I try not to compare the quantity of content between D4 and PoE... but... Good lord PoE knocked it out of the park. If the D4 team had 1/4 of the quality of the PoE team it would make such a huge difference. Kudos to GGG, I really like some of the folks over at Blizzards team but there is someone not pulling their weight.

Yeah but they will add an auction house now. So expect gameplay to be less important than playing the auction house, and if you don't do it you will suck. Trading there was already almost mandatory, and this will cement it. Sad.
PoE at this point became something of an MMO with construction, material mining, bases, etc. This game has been in development for 10 years. Many PoE fans will say that the originators of this genre are the Diablo team, but I disagree. Diablo has always been focused on story-driven solo-experience with some expansion in the late game. They're trying to bring it to “mmo” status, but it's still a single player game without those Korean gacha expiriences. Diablo is not and never was designed to keep you in it forever, it's a seasonal game for 2-4 weeks and that's it. It was that way in D3 and it will be that way in D4. I would compare PoE to Lost Ark rather than Diablo. They are completely different games. Maybe people are braindamaged if they can't realize that and can't enjoy both games at the same time.
New Hampshire is a great state. I live in Maine just north of it but we aren’t getting the crazy summer heat and the winters are incredibly short I only had to shovel once last winter. Anyway New Hampshire doesn’t have income tax and New England is very nice.
Raising level cap is pointless if there's nothing that goes with it, like new bosses of higher level, new content etc. I am more interested in what new stuff (content of all types) they'll add with expansion than some level cap or a new class.

Without an edgame like poe mapping i just cant get excited about d4, but I want too. The game is fun, but the second i am done with my build i am bored. I have done it so many times now i am just not excited to start.

I've done research myself into other areas that I'd like to move to, specifically in Tennessee, and I found that Murfreesboro, Nashville, Brentwood, and Franklin Tennessee are all high up there for me. They're close enough to Nashville where you can enjoy some of their atmosphere, but far enough away where you get to enjoy the slow paced living. I'd love to move to Tennessee in the future, just be mindful of the heat being vastly different than Alaska
Just a random find here for this comment, but I have lived in Murfreesboro my whole life (recently moved to Mount Juliet since Murfreesboro is getting a little packed these days) but yes you are correct. Traffic is a little bit of an issue in Franklin but once you learn your way around then you are ok because you know how to avoid certain areas (same with most areas including Murfreesboro) but if you drive to Nashville then make sure you have plenty of patience. I do miss Murfreesboro because it's got everything you need but it's quiet over here in Mount Juliet.
I think the way he said it was like "Traditionally seen in Diablo games, the lvl cap goes up" I feel they remove 40 paragon points to give us 10 talent points since the paragon boards will be unlocked at 60 and just keep the cap at 100 but that's just my guess tho :)
I first played D1 when I was around 15 years old (Now I'm 41) and I can guarantee that D1 was very very good. Simple, but enough to get ppl interested. Back then there was still an overlay map. How great it was! Hope that they will bring this back one day.

