Nice video, clear instructions. What polish would you recommend I use with this buffer. The paint on my Nissan Maxima is in pretty good nick, but the feel has turned a bit granular.
I'm afraid I'm not the guy to give advice on polishes, so I'll have to refrain from any info here, other than to say plenty of people have suggested the old turtle wax/polish is still a good thing. Just not my area of expertise I'm afraid and I don't want to give you a bum steer
I love my Ozito 18v gear, except this buffer! I found it completely gutless, and it barely spun even under its own weight. It's the only Ozito product I've been unhappy with. I went back to using hand buffing and got the refund from Bunnings. Loving the reviews mate!
Cheers mate. Yeah she's only a light weight unit. For doing the boat and giving it a good clean I used a 240v one. I find if you don't apply much pressure and just let it do its thing it works fine. It's not in my top 5 of the 18v ozito stuff though.
Great video. The Foamee is a great design due to its wide opening fill hole AND the wide base that doesn't tip over. There's nothing more frustrating than having your cheap chinese one tip over all the time. Now that you have the polisher organised, i can REALLY REALLY recommend Turtle Wax Seal and Shine spray on sealant. It's about $26, excellent beading, very long lasting and much easier to wash. Cheers.
Hey IB, I'm glad I didn't go the cheapy route, the bottle design was actually one of the things that came up all the time when I was reviewing which one to buy. I'll suss it that turtle wax when we can wash our cars again. Always in the look out for products people recommend. Cheers Brett
Hi mate, thanks for the Ozito polisher review. One thing I can recommend is the best way to polish a vehicle (assuming the paint is a good condition) is by hand with a cloth manually. Yes it may take a bit longer in the polish time but you will see the rewards in the long run. I must admit it takes about 10 years of practice in technique and product choice to understand the game but, its something that cant be replicated with a tool. No matter what type of powered tool. Cheers, Marty.
Hey Marty, I do like doing a hand wax / polish myself and quite enjoy it. A bit like mowing the lawn. As I get Ile though, I tend to appreciate a few cut corners though 😁
I know Tim, can you ever forgive me. I'm 45 and have managed to avoid one thus far. It would appear I have faltered. I tell ya though, I quite like driving it :)
Late to the show but got yourseld a new subscriber mate! Any follow on thoughts on this buffer mate?
