I think my series of the decade has to be Percy Jackson because I wasn’t the biggest reader until I picked up the lightning thief in 2011 and ever since I have always been reading a book, it changed my perspective on reading completely!

it's similar for me, I did read before starting Riordan's books, but it was after Mark of Athena that I got into a blog and started reading and writing fanfiction which is a huge part of my life right now, so it's gotta be that what had the biggest impact on my life this decade

I just realized that I started following you around 2012 (you were my first book tuber 😭), and because of your videos I had found my community of crazy book lovers. You and the rest of the gang (Kat, Jesse, Regan, Natasha, etc) are what helped me realize what I wanted to study in college, which I had just started in 2011. You made this decade for me, and I'm so glad that we all got to experience such big, emotional books that brought us even closer as a community 😍💜🙌🏼😭 I was on a pretty big book slump for the past couple of years but its slowly starting to come back to me. I'm coming back to the community I love 😊 #newdecadeofreading #endthebookslump2020

I listened to 'Again, But Better' during my GCSE Fine Art exam. It was the best thing ever because the art room is in the attic of my school where you can see the entire London skyline as its not far from Central - the vibes were on point. So GOOOOOD.

Queen of Shadows was the first book I read in the ToG series as it was releasing. I got into the series at the end of 2014 right after Heir of Fire and it the signing for QoS was my first signing ever and Queen of Shadows without a doubt remains my favorite ToG book (right new to Tower of Dawn). It was just such a peak for characters, plot, story, writing and everything and I always wish I could read those last 120 pages again for the first time. Dorian and Aelin, Manon and Elide, Chaol and the king, the glass castle, Rowan and Lorcan and the hellfire and Lysandra in her ghost leopard form. It was all a bundle of pure amazingness.

Throne of Glass would be my series of the decade. I found the TOG series around grade 8 (eight years ago) and it seriously changed my life. I was going through some hard times and it was just the escape I needed. Her characters are so strong (in Court of Thorns as well) and I just kind of looked up to them. Whenever I have a bad day, I just pick up one of her books, read my favourite sections and automatically felt better. After I read Kingdom of Ash I was in the biggest book slump.

Rick riordan sparked my love of reading, by 5th grade i was reading at a 5th grade level. For that reason percy jackson is my book/series of the decade. Thanks Rick!

My series of the decade is the Mercy Thompson series by Patrica Briggs! My mom got me to read this series and before that I usually never read unless it was for school but when I stepped into her world I was awakened to the awesome power books can have over us. It also allowed me to get closer to my mom and share a new thing with her: the love of books!

Girl- thank you so much! I literally relate to you on so many levels, especially your love for Sarah J. Maas. If I ever met her, I would most probably cry and go into a 3 hour speech of how much her books make me feel. The Queen of Shadows is a beautiful work of art and trust me when I tell you that I had to watch all your book vlogs because they made me so much more connected to the world and especially listening to another person who feels the same way about your favorite books. So, thank you. Happy New Year and please let me know of any books that make you want to scream, shout, cry, laugh, and smile, those are always ones worth reading. My little recommendation from this year has to be, ughh so many hard choices, I think it's Bring Me Their Hearts by Sarah Wolf, also the most surprising had to be Winterspell by Claire Legrand. I hope you read them and let me know how you like them.
    All the best,
    Alexia

The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater has to be my favorite book of the decade (along with the rest of the series) because it was insanely influential on me as a person going through high school. I could see myself in all of the characters and I even picked my major in college based on my love of this book (history and english lol). Whenever I feel lonely or confused about life or nervous about the future I can always go back to that series and find comfort :')

I’ll Give You The Sun is my fav stand alone BY FAR. I related to it so much and it destroyed me and built me back up again and it was wonderful. I’m also synesthetic so every book reading experience is colorful but every single fucking sentence in the book was exploding with color for me and I’ve read it seven times it’s perfect. Heir of Fire is fav series book tho.