Ikr D4 is so much better. It has endless content and stuff to do. Never get tired of playing it. Sooooo much to do. I can't imagine D4 devs leaked stuff about the expansion because PoE's announcement. They'd never do anything like that. They're too busy creating new stuff to do and adding inventory space.
OFC level cap will go up. By itself it gives huge incentive to buy the expansion + gives them easy buffer to rebalance around new class without touching anything that has been done up till now (old classess at higher lvls will scale accordingly to SB not to each other - hopefully, allowing to sneak seemless buffs and nerfs here and there without upseting everyone)
"You can play druid with 19 damage for 120 levels now. After you farm for 100 hours at level 100 you can get 23 damage. That's a huge buff". Blizzard probably
You know what I hate from Blizzard is they have to keep quiet about everything. when we have POE over here laying everything on the table not holding back. This is so frustrating and I know why they do it.
poe has been quiet for years about most of their development about poe 2 and so on with some updates here and there... so no poe hasn't been laying everything on the table..
I would say it would be part of the renown track for the new areas, just like other areas give you skill points and paragons. Tho 11 extra skill points is hard to pinpoint with any confidence.
So the PoE 1 guys are basically the sustainment team, or B team. Blizzard has their A team and S team (movies and sound) working on the game. The B team at GGG just made Blizzard shit a brick. Just let that sink in. The B team.
Really hope max lvl is still 100. Cause if not thats just more useless grinding... I just wanna play the game at max level and farm for all the gear and make builds. Wish we had the option to bring an already max lvl character in every season with us.
The spirit borne looks cool with cool skills but I'm extremely disappointed that they only bringing 1 new class for the orientation of expansion That's outrageous and pathetic. They should have dropped 2-3 new classes maybe paladin and a nephelin class with angelic and demonic skills, heck they could have gave the current classes new skills atleast. Only 1 new class with a new boring time gated dungeon is outrageous
I recommend Jacksonville beach Florida. No state income tax, change of seasons but no snow, can take your bikes west to less populated areas or even north slightly into Georgia. Good luck
a level cap increase would be incredibly horrible for this game. this is an ARPG, not an MMO and i think alot of people would hate it. they said there are more altars in the expac on Raxxs stream i think so maybe its related to that. and they only increased level cap in D3, which only had a level cap of 60 at launch. i really hope they dont increase the level cap
TN is great. From someone who moved here as a young kid...hated it...and then grew to love it, I highly recommend moving here. You could live in the counties surrounding Davidson which is where Nashville is located. Wilson and WIlliamson county would be good choices. Or you could live in Knox county which is where Knoxville is and the University of Tennessee. Or somewhere around Chattanooga.
TN is probably a good choice. They have seasons there and winters are not as bad. I think Nashville has gotten expensive, but maybe some nice surrounding areas might be more affordable and less people. I wouldnt recommend TX or FL - no seasons, hot af in the summer. You might consider a state with no sales tax, as that would be a similar tax break.
Tennessee is amazing place to live. Very affordable. Pretty solid weather. I live here all my life. Chattanooga and Knoxville are very nice. Nashville isnt too bad either i think there's better options cost wise though.
I was wondering how they were going to force people to buy the expansion. It will be Reaper of Souls all over again. Sure, you don’t have to buy the expansion, but if you don’t then your level cap won’t change. If you buy the expansion, your level cap will go up. Too many people forget/don’t know that if you didn’t buy RoS in D3, your level cap was 60 and you couldn’t get level 70 gear.
They should copy POE's system to reapply a current character back into the next season, shoving every item into the temporary tabs in eternal realm or something
I think you have a good idea with Tennessee, in our around Nashville would be a great choice. Otherwise in or around Austin, Texas would be another good option to look into. Good luck man!
PoE release was amazing, and I also think a lot of it is sandbox for PoE2. They have already confirmed it is to some degree, so no one will convince me that more wasnt included for testing**
the POE update looks pretty crazy, shame that most people who start to play the game will likely never see it, the learning curve literally rebuffs people from going very far into the game. Hopefully POE2 won't be as niche as the original, it deserves a larger following, right now it suffers from it's over complexity.
Out of the only states that have no state income tax, WA and TX are the only ones I'd ever consider living in. I've lived in both (currently in Austin suburb) and they are pretty great. I'd expect that the environments WA provides will more closely resemble what you're use to.
There are places in washington state that will give you a similar outdoor feel without the crazy winters. Not sure how you fell abiut hot and humid but all the southern states and most lower midwest gave awful summers

