What’s so tragically ironic about this idea of wanting to have it fully public is that the same people have been saying over and over it’s all about the rules. Well the PL rules state that these things are done behind closed doors so abide by your rules

@@Mikejames1080 You're spot on. If you look at some of the charges based on the timeline and their respective PL handbooks, we're getting FFP charges when FFP was not even a rule. But more specifically, as per the charge on manager remuneration, the PL handbook at the time of Mancini's appointment, it was just a basic contract, which we provided. The PL is using a more current handbook in which they require much more detailed accounting of the manager's remuneration. So in effect, we are being charged for doing something wrong by today's standards that were perfectly fine and by the rules at the time. So I am not sure how those particular charges will play out.
It seems rather authoritarian to charge City for breaches of rules that had not been written when the alleged breaches occurred. But then again, I suppose that from an optics perspective, it might make sense to throw everything possible at the wall and see what sticks?

Let’s just say hypothetically that when Jim was an alcoholic,he had driven his car home one night after drinking and was stopped by the police for drink driving,
I wonder if Jim wouldn’t of minded anyone just turning up at court to oversee the outcome of his trial whilst the also demanding that the whole nation be notified of what both his legal defence team and the prosecutions have discussed on a day to day basis during the whole trial just so everyone can have idle gossip about him and just so everyone can have transparency..

@@sheenyheed yes I know but this isn’t a court is it which is why I’m hypothetically speaking for Jim also having the hearing behind closed doors but then a radio presenter demanding his trial to be disclosed daily to the media and completely disregarding the purpose of the trial being held this way..
I think there has been far too much defamation of character already on social media without the increased level it would entail if the case was reported daily..
Already a siege mentality as it is and yet everyone is innocent until proven guilty not to mention the fact the whole basis of the charges is based on hacked emails but evidently this is irrelevant which is precisely why the hearing is behind closed doors..
No one has even mentioned what would unfold should Man city be exonerated..
I’d hazard a guess they will go after everyone who’s guilty of libel or slander using third party public speech relating to an innocent victim so the counter litigation for damages alone would likely be in 7 figures whilst reclaiming the legal fees from the premier leagues funds alone would most likely end the premier league as an organisation financially..
No wonder the premier league is steadfast in introducing an independent football regulator !!!
