Great job! Finally, this is the solution for the problem! 1. If you have Renault Laguna II 2006 (not only but mine is) 2. If your card key is not working i.e. gives you error "Card not detected" but the unlock/lock buttons are working on your card. 3. If you ruled out the battery as a possible problem 4. You could all do this by yourself without the shady mechanics who would ripped you off with at least 100-150 EUR for the very simple fix. Big thanks to LM Auto Repair!!!

I fixed the car reader , I had exactly the same problem you described here. But when I connect the card reader back to the card ... my renault was immediately blocked (the red light stop blinking in the panel) ... =/
Hi You need a machine capable 9f programming cards/keys... No, an used card cannot be reprogrammed... unless, you have the equipment to "reset" the card, and not all cards can be reset... Thank you for watching! 👍👍👍

So it stays for like few to 20mins of driving to go off.. any advice on that? Error 2: when am driving, the SERVlight comes on and when i put the scan i get error df106 catalytic converter fault; OBD fault detected whilst driving - Interminent. when i turn off the engine and turn it on, the SERV light goes off. any input will be much appreciated.
Christian U Nwaebe OK... that is a bit to answer accurately.. Lights on with doors closed, does that with any door, or just the drivers door? Car goes off while driving, if the only code is the one for the catalytic converter, then it might be that is not the cat, but perhaps a mixture problem.... Does the car runs ok otherwise?

OK, I have also Renault Laguna, and card is not being detected, I will try to unmount the reader and check it , thanks again keep in touch ...
Usually when the cars is not detected,is the antenna coil inside the card with broken solder joints...
But is also possible to be the reader...
I already check the card before and looks fine, I will check the reader then