FRANKLIN OR SPRING HILL TN, its beautiful, always something to do. And you get all of the season! Plus its only a skip away to Nashville if you need the big city
Johnson City TN, eastern part of the state, in the mountains. Nice climate. All four seasons. Nice town. My aunt lives there and if I could pick up and move just about anywhere, that would be my first choice.
Good stuff, thanks for the info. I think rhykker also got one of the devs to confirm this in an interview. He said you will have renown to farm in the new area to earn more skill points and extra paragons.
I will say that no matter how you feel about any of these games it’s a great time to be an ARPg fan. Tons of options for all kinds of players. Were eating good haha
TN is a good state in general, I'd avoid Nashville though, it's booming and prices there have skyrocketed in comparison to surrounding areas. In a very general study, it's cheaper than Alaska, but given how much shipping costs affect food, gas, etc in Alaska, it's not a fair comparison. Also keep in mind, TN is rated pretty high in crime rate (area/city dependent of course). Don't move to Florida, it's a hell hole, avoid that pit at all cost, Wyoming is great if you're looking for more "out-doorsy" type of activities, also you get all 4 seasons there. I know a few people who live in washington, and they love it there, I've never personally been there, but I know a lot of people that enjoy it there. Also, keep in mind, that while there is no income taxes in several states, they still make up for it in other taxes, so be sure to do due diligence.
Before you move check out things like gas and sales tax, states without income tax hit you REALLY hard in other areas (very specifically gas, home and auto insurance, and sales taxes for example in Florida) so unless you are making serious bank (roughly 200k+) it's actually more expensive. The grid and services matter too, any state that funds those is going to be way better usually as well (again an area FL sucks in). TN (current) is not terrible, but not great. The power grid and internet is at least much better than TX/FL, the state parks are amazing, the pollution and trash is really bad. Lived in two of three, looked into moving to the third and didn't thankfully (TX). No state income tax is a trap.
Im here in Sioux Falls SD but im from WV originally. I moved here in 2022 from Louisville KY. I love it here. You couldnt drag me back to the east coast. We have no state income tax or corporate tax or personal property tax.. We have the 3rd lowest cost of living in the nation and we are the 3rd least stressed state in the nation with the shortest commute times in the nation. The east coast sucks. I lived there my whole life. Its wayyy too expensive to live there and wayyy too humid. Consider South Dakota 🙃 the quality of life you can have here for the price is really tough to beat...
I'm not spending a cent until the review is out, 1 extra class + 1 extra area for $65 NZD standard edition, certainly puts it on the top tier in terms of pricing, but do we get coresponding compensation for the cost? yet to see, I'm not too optimistic about it though
Please don't increase level cap, just allow us to continue earning XP after 100 and slowly earning more paragon. Nice and easy. If this means we're getting 10 more skill points PLUS a use for XP after 100, I would be absolutely thrilled!

Id recommend Hill Country in Texas or north of San Antonio. Gets hot but thats what air conditioning is for. Tennessee housing market is in a hard bubble right now along with Austin and a couple other places. If TX, ATT Fiber is most reliable. We use Starlink as failover.
D4 ain’t got shit on PoE. $40 for more of the same content vs Free for new Ascendency and a whole new worker placement in PoE. Maybe the expansion will be a good campaign story, but the bosses were the same we’ve been fighting for a year. Also it was clear they gave no thought to on how the new Spirtborn fit into the world. While Settlers of Kalgur is a complete tie-in to the new Continent we will be exploring g in PoE2.
For moving out of Alaska, If you like the forested area's and such Wyoming would be your best bet. With all the national parks and forests while also checking your no income tax state. with the state capital Cheyenne only being a 2 hour motorcycle ride to Denver CO as well

there was an interview i saw where the devs confirmed that we would get 2 extra skill points from the map rewards it would also mean more obols and more paragon points plus there probably would be one more skill point from the new altars of lilith possibly

I really don't get the secrecy around all these things. Every other dev just actually shows what is happening. I feel like Blizzard really wants to try and stretch out the very few points they have to not run dry to soon. And they always talk in this very political "saying a lot without saying anything at all" manner, and it drives me NUTS. It just feels soulless, like apple announcing the new iPhone and using superfluous and pompous language to describe the 12 to 15 megapixel upgrade in the camera. Yeah we get it. Having a 3 more megapixels in a camera is not going to make me want to buy the new phone sorry. PoE just dropped an absolutely gigantic update for one of their seasons, and D4 has... "some reworked stats" and "a half baked rouge-like game mode in a single room that isn't even worth to play considering the rewards". Right now, they are trying to sell us stat changes as the big hype updates. Honestly. I am kind of annoyed that they NEVER say what is up, they always beat around the bush with everything, even something as mundane as a level cap increase. 10 more levels is not going to hype anyone.. what the hell is up with "we are not yet ready to announce anything". My god, it's infuriating.

