i love that the team is making vids only for the sake of knowledge, not trying to sell their monthly subscription or such
We all deal with a pimple every now and then, there’s no shame in that!
Must be our lucky day! Definitely miss videos from Sven! ♥
We release them regularly...
Yess
"We're repossessing your car?"
"What, why?"
"You missed your last 8 car payments."
"You don't understand I really needed this single pair of bespoke shoes."
At least I'm comfy walking now.
Also
"Hey, did you walk here?"
-"Yeah"
"Where's your car?"
-"I sold it for this camel hair polo coat."
😂😁
Lol 😂
Expensive but worth it: Preston as goat inspector.
Probably my favorite crazy priced objects are my chef knives. I've had my knives for nearly 15 years now, and they might have cost as much as a used car, but my grand kids will be able to enjoy them when I'm gone, and they're a grounding staple in my life. My tastes change, I move, people come and they go, but those knives are basically a rock solid constant I can depend on.
As my mother and i were watching this video. She began scolding my father for wearing pants too long that go under his boots 😂You showed how long should the pants be.
Quality leather gloves are a must in a cold weather climate, in my opinion. They protect you from the wind, which woollen gloves cannot
Honestly, I almost always buy the smaller carpano antica for home use. In the fridge and at that size, you really never have to worry about it going off. It's like buying a 12 pack of seltzer water instead of one 2L bottle
Sounds like a lot of waste. A sensible person might consider a high quality water filtration system. At the end of the day you’re only rehydrating the body.
4 more items worth every penny:
1. Custom insoles for sneakers
2. High quality nail cutters (you’ll only ever need a set)
3. Flonase sensimist (talk to your doctor, not medical advice)
4. Anti-fog Glass lenses (sprays are inconvenient, masks are a nightmare)
Anything made by skilled craftsmen with the finest materials is worth spending more on. Furniture, clothes, jewellery, luggage, machines, even housewares. A whole host of categories.
This was an beautiful educational video! And glad to see you back Sven! 🙂 happy 36th!
Also worth its money: a quality bbq!
That is true.
Is it bad I watch this channel mainly because I enjoy learning about the fabrics n getting present ideas for my boyfriend?
Dear Gentlemen Gazette
Could you please do a video about Pocket Watches?
I personally don’t know much about them. Wristwatches are much more mainstream than pocket watches. Yet pocket watches have that vintage and sophisticated feeling. It would be very helpful if you guys did a video about it...the different types and brand of pocket watches for example.
I'd like that. Especially if they included antique examples from before the wristwatch was invented.
Love your coverage on bespoke shoes. As someone who has struggled with an ultra wide foot with high instep and narrow heels, bespoke and modified lasts have been a wonderful relatively recent discovery. I hope you do an in-depth episode on the process and the artisans around the wonderful craft.
Also +1 on chairs, knives and scarves
For those that appreciate it, definitely a nice timepiece can be definitely worth it.
00:15 I like that you have an Eierschalensollbruchstellenverursacher ;)))
Hahaha jo jetzt seh ich ihn auch😅
Klar, fürs Frühstücksei!

I laughed so hard about Preston inspecting every single goat! 🤣
I have one of the things you mentioned! Feeling fancy today!
I wish there was a Ladies’ Gazette. There is an avalanche of lousy beauty and fashion advice out there for women.
I have a extra long solid stick umbrella i had made by Fox with my initial on it. Its functioning and durable.
Hello Gentlemen Gazette team
Could you guys do a video about the “Gentlemen’s car” ? And how does a car impact/compliment the image of a gentleman?
IF I had the money, I'd get a Maybach without a doubt.
@@josecarlosrechy
Nice
I'd feel like a Rolls Royce or a Cadillac would be a "premium gentleman's car"
Bed / Mattress, sunglasses, dressing gown - anything you regularly use and enjoy basically . Anything else will not be worth it - its very individual.
Very happy that you mentioned a
Hancock & Moore,
I have such a hard time finding high quality furniture. Their are so many dishonest companies out there acting like their products are high
quality.
Talking about vermouth, Puglia is not a region in Sicily. The state of Puglia, or Apulia is on the main peninsula of Italy, located on the heel of the boot.
This channel has been a blessing to me
great video. as always!!!
I always love to see knives from my hometown in videos like this :)
I bought a set of Shuns a couple years ago. It makes prepping food so much better and even more fun. The Vitamix we bought is awesome. It's fun to even make soups.Bow ties are great and I am gathering a collection.
5:52 why did I stop right at this particular time XD holy moly I am on the floor wheezing XD
Hi-Steam professional iron defiantly worth it because I’m a house manager for a large estate home and I can watch these videos while doing my ironing therapy :)
I’m so glad that you’ve done this video, I truly adore your Top 12 videos. They are super helpful .
