    It’s been a year but just wanted to post I have the same vehicle and the same layout in mine. Seems this is the most efficient way to do it. I didn’t run my power cables so long but other than that good setup. Wish this video had been around when I installed my system.

    used your video to sorta do mine. i had 0g wire still retaining factory stereo/amp. i used a american bass line converter and ran speaker wire from the right door trim the twisted wires there green and also same on drivers side theyre twisted and that is front channel to tap into. there is a tray on the right side of the vehicle i have a factory sub so the thick red there is the main power and it has a ground and remote there also don['t use that remote it creates a distortion use one from the front like he did here. since i used 0g i had to go under the car and there is a boot on drivers side in the rear that allows you to run a wire through i just cut a X and slid it through! can also run a ground out and do a chasis ground you have a great video for a guide and rewatched a few times to complete my build i just need to move my ground now my lights dim a lil and on the low lows cuts out and i know the amp can handle it i also have the amp a crossfire class D old school 1k its 1/4 way up my line converter is half and sounds good i did use where you did on the power to save some time but im gonna swap it soon and do the big 3 all 0g new one to alt engine and fuse panel. then do new grounds also for the battery to eliminate the dimming more. maybe a cap and 2 decent xs power batts and beffier alt and add another sub and she would be good! for one sub stock electrical only 0 back to fuse then splits to 4 into the amp stock head unit she tickles my nose and ears alot thank you for the video! i use to do comps back in the day and just don't wanna anymore use to do 151.2's 1 single 15 and 1200 watts now id be ok with 140's on my single 12 lol

    I've been looking for a video to show me where I would run wire through my 2013 Equinox, but have failed to find one yet. I thought I might find out in this video, but when you showed where you ran the power cable through, I couldn't really see it, and the camera pans away too quickly. I even tried to stop the video at that point, but still couldn't make it out. Any chance of you telling me exactly where it's run? I see it's somewhere behind the fuse panel but that's about it. Thanks.

      There's a rubber boot there. Use coat hanger to pull the power wirec

    • @tominexile
      @tominexile 11 місяців тому

      @@khmerohio I would have liked to see you actually run the cable through, but unfortunately you already had it done before you shot this video. I can see where you have the orange power cable running though from the inside, and tried to find the same place in my '13 equinox. I see a bunch of electrical wires running through about the same spot, but I can't see a rubber boot because I assume it's covered up with insulation. I tried to get my hand back to pull it away, but only came away with a couple of small cuts on my hand I'm trying to stop bleeding right now. 😁 If there is a rubber boot where all of these wires go through, for the life of me I don't know how you were even able to get a coat hanger back that far, and were able to push it through. I'm not even trying to run wire as big as you did; only a small wire for some fog lights. I'm assuming you ran the power wire through from the inside out, and not vice versa. It's probably the right place, but again, without actually seeing the wire run I don't know how it's possible due to less than desirable space to get back that far.
      I have found a way to run the wire I'm trying to feed through, by way of where the hood release cable runs through the firewall. I can get a clothes hanger through quite easy, but I have yet to find a way to attach the wire to the clothes hanger to keep it from pulling apart when I try to pull it through. So close but yet so far.
