- Emmy winner Jake Hamilton sits down with the stars of LES MISERABLES -- Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Eddie Redmayne, Samantha Barks -- only on JAKE'S TAKES! Follow Jake around the world at jakestakes
Anne Hathaway has a way of speaking that makes her seem very regal
Amelia Swan she did play a princess... in another movie
v
Almost like she’s the queen of Genovia
It's so refreshing to see an interviewer who takes his craft seriously, most interviewers ask the same standard boring questions, haven't done their research, haven't thought about the questions they're gonna ask, and come across as clueless. Jake does all the opposite.
Redmayne's accent is just jolly enjoyable. So clear,so light,it's really pinpointing his timbre in the purest state. These interviews are really great!
The casting for this is just impeccable. Samantha as Eponine is my absolute favorite! I relate to her character as an adult so much
Man.. Everyone looks so fantastic in the film. Truly the most breath-taking film experience in months.
If you don't watch this, you're really missing out!
Anne Hathaway freaking deserved that oscar.
Ikr. Only about quarter of an hour of screentime but what a performance!
What a great interviewer. Good Job, man!
I'm glad that Samantha played Eponine ! I CANNOT see Taylor paying Eponine, she would've been awful !
I loved Samantha but I dont get why you think Swift would be awful?
@@odlotowybalkon4967 Taylor is more better in pop. Good thing Sam was casted because if Taylor was casted, it would've been the same as Nick Jonas as Marius in the 25th anniversary.
Sam great on stage but on camera she leaves a lot to be desired 0:46
Samantha vs Taylor. For me its always gonna be Samantha but i mean i respect Swifties its just im obsessed with les miseralbes and Éponine.
Yes I agree that Samantha Barks did a great job as Eponine. Taylor Swift should stick with doing pop music.
Anne Hathaway is so amazing and smart. I love her!😍
i literally felt Anne Hathaway's emotion through her entire interview
i think the interviewer is really good! nice job!
"Sorry I married someone else" LOL
Samantha seems like a really nice person to hang out with
Jake that was a GREEEAAATTTT! segment with Hugh Jackman. Classic, one of your best interviews in my opinion.
Jake still packs 'em in. How come no other interviewer comes close to this?!
all these freaking arguments about fantine being a dreamer, she was. I've read the book, plus if you listen to I dreamed a dream, there's the lyric "I had a dream my life would be so different from this hell I'm living........but he was gone when autumn came" yes. She was a dreamer. She met cossettes father and had a dream her life would be perfect, but when he left her that dream was ruined, and she is left penniless and that's when the song I dreamed a dream comes in. Okay? Good
Anne Hathaway's take on Fantine's state of mind during I Dreamed a Dream is so beautiful and heartbreaking. No wonder it was so effective on screen!
My God, every time I hear Anne in that movie, it breaks my heart.
I love how Anne's interview ended. "I am so sorry that I married someone else." (x
when the interviewer asked Eddie which cast he wanted to stop and sing I was subconsciously thinking the avengers would make a good musical and then when Eddie said it I was like WOAH GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE
The first time I heard Samantha Barks sing On My Own I almost burst into tears in the middle of my chorus class, not knowing the back story at all, because it was just so... amazing. Moving. Awesome job!!
Jake's a wonderful interviewer, such intelligent questions!
Omg Anne hathaways intervenor made me tear up a little
best part of this interview. Samantha barks❤
Anne Hathaway is so amazing. She is so thoughtful and profound and really a genius of an actress.
This interviewer is amazing. Especially his questions for Anne Hathaway, this is the way an actress of her calibre deserves to be treated.
The questions were great.
I love how Samantha got to be in the film :) Acting along all these A-list celebrities she really holds her own...
These interviews were so awesome. Jake made the people he was interviewing feel so enthusiastic
"Every line is a different mountain that needed to be climbed. Some of those mountains were higher than others, and while I enjoyed climbing some, I hated others. But if you’re not exhausted when you’re done singing this song, you’re not climbing high enough." - Patti LuPone
Yes! Anne, that is the most beautiful quote.
I got goosebumps when Anne Hathaway was talking about the last line of I dreamed a dream. She is amazing.
Samantha is so pretty and funny. I love her
Taylor Swift instead of Samantha Barks?? HELL NO!
Griselda Tovar
HECK NO **puking**
NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT.
Jake is my favorite interviewer ever.
Love all your interviews with Anne!
BEST INTERVIEW EVER!!
Is it just me who thinks Sam sounds like Carrie Fletcher? They're both SO amazing! Xx
They're actually friends
And they both play Eponine
If Carrie and Sam did a video together that would be awesome!
This interviewer is so good; it's so refreshing seeing interesting and relevant questions being asked instead of the same old "what was it like losing 20 pounds" or whatever
"I've never felt less talented in my life than when I sit across from you my friend." I love Jake the Movie Guy.
OMG OMG OMG I can't believe I'm seeing this on Monday!!!! I have been waiting for over a year!
Samantha has become my new favorite! And Jake has become my favorite interviewer. You ask great questions and not the lame crappy ones the ladies usually get, thanks for that!
just listening to Anne talk about I Dreamed a Dream is enough to make one cry!!
THE AVENGERS MUSICAL???? FUUCK YES
This guy is a GREAT interviewer! And the cast, spectacular. I'm going to see this opening week, and the following week, and the week after that... the casting was just so brilliantly done. Hugh Jackman as Jean Val Jean was superb, Anne Hathaway as Fantine was inspired, Eddie Redmayne as Maruis was magnificent, Amanda Seyfried as Cosette was grand, Samantha Barks as Eponine was wonderful. This movie cannot be bad, its statistically impossible. Whoop whoop, I'm so hype for this!!
