James is like the Mr. T of your A-Team. Boat Driver. Van Driver. Security cuz he is a big dude. Already watched L.L. video so can't wait to see your version.
Awesome series!! I’m watching every stop so far, and it has been really good. Real fishing and not just catching. A good day doesn’t always involve catching 50 fish on camera. It’s more about the new experiences even if you only catch 4 or 5 fish. GREAT JOB!! Keep on trucking!!
Very true but if you’re in a flat bottom boat and the wind is whippin’ on Big Stone it would be rough. Cochrane is nice because it’s small and protected. Plus, Big Stone is split between SD and MN so do you cross of two states at once?
Your videos are awesome guys. No BS like some other youtubers. I am working overseas and definitely miss bass fishing. Your videos help me get through that. love bass fishing in a john boat. Really miss fishing Lake Gaston. Caught my personal best on that lake. A 6lb Large Mouth. I hope you guys have fun on your 50 state fishing tour.
It is so unusual to watch this video two years removed from the events and knowing where you are and what your fishing with has changed a lot!!!! I almost forgot James and that was really funny to see him again. For your age your experiences are so amazing and knowing that you have worked so hard at maintaining you way of fishing. I'm old as dirt now, a pulmonary cripple, can't walk a block without stopping to breath, but I watch you and James fish from the jon boat that you worked so hard to get ready for the trip, and I feel pretty good again. It makes me want to fish tomorrow. Can you imagine that there are 154 thousand more who come here because you are doing something true and authentic. You have no idea how much watching you and James, and Ace, and Billy and it makes me want to be in my 20's and have your opportunities. It's my favorite thing to do, sit and watch SB fishing videos, how bizarre......
@@SBFishing Hey Matt, if I promise never to invade your privacy can I get a po box or something to send you and Ace something I got you both for Christmas. It's no big deal but I just wanted you both to know that your a real gift to me. I been having so many problems from my cancer treatment this year and lately I had to have emergency surgery on my mouth. Hurts like sin, but this too shall pass. Anyway I saw these two things and I was like Hell Yeah I'm getting them these. Any postal address will do, Po Box, Street, or business, whatever just a portal to send these along.
These videos are so exciting. I almost feel like I’m there with you guys seeing all of these bodies of water around the US. I watch a lot of fishing/outdoor channels and I would definitely pick you to spend the day fishing with.
I've lived in Utah my whole life and recently moved to Georgia with my wife. I just fished Lanier today & caught an absolute slaunch. I don't think I'll be moving back to Salt Lake City any time soon. Great video man!
Love it you fished in my home lake. Wish you would have finished More around middle of the lake where water is much clearer. They really been hitting on secondary points as of late. So glad you guys could visit Lake Lanier.
I’d like to see a kind of interview video with James towards the end of this tour talking about maybe how this trip has helped you both develop as anglers!
This 50 state fishing tour is certainly an awesome idea. I'm following completely along Matt. When you reach Pennsylvania, Nockamixon Lake in bucks county would be an awesome choice. It's pretty big, and has huge smallmouth. Keep up the great content Matt
Definitely following you on your 50 state tour, Congrats on the "Hawg" you slammed on your first day! My PB is 8lbs2oz. caught in a Farm pond in NorCal. Living in Ms. now and miss the west coast, anyway love the ids man...keep em' coming!
Cant wait for you guys to come to KY. I'm just finishing up my Jon to bass boat conversion. I would say the best lakes in KY to hit would be Cumberland. Its massive and deep, but it's also a popular watercraft lake, so you'll be dealing with big boats and Jet Skis. Green River lake is always fun. Lots of off shoot coves and things. Cedar Creek is really cool. Lots of standing timber. That's where I caught my PB. 21-23", i think around 5lbs, give or take. I have a KY lake map book, I can email you the pages. It has info on all the lakes, spots to fish, how to fish, depths, structure, etc. Awesome your so far buddy!
We have had so much rain down here South it's unreal I live in North Carolina and we have had a record breaking rainfall in the last 6 months it's got to be effecting the fishing . I am following you all the way through.
Loving the series!! Im from Missouri and there are a lot of good lakes around here. Table rock lake is kinda overfished but there is good opportunities for some big small mouth and large mouth. Crappie fishing is really good at Mark Twain lake and bass fishing is pretty good there too. The last one i would suggest is lake of the Ozarks, also fished a lot but i have ran into really big bass there. I caught my PB there last year weighing 6.8 and i caught a bunch of 5 pounders last year there as well. I hope this helps keep up the good work.
