Fans need to accept that we are a short way down long road. Eddie is the best we've had in years, and we need to stand by him as he builds his own squad without leftovers from the old era. Then judge him.
Sensible comment for a change in our fan base, too many pessimists, we will get better for sure but we are doing well

The teams in the Euro cups will be clattered with games over the winter, we need to capitalise on that……what an opportunity to push on this season, hope we don’t fukup!
Is it sustainable? haha... no. At this pace, we'd end the season with 95 points. But it's great while it lasts.
I know it’s only early in the season and we haven’t played our best but at least we are still unbeaten so far and in 3rd as well

It's 4 games I to the season, plenty teams have slow starts, it's a bit early to be moaning about that tbh, if it's 20 games in and we are the same I'd agree but it's not and it's a bit of a joke to be complaining.
Don't get me wrong during the game I'm screaming at the team lol but on reflection at the end we have to be humble

If you look again you'd see I said if we are still the same half way through the season I'd agree.
It's easy to complain but we are top 4 and our form is getting better little by little, isn't it time to be great full for that and hope to see better play instead of complaining.

It's called winning.
If we can get our game flowing and continue with the results then this season could be spectacular. One thing iv noticed with Newcastle is when our attack is over the opposition immediately get at us to create chances of their own, we don’t look good in transitions and its something we desperately need to improve. We need to sustain our attacks otherwise its back and forth with no control.
Great to hear some optimism instead of all of this negativity. People say we haven’t beaten any of the top sides, but we beat Spurs who finished above us and were widely tipped to be top six this season ; got a point at Bournemouth which we didn’t last season and got two more at Wolves than we did last season, so on a like for like basis we are three points up. If you then say we got three points against newly promoted Southampton and lost at home to Forest last season, we are SIX points up on last season. We are third in the table when we haven’t really hit our stride. There’s every reason to be cheerful (as long as we can get Mitchell back in his box and keep him there while Eddie gets on with his job !!!) HWTL

Barnes and Willock had good combination, they have to start against Fulham...Gordon on the right with Trippier at RB....and of course Tonali to start. .it looks clear cut to me and that team beats Fulham and starts against City.

Last week I said to friends he is like Eddie Jones, he brings on finishers, fresh legs and speed against teams that don't have the same awesome talent on the bench. Think someone on talk sport said the same this weekend. Eddie Howe is the MAN, results count and he is getting results. He is also the Gaffer and a Good Gaffer will never let anyone and I mean anyone disrespect his men.
Hey Matty, just an idea. Why not try Tino on the right wing ahead of Murphy? He has all of the attributes to succeed as a winger. Keep Barnes as an impact sub. Put Tripps back into the Starting XI at RB, and Mitchell looks for a new backup RB to Tripps in January or Ashby comes back from loan. Totally agree that Tonali should definitely be starting ahead of Longstaff though.
I wouldn't say the subs bailed us out. Subs are there to make an impact, and to have Tonali, Willock an Barnes as options to come on shows we have a good squad now.
Not to detract from what is indeed a great start, we normaily get horrendous fixtures in the first few games. Last year for example.
We've bagged 10 points out of a possible 12. If someone Mystic had told us that back in July we would have bit their hand off and said "Yes Please!"
We can’t just run over teams all the time. The reason we adopted that style or why I believe we did was to compensate for technical deficiencies. Then we saw the dark arts because we couldn’t sustain the pressure. The return of Tonali will help us to control games better. We need more technical gifted players to consistently threaten the elite teams.
Many Toon fans are pretty scathing at the moment. The amount of disrespect Eddie Howe is on the end of imo is rather shameful.
The latest rant is Tonali - who played two full games last week for Italy - didn't start.

Wolves was the best match of the year for Newcastle imo... All the previous games we started well but only lasted about 10-15 minutes max. Sunday Newcastle were dominant for about 20 minutes or so. Gordon looked as good as he has all year. IMO whats lacking is the midfield... Joelinton has been bad, Bruno has gone invisible for stretches and Longstaff is not a Prem league starter... EVERY time Tonali is in the game we score goals... That's a fact... I would love to see a combo of Bruno, Willock and Tonali starting Saturday... Barnes also needs to start. IMO Tonali and Barnes will open up the pitch for Isak... Every time Isak is receiving the ball hes either far on one of the wings or with 3 defenders on top of him in the middle... That's because Murphy and Longstaff are far from good enough... The goal we gave up to Wolves was a direct result of the defender in front of Longstaff understanding Longstaff WON'T be able to get around him and will instead pass the ball... It was clear as day the guy who took the ball from Longstaff knew where he was going with the ball before Longstaff knew... We need our best 11 starting. We need to score first and that will unlock the game for us to score 2 or 3 more... We know this team can put the ball in the back of the net but we can't keep falling behind early... Therefore the best 11 should start... Bring in guys like Longstaff to play the final 15-20 minutes and close out wins...

Our main traget should be to get maximum from those in and around the bottom half of the table and try not to loose against the top teams... P.S I don't consider Spurs, Man Utd and Chelsea as any sort of threat or say Big teams.. Big Teams are only 3 Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool and none of them are impossible to beat... Villa have got UCL so they're going yo rotate for sure.. Keep key players fit and we'll be absolutely fine

Simple sulution, replace Mitchal to sustain momentum and positivity than drag the club down and the media haven a field day they thrive. It's like signing a new player to a team who's a narcissistic gob shite and realising it was a bad signing, solution is you drop him till you can sell them on so the players aren't affected. Eg, Gayle to Southampton with riff with players, and Howe 😉😉 protect your assests and those who want to be part of the family of Newcastle and not just herw for themselves or money that Newcastle use to be known for over the decades.

First of all that rusty abomination has nothing to do with our region's rich industrial heritage. It was designed by a rich Southern artist and built by Smoggies. I call it the Gateshead Flasher as it should have had a dick welded on it! A more fitting sculpture should have been designed and built by people from the North East and featured colliers and shipyard workers - rant over! There was a very interesting comment from one of the pundits on MOTD2 that the change in our style of play comes from our performance and fitness director to ensure that we don't suffer yet another crippling injury crisis.. It will take time for the players to get used to it so we need to be patient. Also we are second to Liverpool in terms of most points scored by substitutes. So I think that Wor Eddie played a blinder putting the "Thrilling Threesome" on at half time. You could hear the groans of woe come from the Wolves fans. Also maybe being seen to be "playing badly" could be a psychological tactic to lull the opposition into a false sense of security - which leads into the old saying "Winning Ugly" It worked on Sunday as Wolves were knackered in late second half while we had fresh legs. So rejoice in our best start since the days of the Great Sir Bobby and if you want to understand tactical warfare - which football essentially is - read The Art Of War by the ancient Chinese General Sun Tzu!

Last season we lost away to Bournemouth; only got a draw at Wolves and lost at SJP to newly promoted Forest. If we only do as well in our other matches as we did last season we will be six points better off than last year, so CHEER UP !!!

My point is had we played Arsenal, Liverpool. City and villa and come away with 10 points it's for more impressive and telling of where we are.
