The trunk can fit 2 people? hmmm😏😈
I have the same exact car! About 5k miles. It is ridiculous the number of people that change the ac temp thinking it was the volume knob... cracks me up!
How has it held up
Seyi Oluwasanmi sold it last year because I moved out of state. Had it for 2 years, 19k miles. Never any problem, no noises. Great car for the money. Got 16k for it at carmax, so held the value really well. I do recommend.
Fesa Sa do u live in an area with snow and if so how was it
The EX-T is easily the best value for the 10th generation as well. The price difference between the EX and EX-T at my local dealership in California was only $800. A 1.5 L Turbo, fog lights, heated seats, dual-zone climate control, and a decklid spoiler is an ABSOLUTE STEAL for only $800. Love my Cosmic Blue Metallic EX-T sedan :D
yeah and a 450 watt sound system. Definitely worth the price. I just bought mine. And the 1.5T and 450 sound system are my favorite parts of the car.
@@Teremei it doesn’t have the 450-W system btw that was only on the EX-L, Sport, Touring, and higher trims
The new Civic's are too big
Zachary Cromlish ikr...they're now just a cheaper accord
Zachary Cromlish they're only an inch or two wider and longer than my '08. And the wheelbase is identical.
The new accord? Oh it's a civic now
Accord is the new Land Whale.
Abstract Name the new accords represent the honda legend
It's hard to best the civic for just an all around practical and affordable car
If you want to go fast, put it in sport mode and turn off traction control and econ mode. big difference.
Why no traction control?
@@philopasaurus traction control slows the car down when it looses traction even if it will just be a slight slide or slip of the wheels. Always turn off tc at the track.
I have the 4 door version and love it with lane keep assist and radar cruise control. I drive 37 miles one way to work and get 39-42 mpg
ted101975 that's amazing. Very nice car to have as a daily. Not a car I'd get since I'm young and I want a beast, but I respect it for what it was built for
ted101975 a civic from 92 got 55mpg
and this is 3x as fast as a POS 92 Civic. Oh and you'll actually survive a crash in this one.
A Civic is the best car in its class. For people saying "its too big," or "its ugly" have never driven it, or can't afford it.
David Payne it's 19k. chill.
Heyu Yoma 45k now saving up for type r
Jiren The Gray
What a financial crisis
Drive them since the late 80s/ early 90s and YES, the new Civic is bloated, about the size of a freaking Accord from 10 years ago. Nothing against the brand but this car is no longer a compact sporty coupe or hatch.
Mazda3
😂 I own this car but in green. My advice get the 2017 with the Manual transmission turbocharged engine EX
Basil Akasheh might as well get an si ... lol
Guillermo Albarran may as well have more money that some people don't have for the SI
Zman_ Autos if you're going to buy a new car especially a civic , you can afford the si, down payments and monthly payments are almost identical. How do I know? I'm a salesman at Honda and BMW
Guillermo Albarran whats the lowest price i can get a 2017 polit exl???
Mitul Jariwala if you have great credit and have good negotiating skills and you get everything the pilot offers you can probably get it for around 39k but everything depends on where you're buying the car from
I gotta give Honda credit, unlike Toyota and there annoying ass commercials, they are putting out some pretty attractive cars.
Quinton Wideman have you seen the 18 Camry?!
It looks like a Lexus, that's really all I got to say about it.
+Quinton Wideman interesting, considering lexus and toyota are one in the same
@Material Female I know, and that's why they aren't my cup of tea, I hate to say it but both manufacturers' cars are kinda ugly, and their competitors (Mercedes, BMW, Infiniti and etc) run rings around there cars, especially in performance.
Attractive cars, yes. Honda also has annoying commercials, though.
11:41 The look of disappointment
Mr Mustang GT over here doesn't get enough torque from a 1.5T
De Tour shocking that he was lost for words ..ha ha ha
whats better
I mean when you test drive CTS-Vs and Zo6s all day a 1.5l w/CVT is child's play
Alumnikiid you need big money
I like the looks. Definitely looks worth the money for low 20k.
