Funny thing about Vaal Winds is that you can self-curse with Shackles of the Wretched and Kaom's Roots to make the corrupting buff last longer. Everyone knows about Headhunter, but they don't know that it works with stuff like Vaal Winds too.
Nice presentation here but let me put in my two cents ; 1 - Sextant rolling is a random gamble albeit conjugating the right subsequent mods is key. 2 - Vaal Winds requires another map encounter to stack sufficient drops , like breaches or incursions. 3 - I don't believe 6 socketing items has an average of 150 jewellers , crafting bench puts this number at 350 but i personally think it's closer to 250. Crafting sockets and links is boring work though. 4 - Crafting enchanted helmet bases is actually a great idea but requires a fairly decent knowledge of this games meta plus crafting methods. Thanks for sharing and remember … real life comes first :-)
I've recently crafted a couple of rares up to 38% before linking then crafting them (an Exquisite Blade and an ES chest) and they both took around 500 fusings. Win!
For the guys trying the legion tactic. If you don't have a minion build, dont even try. They will 1 hit you everytime if you go close. Unless you have a big tank character
intervention and research in Betrayal have near deterministic outcomes with great returns all league once set up. Messing that up to gamble six linking seems bad unless the profit is super insane ( and it isn't ).
I'm really surprised your brought up farming hillock for quality, yet didn't mention further boosting those six links with the vorici white sockets bench from research.
Anyways with 27Q on rares (hillok + Q crafted in bech) isn't worth at all. The chance to get 6L is almost the same than 20Q and ypu still need a lot of RNG at the end. For example, my 1st 6L rare on this league has 27Q before being 6s. It cost me like 700 jew to get 6 socket (ikn with bench is only 350, but I used it when i just reach like 200) and for making it 6L like 3ex in fusings. A 6L was 6ex in that time, so maybe I've save 1ex and half?

That doesn't make you immune to RNG though.. there's always going to be bad luck, good luck, and average luck. But given the easy chance of getting better odds, i'll take it. Hillock bench isn't very hard to get and totally worth imo. I've been farming it to quality up all my flasks, and you get it every safehouse if you know how to manipulate the board. If i was looking to 6L something I'd throw him on that division and run 1 safehouse with that division.

when Harbringers orb was low, i bought them, had alot of t13 maps, quality upp them from 0 to 20, but a orb in it, got Harbringer t15 currupt maps, prfoit 40c per map haha! i shall try this too sense i am running yr build! thanks for the video mate
You missed a huuuuge money maker there: sextant: nemesis monsters each drop 3 additional currency items. Do I have to say more? I guess not. Stacking packsize and nemesis monsters on a fully juiced T16 map will make you at least 30c up to 60c per map just from raw currency drops. Only currency from the sextant counted. It's the most broken sextant i know and if you get this from awakend sextants you better juice that region to hell because it will 5 to 10x your investment easy. The only downside on this is you will spend 5min clear the map and 10+ min to pick up all the loot. It's ridiculous

Hey Nathan, I'm a relatively new player, been playing on the recent league and trying to get my bearings and your vids have helped tremendously so far. I do have 2 questions that this video have inspired, what build was it that you were using here? I can see it's a templar fire-esque build? And secondly, what build would you recommend for someone trying to establish an actual foundation for themselves? I've actually run through a lot of different builds so far, summoner, Ngahamu chief, leech cyclone slayer, and currently leveling a power siphon kinetic blast pathfinder and actually enjoying it.
In this video he's playing a fireball miner using the shadow's sabeoteur ascendancy class. Miners are quite generic and have many variations so if you want some ideas about how they work, look on the shadow (set filter to saboteur) subforums on the PoE site. Miners are known for being one of the strongest and versatile builds, and that hasn't changed this league so they're still doing very well. They have good clear speed and typically very strong single target for bosses. If you haven't played one before, then I'd suggest considering it. They do take some getting used to though, and will feel a bit clunky before you get used to it.
Strong starter build I would recommend is witch necromancer summoning builds. They are strong, tanky, and you get a feel for how the game is played, plus minions are strong and easy to get started and complete all map contents + bosses very well.
I've probably used 200+ awakened sextants throughout the league (i usually use prime, they are way cheaper and work better for my strat).and I've never seen that mod. Pretty unlucky on my part I think though.
I've done like 25 kills with about 18 or so being from doing carries, honestly the biggest reason so many people haven't killed him yet is accessibility, just takes too long to get to him, especially if you fail the first couple of times it can be extremely demoralizing
i think best way to farm mid lvl and be very rich do merciless lab service with a juggernaut and a 4 link herald of agony + all boss before maps........

