- We wanted to prove that you could start a business starting with just $10. So over the course of a three-month period, we're trying to get $5,000 in eBay Sales After Fees and all the supplies we need to start a business. This week, we have to get creative because we don't have enough items to list for this week. Luckly, there is a huge neighborhood yard sale where we hope to pick up 50 more items!

Brother Dave is the embodiment of wholesomeness. Also, I echo the comment below regarding a 1 year challenge. Maybe you make the end goal to have enough cash on hand to make the down payment on an average "starter" house. It would get really interesting once yard sale season is over, and you could add a rule that any connections or buys moving forward you have to build on your own. As always, looking forward to the next one :D

What Al Pal stated in this video about the differences between relisting & "sell similar" on ebay completely contradicts what has been stated in previous videos. Previously, you have stated that a new item number is only generated on ebay using "sell similar" as opposed to just relisting the item. So which is correct?
Sell similar gives the item a new number as if it was a brand new listing. When relisting it knows it’s the same item. “Relisting” never really makes sense unless you’re changing the price or title or anything, but even then you should sell similar. If your item has 2 or more watchers, don’t do that but just send offers instead. When you sell similar you lose the watchers, if you relist you keep your watchers BUT it won’t boost it in the algorithm.
Maybe Brother Dave is thinking about variation listings? You could have a listing for "Star Wars Figures" then the viewer can choose which figure they want from a drop down box.

The type of listing hes talking about is where you have 1 listing and its like Carded Star Wars Return Of The Jedi Action Figures and theres a drop down where you choose which figure you want to buy and can get multiple different figs in the same order saving on shipping

Enjoy series been full time for 7 yrs roughly 4k items in 3 stores. Biggest issue is new to resell dont buy shelves new. That kind of shelf on market place $15-25. My main storage unit 12x28 has 3 rows of 6'6" edsal/muscle shelves 3500lbs. Out of 12 in there only 1 was bought new rest were used. A lot of items totes, thermal printer and other supplies can be got used to save money.

Is an eBay basic store worth it. The 0.9% final value fee discount for video games isn’t much for the monthly cost of the store.
I'm jealous of this series, if I had a car I'd do this but without one it's hard to make funds. I can't ship or retrieve finds reliably 😢

why relist most people say end and do sell similar
Yes, I only relist if I noticed a mistake. Maybe some people don't want to lose watchers but if you've had an item for sale for a while, end and sell similar is better as it will put your listing higher in the search.

Great series! If you have a specialty category you can make bank. I started specifically doing computers last may and my first month I did 7k on eBay sales at roughly 45-55% profit.
What size light box did y’all buy? And what’s a good size for most items like a duffel bag and smaller?
bought an intellivision for 30 and then wants to list it at 600. Does greed really have to go this far? Do you not think 300 is enough profit? Do you not think you could give more cash to the seller instead of only thinking about yourself (or in this case... chase..)
Yeah - that's smart. They should have paid 300 then got home and found out it was broken possibly. If i find an item for a dollar and can sell for 200 why would i sell for 100 to some random on the internet? Is that greed or being smart? I found a grey copy of n64 turok rage wars for 5 dollars on accident in a blind bag of ten games I offered 5 each for without seeing them. Sold for 550 months later. I felt great about it- the person that bought it knew what i got it for and was still thrilled to add a super clean copy to his collection.
You clearly can't read. Or your very dumb. To answer your question, because your terrible, greedy and or possibly poor. All you resellers are terrible for the collecting community and add nothing to it. You lack skill to have a profession that pays much more than reselling and you love to brag about what you buy for and sell at. Not the best of traits for people. Instead of considering the idea of helping others like many people do that resellers buy from, you resellers constantly put yourself first. It's so hard for you and most of you to take 60 percent of a sold items price and care the game community and have compassion and fun in the community. How can sensible and caring people like yall?
I've bought from fellow collectors before and they often give you good prices because they enjoy and like to help those enjoy the hobby together. You guys give us collectors none of this. You only make it harder and make prices stupid