I haven't played POE since the first year it came out. My understanding is it has the most complicated skills system of all ARPGs. That's why with POE2, the devs keep mentioning how it will be more accessible to new players. Not sure if adding RTS-game elements to the original POE is necessarily going to attract new players who might already have been a bit intimidated by the game's complexity.
@@Lupin788 Its 99% optional side missions you can just skip if you don't like them. If you know how to play Diablo 2 you know how to play PoE, the fundamentals are the same.
Lvl cap 110-120.. I think 10 is a safe bet if they follow the expansion level up route from other games.. But more skill points for passives, I'm all in!
Unless you're making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, you should probably consider a state that has income tax. States with no income tax generally have a higher sales tax, higher property taxes, and overall a higher cost of living. I live in Missouri and the cost of living is one of the lowest in the country, highly recommend.
As far as Tennessee, Memphis is a great city to go visit. The Tennessee, Kentucky, southern Illinois is probably close to your Alaska summer but with far less snow for winter.
I don't live in Tenessee, I live in Ohio but I've been there on vacation a lot. Crossville Tenessee is a great place, it's probably more expensive than other areas but it's not very crowded several things around and not very far from some of the larger cites if you want to take a day trip. I highly suggest Crossville and while yes it's kind of a vacation town I still quite love it. If I were to ever move to the state that's where I'd go.
Make sure the ISPs offer fiber and is ok quality in the area you move to beforehand. My god I have seen too many streamers stumble into that pit of misery xD
And a new act. Probably yes. My assumption is that the item rework was meant for the expansion but was pushed early due to people being very unhappy with the state of the game.
10 more paragon points isn't really going to make much difference if you don't have enough points to reach another legendary node. Maybe some builds can reach 1 more legendary node but it won't be enough to make any of the underperforming builds catch up to the overperforming ones. Also judging by how the S5 PTR turned out if they don't make any real drastic changes, S5 may end up being the worst season yet. Time will tell in the coming weeks.
That view looks a lot like what you find along the coastal (anywhere west of Seattle/I5 corridor) and SW counties in Washington State. Gray's Harbor, Aberdeen and a number of other decent sized cities. Bonus is lots of great places to ride along the coast.
a state with no state income tax is a noob trap, they often compensate for it in other ways (and potentially overcompensate) like excessive property tax. Just go wherever you might like to live and can afford. I would avoid the Mormon corridor though
Yeah anyone wanting to move to a state with no income tax should do a Google search on states ranked by "relative tax rate" or "tax burden" No income tax might mean they get you in other ways. ETA: Looked it up though and if he is thinking of Tennessee for tax reasons it is one of the better choices. It is ranked as one of the lowest states in tax burden. I mean I wouldn't live there but he has different priorities than me.
Maybe it's my Eurobrain but I cant imagine moving to another country/state solely for tax reasons without other considerations... It looks like Americans just care about taxes, it doesn't matter if the roads are falling apart, nobody has Healthcare, no big city is safe... Just lower my taxes and let everything else fall apart because screw my country. Very patriotic.
@unixtreme yeah, you're totally right. A good example in the US is massachusetts. It has high taxes but is much more progressive and has some of the highest public spending in the country. People may complain about taxes, but it's one of the best places to live and is #1 in education. Living in Mississippi, on the other hand, might be cheap, but it's a shitty place to live

Ikr D4 is so much better. It has endless content and stuff to do. Never get tired of playing it. Sooooo much to do. I can't imagine D4 devs leaked stuff about the expansion because PoE's announcement. They'd never do anything like that. They're too busy creating new stuff to do and adding inventory space.

OFC level cap will go up. By itself it gives huge incentive to buy the expansion + gives them easy buffer to rebalance around new class without touching anything that has been done up till now (old classess at higher lvls will scale accordingly to SB not to each other - hopefully, allowing to sneak seemless buffs and nerfs here and there without upseting everyone)

You know what I hate from Blizzard is they have to keep quiet about everything. when we have POE over here laying everything on the table not holding back. This is so frustrating and I know why they do it.
poe has been quiet for years about most of their development about poe 2 and so on with some updates here and there... so no poe hasn't been laying everything on the table..
I would say it would be part of the renown track for the new areas, just like other areas give you skill points and paragons. Tho 11 extra skill points is hard to pinpoint with any confidence.

