  • Once the sanding dust cleared I had a much better body for the Corvette than I started with, not perfect, but saw the original plastic on about 95% of the body so that's a good starting point to me. I have two additional Vettes tonights to show off as inspirations, hope you like the trifecta!

Hey Dave! Just watched your latest video on your 67 Vette. For what you were going for it turned out great! A lot of work there for sure. Look forward to seeing it finished. 😀😀

Great video Dave. The paint work looks just like the pictures you showed at the first. That is going to be so cool. Hope you find what you need. Ron

That's cool! I love that movie and I watch it again every now and then.
Some guys who make model car parts offer custom-made parts, perhaps one of them could make what you need.

Love the large scale Monogram Vette, super kit if you find one now without braking the bank ! Evan stock the kit looks great ! Back in the 70's my buddy and I used to race up and down Mulholland in his 69 Chevelle SS 396 and the Vette's were hard to beat, you could not catch the 427's ! Good luck rebuilding your Vette !

You might find some wheels and tires from the muscle machine toy cars I've found a lot over the years at goodwill and local swap meets for 3 bucks I've used some on my 1/12th scale 70 Chevelle project I talked about them toy tires on the beginning of that project

I remember that movie when I was a kid I thought that vette was so cool, I had a matchbox car that I bet you to look like it, i didn't remember anyting about the move except the Vette and them racing down mountain, don't remember the name of the movie, but thought about what movie it was over years Intel now
On mecari there's a 1/12 or 1/16 Corvette that style that's been started for 65 bucks
