was wondering what you mean by flip the colors? I don't want to start it with a mistake. Thanks
@@vickilee2461 I dont know if you started or not but he meant that when you look at the end result u will find white braids and blue lines so when you switch colors you will have blue braids and white lines which will look weird because it wont match with the bottom of the hat
You know after the brim ...knit and skip starts....how many rounds is this?
great video, i've looked at other videos and it seemed complicated but this is easier to understand. it is a beautiful pattern. WHat is the yarn you are using?? thanks
+debra s thank you so much for your feedback :) Here we used a yarn called Katia Canada and Katia Canada Plus
Hi! I love your videos and have used several of them to make my own projects. I'm trying to work this one on a 40 peg, and for some reason, it isn't turning out the same, especially the first two rows after casting on. Would it be any different for a 40 peg (they are both even number looms) or am I doing something wrong around the ending and beginning pegs? I'm not getting two strands on a peg after knitting one round and purling another.
I figured it out! Thank you so much for making sure detailed videos. All I needed to do was go back and look at it again.
+Kassie Stroud great! Hope you get a nice hat!! We'd love to see your result! Feel free to send us pictures to info@tuteate.com
Thanks so much! Do you think it would look good if we reversed the colors?
make this hat on a loom LARGER than what you need, because this stitch is VERY tight. It turns out really pretty though.
how the heck do you come up with this stuff? I love how you casted off, i'll have to try that next time.
Hello! What size yarn are you using? Do you think it would be possible to make an infinity scarf in the same fashion? Thank you for all your beautiful tutorial!
Lovely! How do you change the colors if you knit flat, instead of in a round?
When you did the last brim row you were left with alternating 2 strands and 1 strand. But after you switched colors each peg had only one strand. What did I miss? I've rewound it numerous times.
will the hat you made fit a 5 to 6 year old
This is a great pattern. It’s so easy and yet looks so complicated! I found the closing up of the hat made it too puckered. I’ll use a different cast off next time.
Thank you so much for your feedback!
I’m thinking about trying to use elastic to close it off as a ponytail hat.
Is there a name for this cast-on? Trying to keep the many cast-ons straight for my reference. Thanks!
Nice
I like your videos, the music I have to mute. The yarn you use is not regular yarn; it is spun differently than the average yarn. It behaves nicely and is forgiving but I think it must be wool or some wool blend which is too itchy. It looks nice but it really does not make a hat that is soft & cozy. I have noticed it happens pretty commonly on tutorial videos but I have requested the exact yarn type and no reply. I do enjoy videos that have voice commentary which allows for variables and specifics along with other information that is helpful for beginners.
I MESSED UP AT 6:00. I DID IT THE OPPOSITE WAY AND NOW IT'S DOESN'T LOOK LIKE IT'S SUPPOSE TO IN THE VIDEO. DO I HAVE TO START OVER?
Nice!..is the cast off called decreased hat cast...or something like that...I have seen others but yours looks so easy so maybe I can do it!
AWESOME TUTORIAL HELP I NEED YOUR HELP . . CAN YOU DO A TUTORIAL ON SCRAP YARN AND WHAT CAN BE MADE . I HAVE A LOT OF SCRAP YARN AND DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THEM . I HAVE SOME PIECES ARE BIGGER THAN OTHERS .YOUR VIDEOS AND TUTORIALS ARE EASY TO UNDERSTAND, YOU ARE VERY TALENTED. THANKS FOR SHARING .
Marie Avalone you can use it to stuff dolls.
Hi, I love it, I don't have a 36 peg loom, will a even number peg loom still work, ty
buenisimo
I CAN NOT find that blue yarn. What brand is that and the color? It's not on that Amazon list anymore. It's so pretty 😭
How would you do this on a 41 peg loom?
Any responses to your question?
I was wondering the same thing....
Yeah. I just experimenting And it seems too big for some reason. Not sure this blue loom has 40 pegs or less. Maybe 36?? I’m still half way and I’m concerned it looks funny at 40 and 41th pegs. Still not sure. Will find out when I’m near the end and see how it feels. Honestly it’s feeling too big already from brim.
I tried a few ways to deal with that 41st peg, and what seemed to work best was repeating whatever I did on peg 40. There's still a seam but it blends in better than anything else I tried.
Ese hermosos me encanta
I have started this hat six times the stiches are way too tight. Is the 36 peg loom you are using a French design. My 36 peg loom may have a different gauge I think. It's just not working and I love the hat
I used bulky yarn and it was too small... I mean so small I had to unravel it!
For adult heads, I think you need to use an extra large loom. I was going to try it myself with size 5 bulky yarn on that XL loom to see how it goes
Does this pattern have much stretch to it? I want to make it for my 6yo. She has a lot of hear and wears it up often
Im using redheart worsted weight 4 ply yarn. Is that ok or should i double the yarn?
I have tried this pattern several times now and it does not work out correctly with the skipping stitches to then either pearl or knit on the double yarn peg. You either wind up having to skip 2 and then that throws the whole pattern off. Your video does not make this clear. Became too frustrated to continue
I have a 21 pegs loom. Where do I tie my first knot? At the anchor?
How do you know when to use an odd or even amount of pegs without a pattern?
Thank you for sharing this great tutorial. For future videos, please consider eliminating the repetative background music. It can be distracting after the first couple of minutes.
You do know you can just mute it, right?
