- Here's a stroll around the Ile Saint Louis island in Paris. I recorded this impromptu walk over on Facebook and now have uploaded this replay on UA-cam.

Oliver i miss this type of video from Paris! as always great video. i am a subscriber to your podcast. this morning i heard your podcast on the Saint Louis, which was awesome. All of your podcasts are great. To watch this video after i heard your podcast was a great experience! Plus, i am reading your book Paris on Air which is great too. You do a great service for those who are Paris Dreaming, like me. keep up the great work
It certainly is a nice part of Paris; a total oasis of calm I’ve just listened to the podcast which was absolutely fascinating. Thanks Oliver !
I'm a big fan of the doors just like you. Once I was walking to the modern museum and took a lot of photos of doors, one in particular was the academy of architecture of France, simple elegant and very beautiful.
Thank you ! ! ! Wonderful walk! ! !
This was great! Loved looking behind those gorgeous doors.
So enjoyed this Oliver👍been to Paris many times but never ventured onto Saint Louis, suppose as a tourist Ile de la Cite always has the appeal. Definitely have a look whenever it becomes possible again, many thanks to you and Lina for all you do to keep us entertained during this horrible chapter in our lives.
I love, love that island! Thank you for this walk!!
Glad you enjoyed it, I love the island too!
@@TheEarfulTower me 2!!! :)
My third video of yours (Adrian Leeds brought me here). It is fun to watch as I lived in Paris when I went to Uni there. I had an apt on Île St. Louis... another lifetime ago but glad to see all is well!
As you walk through the streets of Paris, why don't you name the streets as you walk along them? The arrondissements? And then as the streets or arrondissements changes, why not mention it, so people know where you are? Your French (or atleast your pronunciation), is excellent! Especially as you walk by famous landmarks, such as Berthillon. It is famous, it is a landmark, it helps remind people where you are.... everyone's favorite spot is different in Paris, just as their favorite memory is different. There really is no "Best of" in Paris. It is all wonderful!
Sometimes I do say the street names ;) Thanks for the compliments, and thanks for watching!
Thank you Oliver.....from Atlanta Ga
Beautiful day!
Very!
Merci Oliver.
Thanks for the walk! Love the Ile, the doors, the light, and Paris :)
What a lovely window on the world. Thanks so much Oliver! And a big HELLO from Tamsin and Gary in Frome, England
It's a nice cityscape.
Poor Notre Dame! I'd like to see into all of the courtyards.
Merci!!! For a nice vdo in these covid lock-downs. Cases are mounting in France. Safety first. Stay alert.
My favorite area in Paris.
Right there with you Oliver on the doors, love them.
As far as filming while you walk, I believe it is okay because it is part of your work. Others that have similar work are continuing to film. Stay safe.
Good morning!
Morning!
Your internet will stop dropping in and out if you just go to settings and turn off search for Wi-Fi....

It’s one spot where anglophones meet!
Je recommande le livre Le Foyer de l’Île Saint-Louis de Paula Gabay :)
Hey Oliver, aren't you allowed to walk for your work? You are working, right?
I don't know! I suppose I am allowed to do it, but is it strictly necessary? And more importantly, if I stay inside instead then surely I'm helping prevent the spread of this thing?
Good morning!
Morning!