Great video!!!!...I like how "the horn" doesn't stop this channel from Makin video...I love this!!!!!.... 👍👍👍 Keep up the good work!!!... I'm inspired
Great video. Creed is worth it as well as the knives, scarves, wines, and many other items referenced. Nice to have a few nice things around one in life to enjoy. Keep up the great work!
i'm impressed by your content. great work gentlemen
I got a burberry scarf and their scarfe is great. It works great with my coats.
Along the same vine as knives, I invested in a good set of whetstones and a good strop, to keep them in excellent quality and to my liking.
Have the team considered creating a proper storage and maintenance for men's clothes?(Coat hangers, tie storage, belts, shoes.) Long term/seasonal storage too and that sort of thing?
Love the content.
The way he shows his pimple in the start of the Video is so clever. Takes away the elephant in the room.
The interesting thing about this list is that it is a reasonable place to go for an idea of quality. Most people won’t buy these. Even people who can afford these items might not buy them.
The cool thing is that getting familiar with this type of thing is informative. It gives people a high point to work back from. When I’m familiar with the best valued items, I can find more affordable items with many of the same characteristics.
22:22 The Puglia region of Sicily? Please tell me I misheard that.
A good quilt attache case
An upload on a Monday? Ought to be interesting
So on your recommendation, I'm trying a gin martini with the vermouth you featured, using Aviation Gin (which is very flavorful) and you're right! It's absolutely sublime.
18:50 $11,995 is not "relatively inexpensive" lol
Relative to buying the country of Ecuador, it actually is quite inexpensive.
Relative to the $20,000 example, it's inexpensive!
Investing in quality is a time saver. Time is money, buying long lasting items is life's discount.
Looks like some J and FJ Baker Russian calf! Can’t wait to see the bespoke shoe video, I absolutely adore that leather... Very tasteful choice!
If you want a good, clean, relatively inexpensive watch I really enjoy Tayroc.
I’ve had some for well over 2 years that I’ve really enjoyed and have about 7 in total.
Normal price is usually between like $80 and $200 but you can usually get a sale price between $50-$120.
Vita mix is a must if you love smoothies or other blended stuff soo worth the money and still going strong after 7 years !
Veggie Bullet is as good and 1/4 of the price and will last forever unless you’re a 500 seater restaurant it’ll do I promise you
I purchased the Japanese scissors from the last video. Great purchase. My wife loves them. Thank you
Which video is that?
I absolutely adore The Weirdos.
5:31 Dahllohrs :) love it.
6:00 regarding th cashmere scarf, alpaca whit silk can work too
Nisolo's Huaraches and Swims braided loafer (for swimming) are on my list. Please review them 🙇 it is around the time for summer (already here in Texas lol) they changed my opinion on sandals but of course flip flops or open toed are a no-go 👎
Really nice shoes Rafael.
Custom shirts are worth the cost. Made to measure to bespoke, $130 and up, you need at least five.
Great video... I quite love these topics. Yep, a good scarf lasts for so long. I have a grey high quality lambswool scarf. Would like to get a cashmere one some day, like the ones at Fort Belvedere. Red/orange/blue. I'm a sucker for red, the colour that is. A nice bright red really pops, especially with some neutral colours like grey.
Agreed on office chairs. I have a SteelCase Leap (V2?) that I bought used. I hope I can afford a new Herman Miller/Steelcase in the future for my next chair. Used chairs can be good deals though. I hope I can afford all or at least most of the items in this video eventually.
I use a wingback chair in my office because I spend a lot of time in front of the computer. You can get some great wing-backed chairs used that are hardly used at all for under $50 and the springs in the chair seat make it last much longer than an office chair and it is a lot more comfortable. The only negative as that they don't have wheels but that really is a minor inconvenience. As watches go I prefer a Breitling.
I have taken notes from your videos and soon I will be sitting with the zeus
I can’t believe that knives from Sheffield didn’t make the list too.
Sadly the British mass production knife making industry isn't what it once was. There are still some small scale craftsmen making quality products though.
Are there plans to do a video about car etiquette?
Hi Gentlemen Gazette Team, which Camel-Hair Polo Coat? I should buy Ralph Lauren or Ben Silver?
Loakes and Jefferey west shoes the way forward in life!
Do you still have that Gruen pocket watch? And if yes do you still wear it? Love the direction of the channel, I’m here since 2016 and the quality of the video keeps increasing!
Video could as well be named:"more things I am too poor to afford"
Found your channel tonight and subscribed immediately. I am a big fan of proper dress, etc. If it were up to me, professionals would wear suits every day; I would certainly do so as well (and I will when I start my new career next year, even though it's not very common anymore).