Really hope max lvl is still 100. Cause if not thats just more useless grinding... I just wanna play the game at max level and farm for all the gear and make builds. Wish we had the option to bring an already max lvl character in every season with us.
I was underwhelmed with the Spirtborn, and that wasn't enough for me to buy the DLC. We need more content and features.
The spirit borne looks cool with cool skills but I'm extremely disappointed that they only bringing 1 new class for the orientation of expansion
That's outrageous and pathetic. They should have dropped 2-3 new classes maybe paladin and a nephelin class with angelic and demonic skills, heck they could have gave the current classes new skills atleast.

I recommend Jacksonville beach Florida. No state income tax, change of seasons but no snow, can take your bikes west to less populated areas or even north slightly into Georgia. Good luck
a level cap increase would be incredibly horrible for this game. this is an ARPG, not an MMO and i think alot of people would hate it. they said there are more altars in the expac on Raxxs stream i think so maybe its related to that. and they only increased level cap in D3, which only had a level cap of 60 at launch. i really hope they dont increase the level cap
I would assume that the level cap will be 120. 60 main and 60 paragon. That way you can use the new paragon boards and have more choices.
TN is great. From someone who moved here as a young kid...hated it...and then grew to love it, I highly recommend moving here. You could live in the counties surrounding Davidson which is where Nashville is located. Wilson and WIlliamson county would be good choices. Or you could live in Knox county which is where Knoxville is and the University of Tennessee. Or somewhere around Chattanooga.

TN is probably a good choice. They have seasons there and winters are not as bad. I think Nashville has gotten expensive, but maybe some nice surrounding areas might be more affordable and less people. I wouldnt recommend TX or FL - no seasons, hot af in the summer. You might consider a state with no sales tax, as that would be a similar tax break.
Tennessee is amazing place to live. Very affordable. Pretty solid weather. I live here all my life. Chattanooga and Knoxville are very nice. Nashville isnt too bad either i think there's better options cost wise though.
I was wondering how they were going to force people to buy the expansion. It will be Reaper of Souls all over again. Sure, you don’t have to buy the expansion, but if you don’t then your level cap won’t change. If you buy the expansion, your level cap will go up. Too many people forget/don’t know that if you didn’t buy RoS in D3, your level cap was 60 and you couldn’t get level 70 gear.
You can tell these people have no idea in what direction to take the game anymore
They should copy POE's system to reapply a current character back into the next season, shoving every item into the temporary tabs in eternal realm or something
I think you have a good idea with Tennessee, in our around Nashville would be a great choice. Otherwise in or around Austin, Texas would be another good option to look into. Good luck man!

PoE release was amazing, and I also think a lot of it is sandbox for PoE2. They have already confirmed it is to some degree, so no one will convince me that more wasnt included for testing**
the POE update looks pretty crazy, shame that most people who start to play the game will likely never see it, the learning curve literally rebuffs people from going very far into the game. Hopefully POE2 won't be as niche as the original, it deserves a larger following, right now it suffers from it's over complexity.
If tempering doesn't ruin the game for me completely, maybe raising the level cap will.
Out of the only states that have no state income tax, WA and TX are the only ones I'd ever consider living in. I've lived in both (currently in Austin suburb) and they are pretty great. I'd expect that the environments WA provides will more closely resemble what you're use to.
There are places in washington state that will give you a similar outdoor feel without the crazy winters. Not sure how you fell abiut hot and humid but all the southern states and most lower midwest gave awful summers

FRANKLIN OR SPRING HILL TN, its beautiful, always something to do. And you get all of the season! Plus its only a skip away to Nashville if you need the big city

Johnson City TN, eastern part of the state, in the mountains. Nice climate. All four seasons. Nice town. My aunt lives there and if I could pick up and move just about anywhere, that would be my first choice.