I'm sick to my senses (and have been since Sunday last week😑) but I started reading Again, but Better yesterday after having a really bad, solid hour, cry over how bad and alone I felt. But then I started reading your book and I was so ditracted by it, and so amazed by how much I related to to Shane's feelings, and on such a personal level that I almost completely forgot about my sroundings. You somehow managed to write a fun and light story that aslo tackles such hard and personal issues that I can barely see in other young and new adult books. I think your little introduction at the beginning was so spot on (and I haven't even finished the book). The more I delve into Shane's personal world, the more I see how it reflects not only you, but the whole mass of people dealing with these kinds of self doubts.
I don't really know how to finish this comment (or how it got so long), but what I do know is how much I love your videos. Especially the "top books of 20__" ones. Great picks btw, QoS is also a favorite of mine.♡♡

While Again, But Better as a whole wasn’t really for me I still loved my time with it and how much it reminded me of you (you are literally a light). I am absolutely convinced that your abilities as a writer are just going to get better and better because you’re a natural story teller! I literally read Again, But Better in one sitting (which I haven’t done with any book in a while). Forever supporting you love. 🥰 This is the only comment I could make here because I haven’t read any of the other books on your favorites list 😂😂😂. I remember a time when I started watching BookTube and was like this Christine chick talks so fast and she’s too animated and now I live for your videos and I go back and watch older videos on occasion because your UA-cam/ BookTube content is SO FRIKIN GOOD. I’ve binge read the Throne of glass series this year. And yeah it’s up there in my favourite book series. Probably like second or third place.
My favorite must be chaos walking but that was in earls 10s when I read it.

Book of the decade is Pjo, because of those I started really reading! So I would be nothing like I am today if it wasn’t for Percy Jackson! I also adored Anne of green gables cause I saw myself on Anne in so many ways so I think that must go as second best book of the decade!

My book of the decade is one hundred percent the dark artifices. Specifically queen of air and darkness just because it was so long anticipated and it fucking delivered. It had me enthralled from start to finish and left it open for more Cassandra clare. My stand alone book of the decade has to be we were liars by e.lockhart because damn that book was so good and it made me laugh and cry and think and go crazy with the twist. It was just so incredibly written. But the shadowhunter series have really shaped this decade for me because they have completely change how I read. Thank you cassandra clare for giving that to us. I also have again but better on my reading list for this year and hoping to get round to it at some point. X

My book of 2019( it’s way to hard to pick a decade) is I Was Anastasia by Ariel Lawhon. It was beautifully crafted, and absolutely fascinating. The ending left me with a completely different understanding of the entire story. This book got me into the historical fiction genre, and I totally recommend it to anyone who has ever been interested in the Grand Duchess Anastasia.

I think my book of the decade would be A Court Of Mist And Fury by our queen Sarah J Maas.
Probs for the reason of how much I related to Feyre and how much I loved her story of recovery that showed that no matter how bad your life may be, it will always get better.
I’m still in a dark place, but ever since I discovered SJM and read ACOMAF, my life has become a lot better and I’m convinced I’ll eventually get my dream life to become a reality😁

My top 4 books of the year are
    4. Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas
    3.Passenger by Alexandra Bracken
    2. Twice in a Blue Moon by Christina Lauren
    1. Queen of Shadows by Sarah J Maas
My series book of the decade is so hard to pick but I think I might have to go with To All The Boys I Loved Before. I absolutely fell in love with the Throne of Glass books this year, but TATBILB I read kind of in the middle of the decade and it was the first series I fell in love with after going through a two year reading slump. My stand alone book of the decade would either be Amy & Rogers Epic Detour or Perks of Being a Wallflower. Both of them I read towards the beginning of the decade and they have a lot of meaning to me.

Unhoneymooners is going to be my next read! I relate, in the first half of this decade I read almost exclusively series (The Hunger Games, Percy Jackson, Maximum Ride, The Mortal Instruments...) and recently it's been a lot of contemporary novels.
