The hiss is probably interference from unit power lead too close to another power lead or harness. This is outlined in the manual.

PAC GM-11 adaptor harness is always the way to go on newer Corvettes

so we clip off the ring on the ground? and the connect it direwctly to black wire from the harness?

Where did you find the shift knob? Are they available in chrome?

Does the HUD work with the aftermarket head unit to display a radio station like the factory unit does?

I installed an aftermarket double din ...it gets power but it doesn't sound...any suggestions?

1. The C6 is a canbus car. Thats the same harness everyone makes. It's universal for both canbus and non-canbus cars. If you want the deck on with accessory, wire to an accessory fuse. If you want it on ignition, wire it to an ignition fuse.

Purchase two these radios one for my truck and the other one in my car. I have same problem, the other problem if you using carplay and using GPS the subwoofer gain goes full blast and the only way to bring in down just hit the volume up or down and it will go away and it happen again as soon the GPS starts talking. I’ve done two updates but still doesn’t take care of the problem. Other than that do like the radio.

When you wrapped the steering wheel pieces did you do it while on the wheel or do the plastic pieces come off?

Your power wire problem was you had the wrong converter . I had same problem some time ago, some of the converters are crap and don't fit the cars they say they 're for

I installed this with a PAC rp5-gm11 and it was a breeze. I too get the static noise. Did you end up fixing it?