First Civic I've seen with some character.
Im old school, but can honestly say back in the early '90s the common thing you would hear about Honda was that the crx's back looked awful. then people started tuning them and all of a sudden it became a head turner, now everyone wanted one or admired it. Im already digging the fact that Honda's making people say the same thing 25 years later. once a tuned Si leaves you in the dust you will admire the back end of the car..lol
side profile looks real close to the Accord coupe from like 2012
Decent review but I don't think it's Wednesday material
This Honda Civic looks nice and clean on the inside, just the details look quality.
Unique Mechanics I've never been a huge Honda fan but I've always praised their interiors..They always look very well though out
You get a lot for the money
The interior is gimmicky, and the exterior is bulky and too angular.
On top of that, "regular" Civics can now hit $30k and that is ridiculous.
Furkan Turfanda for the price your can't beat the interior
Fadic 4 Volkswagen Golf
Fadic 4 Yes you can lol, the Golf and Mazda 3
personal preferences obviously, most people can see its a huge improvement over the last generation. It has lots of unique things to offer the segment. LCD gauges might seem "gimmicky", but they're also very nice to look at.
The gauges really are great, no arguing there
26MGP AVERAGE! He must romp it around everywhere he goes, I do most of the time and i still get 32mpg average.
One Man Army I have this exact car he is testing and I always have the econ mode activated since I don't ever need to drive fast anywhere and I average 35 to 36 mpgs
"You don't hear any turbo sounds" Well.....because its an economy car. XD
Evo x and sti stock you don't hear it either bc bov recirculates.
5 years later a $20,000 car is going for $25,000 now for the same car.
I currently am leasing a 2016 Chrysler 300S V6. great car but not practical for here in the Seattle area. planning on buying this exact car or a new Subaru Impreza. this new Civic gets so many great reviews. good job Honda!
Review the sport hatch
Bryan Galeano why would he review something identical... it's not that different other than space
Quick Sipper the hatch is tuned differently and is built in England instead of Canada.
its the same damn thing kid.
Quick Sipper he does it all the time
Honda is smart to not include leather. alot of ethical people out there.
This is the exact car that Im looking at right now.
I don't agree with the fact that you can't hear the turbo in the civic. I own a civic sedan with the turbo motor and I usually hear a small whistle when I slowly accelerate. But you really hear it when you roll down the windows. Idk if it's different in the coupe, but you can definitely hear it in the sedan.
I’ve noticed that! I hear it in mine. The dealership said it was nothing to worry about it but it bothers me
Test drove one of these myself at a local auto show. I thought it was pretty nice for what it was. The turbo had a lot of lag though. You really had to get up in the RPM's to feel it.
Connecting your phone to the car using the usb port by the push to start button, Android Auto puts navigation on the screen so you dont need the navigation upgrade for the ex-t models.
not half bad at all, i like it.
anyone else notice the owner is a member of the E-4 mafia? look around 7:30
Please work on a new intro to your reviews, we all know what car it is because of the title so you don't have to say "This is of course the (insert car name here)" as well as hearing you trying to say SubaruWRXFan really quick before hand is getting annoying. Love your reviews except that part.
Can you please do a Kia Forte Koup Sx 2015 review? I'm very interested in one and if you could do a review, it would really help.
Raul Omar I wanted to see a review to but with the manual transmission
Raul Omar they're fun cars to drive. If you can find one with a tech package you get heated and cooled seats, nav, back up cam (comes with out tech package as well), heated steering wheel, sunroof. It's fast. Like not blow the doors off a mustang fast, but it's a very quick car. The automatic with paddles is fun and the stick is even more fun. It's downfall is it doesn't really "stick" in the corners and the steering feel can be kinda vague even with sport setting on the steering wheel. I heard this can be remedied with a set of coil overs and better grippier tires.
