I'm a comoser from India, Mumbai, and wanted to learn Zebra from Scratch. LOVE THIS TUTORIAL! Really appreciate it Brother!
I LOVE Zebra. My favorite synth ever. ❤
zebra is one of the top synths ever! new design is also cool
hans zimmer approve this video! (the dark knight movie sound effects are all made in zebra)
not all, but some yes.
The best tutorial for a huge synth like this. I just started using it and learnt a lot from your video.
I was just gifted this by a family member for the holidays, funny coincidence. Looking forward to more zebra tutorials!
“What is this? I need my parents!”
Always how I reacted when first doing audio synthesis.
I have the entire U-He synth collection
The devices and utilities will be my next purchase, then all of fab filter
Thanks for actually knowing what your talking about and knowing how to teach/demonstrate it. This helped soooo much.
I think Zebra is so underrated...
I don't think so.
its also way too expensive , i can find a real synth with that price smh
@@PhysicsViolator get what you pay for Zebra is over 10 years of labour.
I'm with you, it took a long time for me to warm up to Zebra. Well worth the learning curve though!
love this output of videos, sadowick! keep it up
Favorite synth at this moment , waiting for version 3 :)
Thanks for the video... I just upgraded to Z2 a few months ago and started using it in my tracks. This was a really helpful overview
I seem to have a pre-programmed note sequence. It doesn't matter what sounds I select or what notes I play, even just pressing the same key on my (piano) keyboard over and over it plays a little tune made up of 4-5 notes. Similar to the Close Encounters Of the Third Kind tune. Does anyone have any idea why it's doing that. It's a cool tune but I'm not actually playing it. It seems to have a mind of it's own. Could I be in some kind of demo mode. Or is it because I'm in the demo version. I haven't paid for it and keep getting a message asking me to buy it. Any idea?
I need my parents.
monad.overtake 😂🤣 I read through the comments as I was watching the video. I didn’t get it at first, but died laughing when I did.
Excellent video, very well explained. I agree, Zebra is very confusing at first but when you sit with it for a while you slowly start to understand it. Great vst. I heard uhe were working on v3, not sure how true ut is though
Zebra3 supposedly is coming this year
2019 plugin list video thing? Like the one you did in 2016?
Hey Sadowick, would you know if it's possible in Zebra 2 to modulate individual FX's on/off settings? (The only FX mute setting I can find is double clicking on it, but as far as I can see it's not assignable). I'm using this pad with a big reverb on it, and I'm trying to automate switching the reverb off and on at the start of each chord, so the reverb tail won't bleed into the next chord.
Thank you kindly for this!
Where is Fx section. When i select preset the delay and reverb gets on. And can't find the place to turn it off
cool synth. distortion before the filter.. man that reminds me of my waldorf microwave 1. total grit
I never saw a vst plugin with so many capabilities and flexibility zebra is the only vst I use after my virus c desktop
U-He is just short for the developer's name which is "Urs Heckman"
I am trying to load 3rd party h2p files made for Zebra 2,,but Zebra couldn't load them?
Its pronounced "OooHe" according to Urs.
I LOVE Zebra... it allowed me to completely avoid the Native Instruments sample based gulag.
With just a few Uhe synths, Serum and Aalto... and Ableton... quit a bit of good, high quality sound design can unfold before you.
what sample.based synths do.you know?
Diva and Serum are all most people will ever need. Maybe Harmor for true additive synthesis as well.
this tutorial ist SOOO good!! THANK YOU!!!!
What is all these?!!?! I need my parents. 😂😂😂
i have done sound design with all of them including modular but i cant make this synth sound good.
Nice shirt!
take a look at falcon if you get a chance. thx
thanks so much !!
I hate to admit it, but I'm a u-he synths fanboi.
why would you hate to admit you like a quality set of products? you're supposed to say that when something is bad
@@kn00tcn :) I feel slightly embarrassed calling myself a fanboi of *anything*. But I guess it's okay in this case. ;)
I happily admit to being a total u-he fanboy. Nothing to be embarrassed about! Great synths, great effects. He's also a super nice guy (you can find him on the KVR forum).
Does this require native instruments stuff?
No, but they currently have a u-he sale that I totally recommend
@@niclas9671 THANK YOU!
@@sekritskworl-sekrit_studios You're welcome my friend
@@niclas9671 Yes...one way to bring the Xmass spice on...had written and ask them where could i recover, get back at the Z rev after trial, and have been answered a few hours after,in full holiday time, hence also brought to the native link ...i have been auto hypnotised ever since...Have fun!
I'm not German, but in German U-He pronounced Ooh-Huh.
Ooh! Huh...
They took out the Initilize patch! wtf
I call it U-HE
how to crack zabra ?
get a job or use their free synths.
stands for you-hear
That's their unofficial slogan, but it actually stands for Urs Heckmann.
First :)
It’s short for “u hear it” so I’m suspecting it’s “hee”
actually it's the name of the guy
u-he.com/about.html
Uh did you just make that shit up
@@s.l5787 LMAO
cocorinow I forgot I can’t post images here, so I’ll direct you to the same sight you did
u-he.com
And yes, I know, without even following the link, that the owner is names Urs Heckmann
I’ve spoken with him
That does not change the marketing, though
But hey, I hope that made you feel better about yourself
S L see my previous reply
so your basic message is that you can do all kinds of things with... lets call them... things...
Could you please get the microphone away from your mouth? You might not hear it, but the constant noise of you mouth opening and closing, the saliva noise and all the tiny noises one normally does not here come through like an anti ASMR video.
As nice as the video is, I could not watch it without pausing, it feels that bad to me. Put a compressor /limiter on the mic chain and take it away from your mouth, 30 cm/1 ft should be more than enough
You just spend the first 3minutes saying you need to know this this blabla and taught absolutely nothing. Stop saying useless things and obvious stuff, people want to actually learn
This isn't the everything about audio design tutorial. Everyone else seemed to enjoy this tutorial. Maybe you are just a bit slow...
