My comment about Cloud hiding his ( granted it's also because he's trying to hide his geostigma ) is because I think it's symbolic of him still trying to hide his shame and guilt about not being able to save Aerith.
No its 100% because in the game it was possible to get ribbons for every character, and it made you immune to all statuses, any good fan of the game knows its the best accessory , i guess you could say its symbolism as remembrance for Aerith... but i know i morphed those arena enemies for a reason.
Man, I can just imagine the possibilities of these characters in the next game. Cid’s gotta have that jump attack as his triangle move, and Yuffie using the giant shuriken as hers is a no brainer.

Yes but almost all the members of AVALANCHE at this point have had so much exposure to Mako energy that they are literal super people. Cloud alone has had enough Mako infused in him just from the events of Crisis Core that he can probably power an entire reactor with one blast of Materia energy.
Fans and audience believe it's a past time, when Cloud and others are clones. While the real ones are children and test soldiers, before Midgar finished the construction.
I can't help but to ask this; I know the AVALANCHE are a group of badass superhumans, but how could they expect to even hurt a giant dragon with... y'know, 'light' artillery?