Simba TheGreat Thanks for the advice, I bought one last week with the manual and it's so fun to drive and you're so right about the car going in corners. I'm about to buy a new set of tires since it's a used car and maybe a exhaust.
Thankfully you can ditch the CVT (w/no manual shifting mode) for an actual manual with horrible Honda rev hang...........nnnnnnexxxxxxt.
Would love for you to review a Infiniti G37 coupe.
I like them, but to friggin big.
Kody Pagel its almost an illusion. I have this car and its seems bigger than it really is. Its big where you need it to count like having a fairly spacious back seats for a coupe and fairly big big trunk but its very easy to maneuver and handles very well and easy to park. Its a great daily commuter car I average 35 to 36 mpgs if you keep the econ mode activated which is also a huge plus
I really want to see you drive the new Elantra Sport. I really like the new Civic Coupe, but to me the Elantra Sports interior looks way better.
Review a 1.5t manual Matt
I love my 2017 EXT 6-speed!!
... did he just say i could fit 2 people on the trunk?😂
LMAO! that acceleration reaction was funny, waiting waiting...waiting did it work?
I ended up buying an energy green pearl 2018 coupe ex-t. Thanks Matt for your informative videos. You along with many others helped me decide on my next new car!
Jim Lahey, is that you?
COOL Review: 2016 Honda Civic EX-T Coupe
Finally Matt, I have been waiting for this one. Thank you and please be sure to review other civics like type r and si when they arrive.
can you do a video with the hatchback?
Redline Reviews is a better review page! More in depth and just more professional.
did u say it’s a nice size trunk that can fit two people
I plan on getting an Si when they come out, and i am in the Greensburg area if you would like to test it.
Hey Brent, thanks for offering it! I'd love to! If you can send me a message on Facebook or an email to subaruwrxfanproductions@gmail.com whenever it's ready to go (broken in) we can set something up! Thanks man!
Sounds good, who knows when it will be out now, rumors have it that it might be till summer. But i would like an Si but if i cant wait that long i will get a 6 speed sedan, and you can also test that.
wait for the type R -- it comes out a few weeks in between.
David Payne won't be able to afford it, and would be a lot harder to get anyway
David Payne pp
In 10 years it'll have the biggest fart can money can buy.
Ugly as F. Interior looks nice tho
wish it was a liftback like the scion tc
Mike Rotchburns I own the 2018 version of this and I agree that would have awesome . the trunk is decent though with a passthrough to the back seats so not too bad
This will be great for a teen
Is the owner of the car in the National Guard/Army? Spotted an ACU patrol cap in the backseat. If so, thanks for your service and nice choice of a vehicle.
front is fine. backend is hideous. looks like a hamster about to burst.
Kaiwen F the back looks like its going 1000mph
its a weird thing..looks better in person, and when the coupe is moving
I find it weird and kind of funny that car manufacturers have different solutions for emergency brakes. On my 16 Chevrolet Cruze it has a foot emergency brake. That was foreign for me
Need a beater coupe. Debates between this our FRs/BRZ. Will also drive in winter so prob this...
Wished civic came with the 9 speed auto. Sacked in the pilot but maybe it would have been improved in this
some people like circles, some people prefer the shape of a square, others favor the look of a triangle. If you hate the shape some people will love it. And neither of you are correct or wrong
id better buy MUSTANG V6 FASTBACK than this. same price range thou
Get rid of the bigass chrome piece across the grille, redo the entire rear, and you would maybe be the 2nd best looking car in the segment. And drop these awful CVTs, fake shifting literally gives me aids.
"No leather wrapped wheel"?
Truly, the most irrelevant complaint you can make about a car.
I just got the same exact car, but it’s a 2018, and it does have a leather-wrapped steering wheel. That was a pleasant surprise.
Thank God I got my Accord when I did. The exterior of this new Civic looks horrific. It's very clear to me that the new Civic is now the old Accord. It seems that every generation the car just gets bigger and bigger.