I will say that no matter how you feel about any of these games it’s a great time to be an ARPg fan. Tons of options for all kinds of players. Were eating good haha
TN is a good state in general, I'd avoid Nashville though, it's booming and prices there have skyrocketed in comparison to surrounding areas. In a very general study, it's cheaper than Alaska, but given how much shipping costs affect food, gas, etc in Alaska, it's not a fair comparison. Also keep in mind, TN is rated pretty high in crime rate (area/city dependent of course).
Don't move to Florida, it's a hell hole, avoid that pit at all cost, Wyoming is great if you're looking for more "out-doorsy" type of activities, also you get all 4 seasons there.
I know a few people who live in washington, and they love it there, I've never personally been there, but I know a lot of people that enjoy it there.
Also, keep in mind, that while there is no income taxes in several states, they still make up for it in other taxes, so be sure to do due diligence.
Before you move check out things like gas and sales tax, states without income tax hit you REALLY hard in other areas (very specifically gas, home and auto insurance, and sales taxes for example in Florida) so unless you are making serious bank (roughly 200k+) it's actually more expensive. The grid and services matter too, any state that funds those is going to be way better usually as well (again an area FL sucks in). TN (current) is not terrible, but not great. The power grid and internet is at least much better than TX/FL, the state parks are amazing, the pollution and trash is really bad. Lived in two of three, looked into moving to the third and didn't thankfully (TX). No state income tax is a trap.
Im here in Sioux Falls SD but im from WV originally. I moved here in 2022 from Louisville KY. I love it here. You couldnt drag me back to the east coast. We have no state income tax or corporate tax or personal property tax.. We have the 3rd lowest cost of living in the nation and we are the 3rd least stressed state in the nation with the shortest commute times in the nation. The east coast sucks. I lived there my whole life. Its wayyy too expensive to live there and wayyy too humid. Consider South Dakota 🙃 the quality of life you can have here for the price is really tough to beat...
I'm not spending a cent until the review is out, 1 extra class + 1 extra area for $65 NZD standard edition, certainly puts it on the top tier in terms of pricing, but do we get coresponding compensation for the cost? yet to see, I'm not too optimistic about it though

Please don't increase level cap, just allow us to continue earning XP after 100 and slowly earning more paragon. Nice and easy. If this means we're getting 10 more skill points PLUS a use for XP after 100, I would be absolutely thrilled!

Id recommend Hill Country in Texas or north of San Antonio. Gets hot but thats what air conditioning is for. Tennessee housing market is in a hard bubble right now along with Austin and a couple other places.
If TX, ATT Fiber is most reliable. We use Starlink as failover.
D4 ain’t got shit on PoE. $40 for more of the same content vs Free for new Ascendency and a whole new worker placement in PoE.
Maybe the expansion will be a good campaign story, but the bosses were the same we’ve been fighting for a year. Also it was clear they gave no thought to on how the new Spirtborn fit into the world. While Settlers of Kalgur is a complete tie-in to the new Continent we will be exploring g in PoE2.

For moving out of Alaska, If you like the forested area's and such Wyoming would be your best bet. With all the national parks and forests while also checking your no income tax state. with the state capital Cheyenne only being a 2 hour motorcycle ride to Denver CO as well

there was an interview i saw where the devs confirmed that we would get 2 extra skill points from the map rewards it would also mean more obols and more paragon points plus there probably would be one more skill point from the new altars of lilith possibly