Taylor of Old Bond Street do some very good reasonably priced grooming products and scents. Their sandalwood cologne is brilliant. Real badger hair shaving brushes as well. I just got rid of one that had lasted 17 years. £30 well spent in 2004.
What is you opinion on Beckett Simonon shoes?
Pocket knives as well,
Good stuff. +1 for the chair, chef’s knife (gyuto), vitamix and Carpano/Luxardo, though the last two you need to be of discerning taste to appreciate.
I’d include a quality mattress in the list. Stearns & Foster or higher.
Cabeza de Huevo. Love the video!
I'm interested in the Preston Slaughter sandwich maker.
I like Green Irish Tweed I have that at my house
Gomez Adams back at it with the UA-cam channel
15:22 had me freaking out... one wrong move and you'll lose a finger! Please learn to properly grip food because you will cut yourself. Be safe!
Source: working in a kitchen
Edit: I'm referring to the "claw grip" method. Guaranteed to have you never accidentally cut one of your digits off!
It did look dangerous. Very large strokes with the knife and the fingers exposed to cut without protection.
@@perosa99
I’m thinking those are a chef’s fingers, not his.
I think that RM Williams boots are well worth their cost.
Thinking about buying the Black Bow Tie in Silk Faille Grosgrain Sized Butterfly - Fort Belvedere, do you thinking it would be appropriate with an Ivory dinner jacket as in 20:40? or would you recommend another one?
Yes, it would look nice I think. The wide grosgrain has a wider rib. It really comes down to your preference. Personally, I would go with a grosgrain or barathea because of the texture.
A Filson wool coat is worth every penny! I never regret buying it.
Expensive but worth it: Saphir Medaille D'Or products!
Well, just bought two Chesterfield couches because of this. RIP my bank account. Though did not go with this level of quality because that's out of my reach, but the ones I ordered have hardwood frames, top grain semi-ailine leather, and very good reviews.
Thank you very much for bringing this style of couch to my attention! It's so elegant and classy looking. I can't wait to have them in my home!
Excellent. What company did you go with?
@@gentlemansgazette We found a Canadian company named Decor-Rest.
2:46 Preston making it rain!
Is a brooks brothers made to measure suit worth it?
A negroni cocktail using Antica Formula and Amaro Montenegro is absolutely to die for!
Will you ever do some sort of sale on fort belvedere? As to compensate the steep shipping cost :) (I live in Europe)
Dear Daniel, we never had a big sale, and I don't think we will ever have one. Instead, we focus on providing high-quality goods, and those have their price. We also try to offer you the goods at a fair price year round, and we offer volume discounts because that saves us money and we pass that on to you. We use the same fabrics as other brands such as Dranks but their ties cost a lot more for example. So you are already getting a good price. We also lowered our shipping cost to Europe and you can still get free shipping.
Hi Sven, I recommend that you look into a Thermomix, my mother has one, very much worth it.
I went to the Vitamix website. It looks like you have the 7500 model not the 750 Professional. Is that correct? I want to buy one and if you have 7500 and it does all you need it to then I will buy that too. Please let me know. Thank you! Great video and product information!
I m a fan of vintage Omega seamster dress watch and I m fan of Tissot
I'm not in the market for any of the items featured in this vid; but this morning I actually did buy a lima bean green silk knit tie, just like yours. I didn't know the color is called "chartreuse". Man, I feel so stylish.
Carpano vermouth matched with Bèrto Bitter Liquore Amaro and and a dry gin is my go to Negroni and tastes better than what most bars serve 😇 nice to see Raphael is a connoisseur in this area as well
For watches i use a Curren 8314 watch, while is a USD$35 it's work perfectly, and the finish is sturdy and the glass remain unspotted after a year of use, while i can see the appeal of high end brand, some low end watches can still caught the attention, especially between the younger ones and be part of a gentleman attire
Any idea of ever of making a video on quality shotguns for clay shooting. A gentleman’s sport !
I'm a pocket watch man myself. Recommendations?
what would be an appropriate length for the cashmere scarf for a man?
I love my japanese knives, the worth the money.
A good bed and good shoes. If you’re not in one you’re in the other. Also shoecare products by Saphir Medaille D'Or and real horsehair brushes are purchases I’ve always been pleased with.
What formal wear should you own if you live in a warm climate?
What is the brand of camel coat do you have
you should try a standing desk...i love it...fixed most of my back pain! also...what shoes/boots are you wearing in the snow (around 7 minute mark)?
You will have problems with your legs though.
@@bobfg3130 haha you sit for 5 years, stand for 5 years then switch/repeat until retirement
@@aarondaniels629
I think there might be another solution. Some standing desks have treadmills. An adjustable desk that could be used for both standing and sitting would be great.
