More Zebra content please ☺️ especially any osc tricks, favourite/useful osc FX etc. I don't find the oscillators as fun and efficient to work with compared to say Hive, but I know they're deep and there is gold to be mined there 😁
Cool, I'll look into it... The factory library doesn't have enough OSC presets IMO. I've got a number of extras, some free, that I use. There's also a WAV2ZEBRA Java app floating around somewhere for creating your own tables, but its a bit of a pain to use though. Its something they'll hopefully address in version 3. That said, I rarely find myself using anything other than the basics in Zebra. The spectral OSC FX stuff you can do a lot with without the need for morph tables.
@@MarulaMusic the factory osc presets are really lacking, I agree. I wish they included a preset category specifically showcasing each of the FX because they are so program dependent and their use varies so much; some of them only work with fewer harmonics, others require the wavetable to be scanned against a static setting, others can be modulated in realtime. The only FX I understand use regularly is Fundamental, for bass patches; you can tame and modulate the fundamental without relying on a second sin osc, which is handy!
@@MarulaMusic I have all of the third party osc presets from the u-he Patch Library and they don't have a scratch on the Hive, Serum et al, which is a shame. I can only guess that the infrastructure is too different between them and that's why they couldn't easily add in Hive's wavetable engine as a module in Zebra.
@@MarulaMusic nice video btw, I have the Neumann skin as well and the seq editing is much better. I'm defo inspired to play around with it some more now.
@@BappinProductions Remember Zebra is about 15 years old now... I've been following the U-He forums at KVR, seems a lot of the tech done for Hive 2 is getting incorporated into version 3. No idea when that'll be out though.
Apologies for the sub par voice over audio... oversight on my part. Anyone looking for the Plugmon Neuman skin, you can check it out here... plugmon.jp/product/neumann/
Thanks a lot Nate, really enjoyed this one and look forward to your Zebra patches being available. I’d love if you could do a jam session like this with TAL Bassline 101
Sequencer/Arpegiator... the skin I'm using has a script though which changes the functionailty of it though. You'd need to buy it from Plugmon for it to work the same way as this.
This one video has tought me more about Zebra than whole past year. Great work good mister 😁
More jam sessions like this please Nate, really interesting to watch
Apparently Hans Zimmer used this synth for quite a few big motion pictures... Ive always been in awe of the timbre and sonic capabilities...
Thanks Marula - greatly appreciated
zebra is an effing beast... more than decade old, but still one of the most efficient synths
What type of genelec u have?
@@petersaperius1224 8040a's... I've had the same pair for about 17 years now and can't bare to part with them. 😂
Still rates in my top 5 synth plugins of all time. Can't wait for version 3... hopefully we'll get some news soon from U-He.
Nice one! U-He makes such great stuff.
Well done! Very cool sounds !!!
Thank you Nate! Awesome stuff

Thanks for taking on Zebra! It’s one that was gathering dust in my plugin list.
Been around for so long... yet I still regard this as one of the best sunths money can buy.
Impressive Sound designing 👌❤️ Got me very inspired

Happy New Year Nate :)
Hi, is there a way to buy your Arp/Seq patches that you show at the end of the Video? They sound really good. Many Thanks.
I've got a bunch available for Zebra 2 for patreons... www.patreon.com/marulamusic
Very nice video
Yes! I was hoping that you would look at Zebra 2 (any chance of patch set from you like you did with Hive 2?)
Yeah, it's about half way there... Just haven't had time to finish it.
That’s great.. I’ll be looking out for it - lovely synth and a great tan btw
My Zebra2 keeps playing the notes higher or lower than I want to. Does anyone know how I can turn this off?
2:10 How can I open this window (sequencer)
Thanks!

@@MarulaMusic Thanks, but it's not worth it.