If you're planning to just go down I40 here in nm. Ute lake is close to conchas which is bass, or you can travel farther west to bluewater lake for tiger muskie
Good to see your on the road, watching your'watery antics', always puts me in a good mood. Had a.crap day as i nearly got run over by someone who was on the phone and not paying attention to the road! So keep em comin and stay safe. 👍👍👍
Setting a hell of a pace for this series bud!!! You are spoiling us with all this content. Watching from southern indiana! Already know the Lawson collaboration is going to be 🔥!!! Tight lines brothers! 8.88lbs BOI
If you guys want a good bass lake in Iowa, check out Lake Wapello. It's a small lake, but it's catch and release only, so there are lots of really solid bass for a northern state. You might even have the whole place to yourself.
Im moving to Gainesville Georgia from Salt Lake City Utah in a couple months. Can't wait to live so close to this lake! Love the series so far man, stay safe on your travel!
Definitely following the action. There’s a small heated lake in Arkansas called Swepco that you guys should hit. It has Florida strain bass in it, and some pretty good sized ones.
When you head up here to fish the New England states, you'll want to check out Colebrook River Lake here in CT. Probably the best bass fishing in northern CT. It'll be the deepest lake you'll probably ever fish as two areas of it are over 100 feet deep. Stop by my store Still River Outfitters in Winsted, I'll put you on some fish.
My fishfinder maxes out at 600ft and I have found a number of places that it can't reach the bottom. It is also one of the few freshwater lakes I've ever been on that has whitecaps on a normal basis.
Bluewater lake in NM has tiger muskie and is close to i40. Santa Rosa lake is close to i40 and reports say it's good, Conchas will still be cold for another month. Really enjoying the series, keep it up and be safe!
Watching them all like I do all of your videos. I say when you get to Maine we got the Androscoggin and Pejepscot Rivers for big smallies and pike. Or Cobosocontee lake for a biggish lake here in Maine for parties. I'm partial to the Andro river cause I live like 8 minutes away. lol
Following the 50 states vids from Wichita Kansas, keep up the good work Matt surely enjoy. Be safe out there. When u heading to Kansas would love to meet up.
The upper part of lanier is good, especially were the chattahoochee runs in. Lake tugalo in ga is 300 ft deep at the damn. Loving the series especially seeing people interpret my home lakes. Gives me a outsider's point of view. #sbfishing
Chickamauga Lake when you get to Tennessee. Y'all should've hit Tennessee on the way to Georgia. It's been pissing rain down here so everything is chocolate milk. Not surprised Lanier was so dirty. Best of luck in Florida. The van looks sick.
Hello from NC, would liked to have been able to meet you when you were at Harris earlier this week. I live about 55 miles from that lake so I fish there seveal times a year. Good luck on your tour.
St. John’s river in Florida is the bomb. I live pretty close to a couple of the lakes off the river and right now they are doing really good but if you guess have some extra time or want to change something for sure try the st.johns
if u come back to ga there is a new lake just north of tallahassee fl by 30min in a town cairo,ga . Tired creek lake It is a new lake they have been catching 10+lbs bass out of this lake . But down in fl look up lake Talquin north west of Tallahassee
Great video man. Make sure to definitely consider Sand Hollow in Utah. It's one of the most beautiful lakes I've ever fished. Its smaller and really busy. Although its completely surrounded by red rock and a great change of environment to trees. I swear its like 20 foot visibility aswell.
All of those spots feel huge. I wish I would have known you were here. I would have loved to come up there and say whats up. Going to lanier tomorrow. Drive safe!!!
Of course im at the classic when you're at my home lake!
Mine too
Fish the south part of the lake and does not catch anything
@@hunterhurst4035 same haha
Yessir
I always fish the north much better than the south.
James is like the Mr. T of your A-Team. Boat Driver. Van Driver. Security cuz he is a big dude.

I am loving this series. It's so cool to see how lakes are fishing at this time of year in different states. Go get 'em fellas.

When you hit South Dakota go to Lake Cochrane for largemouth. Never disappoints.
Cochrane is nice. Like Big Stone Better. Land of 7lbers!!!!
Very true but if you’re in a flat bottom boat and the wind is whippin’ on Big Stone it would be rough. Cochrane is nice because it’s small and protected. Plus, Big Stone is split between SD and MN so do you cross of two states at once?
Loving the 50 states videos, you should add some provinces to you list, Canada has so solid lakes.
What’s a solid lake? An ice lake?
@@jimdawson5299 yeah that and just some good liquid lakes
I fish tournaments on Lanier and it is a hard lake to learn but spotted bass get huge
I'm on board, be here for the duration. You and Lawson are the two guys videos I religiously watch. You're off to a great start, enjoy.
Thanks for listing the upcoming States, I’m looking out for Vermont. Lake Bomoseen and St.Catherine are really good, Champlain as well.
Justin Maier bomoseen is so underrated