Initially I was planning on getting a Civic, however, I'm a big guy and I just found myself cramped when I test drove the prior generation Civic and thus went for the Accord.
I like how CVT's mimic a slipping transmission. Disgusting.
The cloth is actually easy to clean. Wipe with a micro cloth and color comes right back.
when is the ridgeline rtl e press car review?
Next week!
subaruwrxfan Do you think you can also review Nick Murray's Porsche 911 along with that? I'll be glad to see it. 🙂
hows the mustang running ?!?
Hoping to review Nick's Porsche at some point this year as well.
why did they have to do a CVT... if it wasn't for that I would have bought one.
Every car should have a manual hand-break, it saved my butt this winter when I started sliding strait on into a snow bank. Oh and it's lots of fun to.
my brother just picked up one of these, 4 door version and black.
My first car was a manual '06 Civic Taffeta White EX coupe back when I was 16 but yeah, Civics have always been touchy at low RPMs.
It only has a 279 mile range with a full tank? That's abysmal.
That Tach is awesome! Don't like electronic emergency brake.
DO A REVIEW OVER THE 2017 CAMARO SS 1LE!
so it's got the shitty interior but still has the cvt, the owner has austism
Hm I didn't think you would review this car same way you review performance cars 😂
All the 17 year olds in here boasting about leds and turbos yo
Chris Kattan? You guys wanna buy some cookies??
The front looks good but the back looks terrible.
Pavlo95 I agree
i like the tailights but the body shape in the back ruins it
It looks really weird without the wing spoiler.
Pavlo95 trust me the back and front of the car will grow on you..
The only reason why im even considering this over the hatchback is the taillights. Stretch taillights is actually a huge safety feature.
This guy reminds me of Lexington from Gargoyles. Life imitates art. Art imitates life.
Honda makes great dc transmissions wy honda didn't u put it in this honda🤔🤔🤔
maybe put the front in the back and then put the back in the front???
I have a 2016 EX-T sedan and it's a great car especially for someone like me who commutes 52 miles one way. It's efficient and deceptively quick for its specs; however, the infotainment system in it is one of the worst things on the market. It's usually non-responsive, the touch power "button" for the audio literally doesn't work in mine, and every time you start this car there's always this annoying warning message that takes over the touch screen that you always have to confirm on before you can operate things like the climate controls, radio, or other options. That's the one complaint I have about this car. The mechanics/engineering 8/10. The infotainment system 1/10.
My sister has the EX Sedan without the turbo and I must say it's a fairly fun car to drive. Comfy and quiet and it looks great at night. Yeah the back rear quarter is gross but you can forgive it after a while. Only complaint is the CVT, it's a good transmission but I just prefer my gears.
So if the steering is heavy then I don't wanna buy it
hihi yeahh it looks soo nice
Hysterical Ornary Narcissist Driver's Automobile.
looks nice, not a fan of digital gauges though. it loses some craftsmanship
Honda needs to stop making ugly rims.
Had a 13 Si on lease and got a 17 Hatch manual when that lease ended. No regrets.
What is your tint percentage? Im looking to tint my 2018 civic coupe ex-t.
HONda, so much suck
so little time
One of the main reasons I didn't get the new civic was because it didn't offer a manual transmission on the higher trims- especially with the 1.5t. I got a 2016 Mazda3 Grand Touring (2.5 liter) and love it, but I'm glad to hear that Honda is finally offering a manual again with the turbo!
no "V-tec kicked in yo" jokes..strange
Love the silver color would be easy to keep clean.
Why buy one of these for 20k when you can buy a used audi with less than 20k miles, better features, leather, etc
Can you please review a Civic Hatchback Sport? I feel like that is the best all-around Civic to get.
I keep my lanewatch on all the time, I found it distracting look at right side mirror on highways and in San Francisco
Anyway you could review the 2017 Honda Civic EX-T manual sedan?
1:31 wait wat you said the Honda Civic exl even though in the title it says ext