yes, the reason is when you go clean the stash after you will be more focused on doing just that which significantly speeds up the whole process. it doesn't matter much if you are a slow mapper though. When going full speed it adds up
Not so sure. Tried dump tabs before and even if I go full speed I find it easier to just sell garbage straight away and put currency into currency tab. I still dump stuff I want to keep besides currency.
sell 6 sockets right away. do it while the map device do the map opening animation. selling it right away is good for 2 reasons, 1. the dump tab wont fill up as quickly, so you can do longer mapping sessions. 2. there aint a searching function for 6 sockets, which is annoying while cleaning your stashtab

pretty stupid methods if you ask me. you dont even use esence drain for the legion. and all that requires a lot of time trading. i make far more money while just running maps. far more and its more fun. and also you cant sell it immediately all the time that means your currency is in your stahs and does nothing. you should rather invest in your gear to farm maps faster / or get more hp.

im super surprised you didnt put leveling awakened skill gems on here... even the shitty ones are awesome Awakened Ancestral Call Support buy for an ex level it sell it for 5 ex. 500% return. *but it takes soooo long* not really...1,920,820,181 vs 342,050,139 = 5.6:1 but here is the thing if you level 6 sets of ancestral calls vs 1 set of awakened ancestral calls are you gonna make 24 ex?20 20 ones are 20 chaos and level 21 23 ones are 55 chaos. so if every single one becomes a 21 23 (it wont) you get 55 x 6 = 330 x 6 = 1980 vs 24 ex (3,936 chaos at the 140 to 1 ex ratio) so even when your luck is stupidly insane... just leveling awakened gems is better. plus level however you feel like. wanna delve? cool go ahead. or blood aqa for fucking hours? cool still go ahead gems dont have xp cuts so it really doesn't matter.
Getting 100 of them creates a breachstone-like item, you need 2 different ones and put them in the map device, then you get to kill infinitely respawning waves of legions until the timer runs out, and you get rewards based on how many you killed.

Im not sure if I believe that 20% quality leads to easier linking. MBX Extreme did a great test on youtube for this. Check out slipperyjim8, he's done multiple tests using far more fusings at many different levels of quality. No offense to MBX, but only 30 linkings is a bit too small of a sample size to refute the other data.
pretty good video but the probleme with your method to make money , u need a strong build able to make a +14 tier map with good dps and the most of player in poe dont reach that point , better to make a video for easy way to get currency without reaching hight tier map or end game since many new player will not be able to reach the point in your vidéo and most people not all arent new player and have good understanding of this game and dont really need a guide like this. And for the part where u making 6link Quality itemfor selling them is DEFINETLY NOT A GOOD methode just for 1 cause its RNG better sell Fusing or keep them for other build since u can be lucky and make it in 20fusing or making it in 5K + fusing (like a friend of me) and not worth at all

For a few days this league, zana was bugged and you could her missions with scarabs. The thing is, both the map and her mission applied the scarab.

If you have a good summoner build, you can afk white blighted maps as well. Very good money for no work

I've pumped ~4500 fusings into a 20% quality Chest, and after that I went for the Bench craft ... seems like the Numbers are not viable anymore.
Vaal Winds is good...but the TIME IT TAKES to maybe get six sockets and six links really never trumps just being efficient in running your maps.
You need to self curse for vaal winds makes it last 4x as long (nearly 20 second)

Step 2: use your already rich gear to farm rich aspects of the game

Nogotaku if you are a new player just play and sell everything you get, you will just casually sit at 10ex after a month of playing 1-2 hours per day
