2. “Are you not planning to get married?”
3. “Can’t you see all your mates are getting married?”

The parents don’t even know the half of it-on the outside, she may still look good, but on the inside? There’s nothing left. She’s used up emotionally, mentally, and spiritually from all the meaningless relationships. Now, with the pressure from family building up, she starts reflecting on her own situation. She sees her friends getting married and suddenly, the same girl who was all about “fun” starts thinking:
1. “Does this mean I’m old enough to marry?”
2. “Hmmm, how should I go about it?”
3. “This guy I’m with isn’t even serious.”
And then, here comes the switch-up. Now, it’s no longer about fun-it’s about God’s timing. “God knows the best,” she says. Really? Now you’re blaming God for the situation YOU created? Suddenly, it’s “God’s time is the best” after wasting her own prime years. Now, she’s desperate, looking for serious men to marry, not boys to have fun with. She’s searching for a commitment that she used to run away from.
But here’s the problem: Men who wanted to marry in her 20s are no longer looking her way. By the time she hits 27-30, marriage proposals are few and far between. The window for serious men is closing fast, and now she’s out here forcing herself on guys who don’t even want her. She’ll say things like, “Age doesn’t matter” just to justify being with men who have no intention of walking down the aisle with her.
Everything in life has its season. There’s not a single woman in her 30s right now looking for marriage who wasn’t approached by a man when she was younger. Not one. But back then? They were busy running from one party to the next, living it up in clubs, and hooking up with guys for “fun.” Now, the same fun they chased has turned into regret.
