    Anyone know when this game comes out or how to purchase?

    Is there an advanced version where you also get to choose the two tiles the buildings go on?

    I guess "super filler" was the term Chris was looking for?
    Interesting how the ISYC and tile-laying enhance each other

    How is it at 2 player specifically? The Broken Meeple recommends it specifically NOT for 2 player.

      Let me disagree with Luke again I suppose! I like the game a ton as a super fast 2 player game. You het in each other's heads more.

      @@DTChrisYi thank you!! That helps a lot. We mostly play two player and actually like a lot of games at that count that others think play better exclusively at a higher count. But. You never know. There definitely are games that don’t do well at 2 as well/

    Wow, I gave it a 7, it's certainly a decent game but at 9 I'd want to play it again immediately and this one is good every now and again but the mechanic does trip up new players who haven't seen it before and any new player won't have a clue how to split their tiles so any familiar player next to them will have a big advantage.

      But your tastes are quite different. I like your channel but games that you rate a 6 for example for me or Dice tower are a 8-9 . Although i do agree a lot of times with your views. From what I understand you are a heavy Euro gamer.

      @@Thrasholis I like my light games also, just acquired a bunch of them recently. Something like Floriferous is 9 territory for me.

    am I the only one who hates the term "Filler?" To me it's like saying it's not a real game.

    • @DTChrisYi
      @DTChrisYi Рік тому +3

      You're not, but also I could say "This is a great filler game" or I could say "This is a great game that takes a few minutes to teach and under 15 minutes to play with a pretty simple ruleset." That means the same when any of us say it. It would be weird to say it's not a real game, then give it a 9.

      “Hero of Alexandria (Heron) in first-century Roman Egypt described what appears to be a wind-driven wheel to power a machine.” -Wikipedia 🤷🏼‍♂️ Hope that’s close enough for you to enjoy what looks like a cool game.

    • @notsaved
      @notsaved Рік тому +2

      @@thephantomhennes it does look like a cool little game but the theme is already pasted on (not sure what I split you choose has to do with building Rome), they could have at least made it consistent... Heron's windwheel was mostly a curio btw, first windmills like the meeples here appeared in 12th century Europe...

      @12345678abracadabra abstract fillers can have great themes too even if they are not mechanically thematic. There's a reason if Santorini is not about skyscrapers, but do go off
