Great childhood memories of smelling that black smoke and the house rattling when A727 will fly over the house that was an era where people appreciated and enjoyed noise unlike today's society that is full of soy.
The 727 has all the things you look for like a fine lady, a hot line, sexy curves, powerful sound, and reliability in all-weather conditions! From snowy conditions like the one shown on video to real hot tropical weather. Thank you very much for recording this wonderful bird.
Thanks! To answer your question, in the first part, I was on a mound of snow in front of the tarmac. In the second part, I was on the side of the airport's road.
I am still partially deaf in my left ear from spending many hours in one of these! In the Minnesota winter, it would be so cold during the preflight, I'd stand near the warm APU compartment for a little longer than necessary...and it was loud in there!
Note the angle of attack of the horizontal T-tail stabilizer. It's actually what's termed as a flying stabilizer where not just the elevator can be moved, but the whole stabilizer itself as well.
+747qantas I can always tell when a 727 is departing from EWR (Newark, NJ). I live 8 miles from the airport, and aircraft departing typically fly over at around 4,000 feet. 727's are so much louder than almost everything else which commonly flies out of EWR.
Yeah, I love the 727 departure from EWR. I think it still goes every weekday in the morning. A beautiful sound! The odd thing to me is that the MD-80s have the same engines (PW JT-8) and they don't have hush kits on them as far as I know....could be wrong.
Did you ever hear the Concorde? Man I always wanted to hear those things! My mom and aunt when to NYC once and they said the sound of those engines were unbelievable.
Can't wait until a good version comes out on MSFS (Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020) always liked the 727, its classic aircraft, a little odd looking but cool at the same time.
Love the sound of the 727! great classic aircraft.

Thanks! I'm glad you like it so much! :)

You have there some awesome old planes in north america! What a fantastic shot!
Liked a lot! :)
Thanks!! Yes we are lucky with all those louds 727-200 and 737-200 :))
Merci beaucoup!

And that was WITH a hush kit!! WOW, Beautiful. I remember these on early crisp mornings leaving Melbourne. The colder it was, the louder they seemed.
And you're so right about the temperature VS the noise!! :) Thanks for the comment!

Real pilots, flying real aircraft.

i don´t know why i like so much the sound of the 727 and 737-200s engines...
Merci beaucoup! :)
Ouav !
Merci beaucoup!! :)
I miss that rumble. We used to get a couple of 727F here in Auckland, as well as Air New Zealand's 737-200s. Not anymore...
+Daniel Talbot Yes we're lucky here in Canada to see those old and noisy airliners! Thanks :)
Still my favorite airliner!
Rollin' coal, sweet video. Must have been pretty heavy.

Très efficace pour déneiger la piste ! :)
Awesome video!
Miss these old roary jets you must of heard 90 dB from your position. I got 80 dB when they flew 10000 ft above me rattling my house.
Beautiful low-level contrail at 4:20
Thats a real aircraft...727 is amazing and i think that these guys theres got to be noisy..yes they got..
It appears the aircraft was started without an external APU. Didn't know you could start a B727 without one.
That video was amazing. where was that spot you shot from?
Thanks!!
Que belleza 😍
un vrai bijou :)
Haha! ;)
Iam recently living in Malartic.
Iam a plane enthousiasist as well
Jp. I would like to collaborate with you
Now that is a Symphony orchestra the loud engines and the black smoke smoke that was the life before the soy society began who couldn't Enjoy this.
❤❤❤🙏👍
Lol! Maybe one day!! ;)