D4 never held my interest long enough to get to the current level cap. Increasing it just means I never will.
I’m not convinced of the level thing cause usually when Blizzard release an expansion for pre purchase it will say ‘level to 110’ or whatever level, wouldn’t that be a selling point? Or maybe they’ll do it another season
I really don't get the secrecy around all these things. Every other dev just actually shows what is happening. I feel like Blizzard really wants to try and stretch out the very few points they have to not run dry to soon. And they always talk in this very political "saying a lot without saying anything at all" manner, and it drives me NUTS. It just feels soulless, like apple announcing the new iPhone and using superfluous and pompous language to describe the 12 to 15 megapixel upgrade in the camera. Yeah we get it. Having a 3 more megapixels in a camera is not going to make me want to buy the new phone sorry.
PoE just dropped an absolutely gigantic update for one of their seasons, and D4 has... "some reworked stats" and "a half baked rouge-like game mode in a single room that isn't even worth to play considering the rewards".
Right now, they are trying to sell us stat changes as the big hype updates. Honestly. I am kind of annoyed that they NEVER say what is up, they always beat around the bush with everything, even something as mundane as a level cap increase. 10 more levels is not going to hype anyone.. what the hell is up with "we are not yet ready to announce anything". My god, it's infuriating.

I haven't played POE since the first year it came out. My understanding is it has the most complicated skills system of all ARPGs. That's why with POE2, the devs keep mentioning how it will be more accessible to new players. Not sure if adding RTS-game elements to the original POE is necessarily going to attract new players who might already have been a bit intimidated by the game's complexity.
@@Lupin788 Its 99% optional side missions you can just skip if you don't like them. If you know how to play Diablo 2 you know how to play PoE, the fundamentals are the same.
Lvl cap 110-120.. I think 10 is a safe bet if they follow the expansion level up route from other games..
But more skill points for passives, I'm all in!
Unless you're making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, you should probably consider a state that has income tax. States with no income tax generally have a higher sales tax, higher property taxes, and overall a higher cost of living. I live in Missouri and the cost of living is one of the lowest in the country, highly recommend.
As far as Tennessee, Memphis is a great city to go visit.
The Tennessee, Kentucky, southern Illinois is probably close to your Alaska summer but with far less snow for winter.
I don't live in Tenessee, I live in Ohio but I've been there on vacation a lot. Crossville Tenessee is a great place, it's probably more expensive than other areas but it's not very crowded several things around and not very far from some of the larger cites if you want to take a day trip. I highly suggest Crossville and while yes it's kind of a vacation town I still quite love it. If I were to ever move to the state that's where I'd go.

The d4 change makes sense. 75% of players stop playing at level 51. The change gives more reason for those players to engage longer.

10 more paragon points isn't really going to make much difference if you don't have enough points to reach another legendary node. Maybe some builds can reach 1 more legendary node but it won't be enough to make any of the underperforming builds catch up to the overperforming ones. Also judging by how the S5 PTR turned out if they don't make any real drastic changes, S5 may end up being the worst season yet. Time will tell in the coming weeks.
It warms my heart that you loved Diablo 1. Diablo 2 is a masterpiece, but Diablo 1 was always my favorite as well. The atmosphere was just top notch.
That view looks a lot like what you find along the coastal (anywhere west of Seattle/I5 corridor) and SW counties in Washington State. Gray's Harbor, Aberdeen and a number of other decent sized cities. Bonus is lots of great places to ride along the coast.

Yeah anyone wanting to move to a state with no income tax should do a Google search on states ranked by "relative tax rate" or "tax burden" No income tax might mean they get you in other ways. ETA: Looked it up though and if he is thinking of Tennessee for tax reasons it is one of the better choices. It is ranked as one of the lowest states in tax burden. I mean I wouldn't live there but he has different priorities than me.
Maybe it's my Eurobrain but I cant imagine moving to another country/state solely for tax reasons without other considerations...
It looks like Americans just care about taxes, it doesn't matter if the roads are falling apart, nobody has Healthcare, no big city is safe... Just lower my taxes and let everything else fall apart because screw my country. Very patriotic.
@unixtreme yeah, you're totally right. A good example in the US is massachusetts. It has high taxes but is much more progressive and has some of the highest public spending in the country. People may complain about taxes, but it's one of the best places to live and is #1 in education.
Living in Mississippi, on the other hand, might be cheap, but it's a shitty place to live

I hate the word "leak". I always assume that when something is "leaked" it's to appease the waiting crowd. Just to calm them down before the inevitable shitstorm that is the final product. The romans had a special building for this kind of stuff... it was called the Collosseum. And boy, did it work.
What is point of more skill points? More points into passive skills? No they would need at least one more new skill for each class.
