I will write two comments. One in English and one in Polish. I am Polish and whenever I visited my Russian friend, who lived in Poland, I never ever left her home hungry. I have also met other Russians and all of them were really great people with a BIG HEART. They will never let you down. For them, a friend is a friend.

5:17 men do men's jobs (carry heavy things, deal with mechanisms etc), women do women's jobs (to cook, to look after children, to make home cozy etc). It’s normal.

Jestem Polką i ilekroć odwiedzałam moją rosyjską koleżankę, która mieszkała w Polsce, nigdy, przenigdy nie wychodziłam z jej domu głodna. Także spotykałam innych Rosjan i wszyscy z nich byli naprawdę wspaniałymi ludźmi z WIELKIM SERCEM. Oni nigdy nie zawiodą. Dla nich przyjaciel jest przyjacielem.

That's actually quite common in my experience, I witnessed it a few times, I've done it myself a few times. I particularly remember one time when a random girl in a metro has sprained her ankle and I took her to her friend's place, spent 1,5 hours, almost missed a work meeting :-) Or that one time when we were students, first time in Moscow, wide eyed, no clue where to go, one lady spent about an hour with us explaining and showing us where to go, payed for our tickets with her special card (it was 2004, NFC wasn't a thing) so we didn't have to queue to the window to buy them for cash :-) A lot of people are willing to take the time out of their day to help

Russians are warm, interesting and calm people to talk to in general. Their offer of help is genuine and they do their best to assist you when in need. The best thing you can do for yourself is try to master the language as quickly as you can (this is not a criticism). You seem to be happy there, so it would be much easier to learn the language in this mindset even if it is one of the hardest languages.
Absolutely want to learn the language more. I just find it rather hard but trying my best. ❤️

I got the impression too that people are very helpful in RU. I had a positive tyre experience as well. While in Moscow I noticed I had very little thread left on the front tyres. Luckily there is Avito and I sourced out 2 nearly new Michelin's in the correct sitze. The guy's garage was open until 8 in the evening, which was surprising to me. Such places close at 4 or 5 here. We arrived 2 minutes past 8, but he was still there and had taken the tyres out. Handed over some cash and stashed them in the car. The next day I knew we were supposed to be looking for Shinomontazh which is a tyre shop. The guys there were super friendly, understood our Russian was not perfect, but helped out immediately and to a very low price. You are always worried about being overcharged, but he just pointed to a table on the wall and said that's the normal cost.

Люди в регионах помогают друг другу на дорогах по очень простой причине - сегодня поможешь ты, а завтра помогут тебе. В маленьких европейских странах нет нужды надеяться на окружающих, потому что ты всегда можешь вызвать сервисные службы. А застрять в снегу посреди Оренбургской степи в -35 на ледяном ветру это практически синоним потому, что ты можешь замёрзнуть насмерть.
Это просто наша черта, приходить на помощь, защищать слабых и огромное чувство справедливости!!!❤❤❤

People are the most important element that makes or breaks a town or a country,makes it good or bad. I'm glad you feel that way about Russian people. I guess this will be a kick in the ass😂😂 to try to learn more Russian.🤣🤣 It is a difficult language to learn, but in your case, all you need is the ability to communicate. I am a native Russian who lives in an English-speaking country, so I know how hard it is to go through everyday life without or with very limited language skills.Thank god this time is over. I worked hard, and now, as my countrymen say, 'it is a piece of cake.' 😂😂Don't worry, everything will get easier. Несколько запоздалый совет: для грунтовых дорог вам лучше поменять диски и шины. Похоже у вас установлена low-profile tires, низкопрофильные шины. Они не очень долговечны на дорогах низкого и среднего качества.
Стоит поставить диски меньшего размера, а шины с высоким профилем.
Лишние затраты. Особенно сейчас

A suggestion brother… get smaller wheels, like downsizing from 19” to 17” or whatever. A taller sidewall on your tire will make this MUCH less likely.
You want to get a car with tall sidewall tires. Not that endless money pit German car with skinny sidewalls. There's a reason why Lada's have been around forever. Built for the Russian roads.

They were the thickest winter tyres I could fit on the car at the time. 18 inch wheels. Just have to drive extra careful this time of year!

Прокомментирую немного часть про "сексизм". В России мы понимаем, что между мужчинами и женщинами есть разница, это абсолютно нормально. Да, женщина может увлекаться машинами и разбираться в них, к этому отнесутся спокойно. Но никто при этом не будет отрицать реальность, в которой машины, автосервис и шиномонтаж - это в 99% случаев мужская работа, вы чаще встретите там работника-мужчину, как и в салонах красоты вы чаще встретите работниц-женщин. Так уж сложилось культурно. И в этом нет ничего плохого: у каждого своё дело, свой хлеб, свой способ реализовывать себя и зарабатывать себе на жизнь.

Been here 4 years and they are kind and helpful but you need two sets of tyres winder and summer and carry spares of everything basic

Мы больше коллективисты, чем индивидуалисты - люди не остаются с проблемами один на один, потому что люди вокруг воспитаны так, чтобы помогать. Это воспитание, как потребность - если ты пройдешь мимо, то потом внутри будут "скрести когтями кошки". В этом есть и минусы, люди запада упрекают нас в отсутствии внимания к индивидуальным потребностям каждой личности, но у нас просто другой взгляд на некоторые вещи. Здесь нет правильного или неправильного, вы просто выбираете тот подход, который вам ближе. Нам ближе этот.

Есть технологии уклатюдки асфальта отводящие влагу уборка снга ливневые каналы оттаива ющиеи полотна по сути если сделать всё правилно он не будет сходить как листва по осени.
То, что вы принимаете за извинения, это объяснение для иностранцев, для которых такие вещи неочевидны.

You may want to transition to 4x4 vehicle with sturdier tires. This way not only you would feel safer, but you could explore spectacular Russian wilderness as well. Driving capricious, maintenance-heavy German vehicle is asking for it even in perfect conditions. It's a matter of policy for me personally to never, ever buy a German car. Only Japanese, and only Toyota/Lexus.

Конечно, поселок еще только строится и все вокруг него, включая дублер Гагарина-Чкалова. По-другому и не будет в ближайшие 2 года.

Жопа конечно... Но что делать, с природой не поспоришь. Вода уйдёт и всё наладится. Но всё-таки возьми дополнительный комплект колёс для зимы а низкопрофильную (летнюю) оставь для лета. И за давлением в шинах следи - иначе любой резине кранты очень быстро наступят