Someone needs to give Jake an Oscar for his interviewing skills
YES! thank you! "The Prestige" is SO underrated! And also, these were some of the best and most interesting interviews I've ever seen. Good questions!
"I'm sorry that I married someone else" haahahahahaahah I LOVE HER
Anne's interview was awesome. They were all good, but hearing Anne's responses' were incredible.
Anne looks adorable with shorter hair :)
I love these interviews. The interviewer is so awesome, and everyone seems to be having so much fun with him.
where is Russell Crowe?
No-one cares.
He jumped into the Seine
@@davidsirmons i would've really liked to see his take on the role in context
this guy is the go to guy when you want to watch interviews with stars, it always reveals something about the stars you didn't know, the stars seem to have a better time and his questions don't want to make you pull your hair due to their idiocy
I just adore the whole cast, they are amazing
I really like his questions. I also love how he's done so much research to ensure good questions.
i
THIS is how interviews should be conducted ... Not going around the same questions a thousand times. An interview is to let people know of the actors' thought processes, how they helped bring their character to life ... Honestly, I feel better going into the cinema knowing how Anne saw Fantine. Good job, Jake, you have me as a new fan and subscriber!
Amanda Seyfried....
I love how you don't ask personal questions. I really respect that and I think the actors/actresses do also!
They are all amazing. I love them and the movie so much!
I love what Anne said about the line she had the most trouble singing. It was so deep.
"I've never felt less talented in my life..." Amen.
This film got me through the last year at university , someone downloaded it on a memory stick and I watched it over and over crying in the middle of the teaser he library writing a physiology assignment… I was joyed to watching it last week and today with my teenage children who were babies back then… they loved it too
"I have never felt less talented in my entire life" ditto.
I absolutely love how committed the actors were to their roles. It really shows in the film! I loved it so so so much.
7:36 or somewhere around there...
I totally understand that, that happened to me when Prim died in the Hunger Games!😭😭 I cried so badly, and I was sad all that week lol!! 😂😂
i love this interviewer!! i gotta say the interviewer is a HUGE part of making an interview interesting and refreshing, the worst are awkward and seem like they just wanna get through a list of questions, with abrupt pauses in between , but this is awesome!!
amazing interviewer, probing interesting questions
Well Bugh Jackman proved everyone wrong when portrayed Jean Valjean so brilliantly and beautifully!!! . So much for those who said he wouldn't do musical theater. Way to go Hugh !!!!.❤❤❤
Sam is so awesome
He is absolutely my favorite interviewer. Ever.
YESSSS! WE NEED AN AVENGERS MUSICAL!
when i heard and saw Anne sing on the boat. she brooke my heart so bad! this woman is a true actor and a singer!
Really good interview questions, however, you could talk slower in order to let the actor absorb the questions
Jake is amazing as an interviewer, he really does his homework well ;DDD
LOVIN ALL THE CAST
eponine is someone who didnt mind dying for someone she loved, for him to live with another girl. just so he can be happy. not a one that blames the guy for leaving her XDXDXD
It's amazing how different an interview can be when the actors know and trust the interviewer. Great to watch.
Amanda=angel.
I've loved Samantha barks since her audition on BBC1 when she was just 17 years old .... and i don't think i'll ever stop :-)
hathaway is so beautiful with short hair !
I was psyched to see the movie before hand, but after these interviews Christmas can't come early enough! Great Interview! Great Actors! Great Play!
Anne Hathaway is so amazing!!!
this guy is an absolutely AMAZING interviewer. most of the questions he asks produce a thoughtful pause from the person he asks it
They sang liveeee? 😱😱😱😱😱
I watched this film today and cried it was so emotional! Anne& Hugh also Russel were amazing actors and actresses! Amazing singers!
why dont they sing the interviews, i feel weird!
hahahahahah! there’s literally not much talking AT ALL
Most interviews on youtube have about one or two good tidbits per minute. This one is filled with goodness. Great interviewing, Jake, and thank you for giving us 22 minutes of things that were completely worth watching.
LOL at Taylor Swift as competition.
Wonderful interviews!
And the movie itself was amazing. I cried my eyes out.
Taylor Swift woulda ruined the film 😂TBH
Fantastic movie.
Saw it for the second time yesterday and it made me cry--again--and I rarely dish out the cash to see a movie in theaters more than once and I usually NEVER cry at films, so that's a sign that this was a beautifully made, beautifully acted film.
And yes, yes, YES to Tom Hiddleston being in a movie musical!
Amanda is a little strange.......
The questions asked are so good in these interviews. Clearly research pays out.
Went to see the movie, cried all the way through the film and all the way home in the car. Don't think I have ever loves a musical as much as i love Les Miserables
I cried just listening to Hathaway talk about her role so passionately.
it's so refreshing to watch an interviewer who does their research and is as ready to talk about the topic as the actor is.
I was not at all familiar with Miss Banks & it was very pleasant to see her just chatting away! Down to earth, & completely unaware of herself, a breathe of fresh air from other young, needlessly big headed actresses. I will check out her other work. I'm sure she'll have a long, varied career ahead of her. The U for sharing this reel w/ YT audiences.
I just saw the movie last night and I cried pretty much the whole time. Thats how good the acting was.
Thank You!! I'm glad somebody likes The Fountain!
I saw the film about 3 weeks before it comes out. this film was MARVELOUS. I cried in some parts, and I'm a man. I loved the movie, and all the actors in it!
I study Journalism and after four years of seeing examples of great interviewers I've never seen someone as enthusiastic and thorough in his research as this guy. Amazing interviews with an amazing cast.
