Hi, this is Dave, guess I can now sit back, make a cup of tea and enjoy this beautiful walk, I hope you enjoy all these walks as much as your viewers, I hope it doesnt feel like a work assignment...for me this is going to be 5 hours of bliss, the more I am watching your videos of Paris, the more i am falling in love with this beautiful city...you have walked hundreds of miles to give us these wonderful videos, your work is superb, all i can say is Thank You.
Liked all the French flags at the Pantheon. 🇫🇷 🇫🇷. Very colorful. Spooky very few people out and some not wearing a mask. 😷Some people sure give you a glare for filming. 📹You don't realize how big Paris is, until you see it from the top of the Eiffel Tower . I thought 5 hrs was too long, but i watched one hour a,day. EXCELLENT video. You make it look too easy. Merci. 🇫🇷
better than all paris documentaries very enjoyable thank you very much, 1:35:23 as if all paris is there =) why? I've been following your channel for a long time and I'm recording Istanbul videos
This is so awesome. I went to Paris in 2015 but was with someone that walked about 3 miles an hour and only stopped at her destination. I wasn't able to stop and look at the gorgeous architecture which is my favorite thing to do. Thank you for finally showing it to me! My treadmill walks have just flown by while watching this.
There next time you go, don’t travel with that person so you’ll be able to enjoy it. We loved every minute of the week when we were there in January 2020, the next month everything shut down.
@@lewisbale1 Oh, I promise you. That will never, ever, ever happen again. lol. I also would rather stay the whole time in Paris unless I had a month or so. We were only in Paris five days and then went on to other parts of France. I could stay in Paris for a month and still not see everything I would want to.
This video is amazing! I just got back from my first time in Paris and went to pretty much all the spots visited here. The historical facts are excellent and I really love how personal it feels. Thank you so much.
Wow i seriously believe they did a major clean up project during the quarantine..... nobody has seen paris look so damn clean...it looks like amsterdam!! They cleaned the streets and painted all over the hideous graffiti!!!!!! Gooo paris!!!
Interesting observation. It looks very inviting and ideal. I like Paris ! I have been there twice in recent years and yes the video shows everything super clean !!!!!!!!!! mmmmmmmmm....
Your videos are always top notch. Thanks! And thank you for the book recommendation…General Dumas looks to be an amazing story any history buff would be sure to want to learn about.
Well Issac, this one I think is the longest we’ve seen from you, this will be good for a nice Sunday morning watch-fest 🤣 thanks again, my wife and I learn so much from your videos! Best walking channel on UA-cam!
Yeah, this is a long one alright. :) I don't plan on posting up too many extra long videos like this but I figure people will just end up walking it in sections anyway so it's alright. I've added a lot of captions in the walk. I still have some more to write and hope to get them finished up today. Thanks for watching and glad to hear you are enjoying the channel!
The funny thing is, I visited a lot of these things without knowing their names while I was in Paris. It's such a beautiful city that every day, I woke up, got up in the train/Uber or on the electric scooter and decided to go whenever my whim took me. And it didn't fail me even once!
I lived in Paris for 18 years (exactly here 1:35:08 ^^), I left it 4 years ago for my studies. It's a really beautifull video, thank you to bring me some memories. Paris is really the most beautiful city in the world
Just finished watching this...I loved it! Felt like I was right along side of you..and those shots of the Eiffel Tower were great! Thanks for taking me along for the walk!
What a beautiful city full of magic, I hope one day to be able to go, thank you very much for uploading this and being able to fill me with inspiration.

1:) A SUPERB "route plan" right from the outset to be referred to, if one wishes. 2:) A very GOOD caption descriptions with history thrown in to be captivated until the last!!!!!!!
I love, love the Pantheon. I want to go back now that Josephine Baker has been given the honor of her burial there. Fabulous honor for her and her family. I bought the French-language version of Notre Dame de Paris from the gift shop. Read it in French in high school. And I have that book by Reiss.

I can't read all the comments to see if this was mentioned. At 1:27:38, directly to your left is the last residence of Camille Desmoulins, who famously started the Revolution on July 12, 1789 by calling the crowd to raise arms at the Palais Royal. There is a plaque on the wall above the awning of the building that says "Soldes" in the window. He was arrested at this residence on March 31, 1794 and was guillotined on April 5th, along with Georges Danton and 13 others. His wife was guillotined eight days later. A wonderful novel about him, Danton and Robespierre is "A Place of Greater Safety" by Hilary Mantel. The audiobook is outstanding. Edited to add: I've been really enjoying this walk and all the history you've included. Off to watch some more!
Thank you for all you do. The difference between you and the rest is night and day. Your camera work is on point from beginning to end. This was a pure joy to take a virtual walk with you. Minor technical thing, the subtitles cut out before the Arc de Triomphe.
Wonderfully shot Isaac. Thanks a lot. You make walking so pleasurable.. Paris, beautifully covered. Each one of your video is a gem. Keep up the good work!
Hey Chris, yeah, my dad came over in 1953, but his mom made them stay inside the boat and he didn't get to see the statue when they arrived. I was super excited to go in the Statue of Liberty when I was a kid. I thought it was going to be like the top of the space needle with an observation deck and restaurant. ..then we went there when I was 8 and I found out there is barely enough room for four people to stand up there at one time. :) It was completely not what I expected.
@@ProWalks That's amazing! It was part of our big trip to Arlington/DC, Ellis Island/ NYC when I was 12. Yeah the symbolism is huge... The original twin towers had a huge pool on top, but I think the Empire State was my favorite in terms of architecture and view, and roominess.
Absolutely love it, haven’t been to Paris for about 10-11 years but suddenly I’m there again, what an absolute treat. Superb quality too. Thank you very much for sharing.

Hi, awesome tour! The only thing is there is a big gap in the subtitles between 2:57 and 4:33 (that's hours, not minutes): 02:57:31 The name Champs-Élysées’ is French for the name for the mythical Greek paradise known as the Elysian Fields. 02:57:49 This part of the famous street is a public park called the Jardin des Champs-Élysées (Garden of the Champs-Élysées). 04:33:57 In 1889, the French government organized a World's Fair to celebrate the centennial of the French Revolution. 04:34:11 A contest was held for the design of the monument that would be the centerpiece of the proposed 1889 Exposition Universelle (World's Fair). Was that intentional? Or do some of the subs get left out by accident?
Well..about that.......I had someone helping me with the captions and I wasn't planning on having to write them all..but, turns out they were not as much help as I was expecting and I didn't have time (at the time) to finish all the captions. I need to go back and finish them for sure. ....new walks keep taking up my time. Thanks for the reminder though. Adding that to my to-do list. :)
