Depending on how skilled you are you can count a total of 10 hours in general. Have everything ready at hand because if not you will have to leave the car unfinished to order missing parts first. Guessing that I am 10 months late now you probably already know that and I am leaving this comment for others to see :)

Question: you didn't remove the subframe. Every other video I've seems about this lowers the subframe. Please explain your procedure.

Hey brother i just so happen to be looking for an easier way to complete this job and i read your message. The reason he didnt loosen or drop the frame is because he loosened the engine mounts and raised the engine instead. Either way its huge fuckin headache.lol

@@lanierladen4168 I now have to do this after pulling driver head, timing guide was messed up so now front cover has to come off.

Why the Fuck would BMW have a bracket seal there? My 550 will be leaking forever. To much work

@@vallenatos26 bro it's really not even hard. It may look like it at first but once you get your hands dirty with it you'll see how easy it is. Put car on jack stands, take motor mount bolts off, use a piece of wood on jack and jack up oil pan, remove motor mount and bracket. Easy man

Great video! Your title should be "?Reason 236 why you should never own a BMW"

Every vehicle needs service and every vehicle has its own set of issues. if this is a problem for you then consider a vehicle you don't have to own. Like a bus :)

@@_J.P._ I'll stick to Toyota or Honda ... or Hyundai ... or Chevrolet ... or Chrysler ... or Kia ... or any car that doesn't have leaky alternator brackets.
