For a debut game, they were really cooking with this game. It has such a compellingly told story, with a badass protagonist and a deeply layered world with some crazy lore. While the gameplay (combat, in particular) wasn't't the best, it was still fun and serviceable. It really is a shame that this game flew under the radar.
It's been 8 years now and there is no sign of a sequel. I think it will never get one but this game is rly underrated for sure. I have played a lot of games the past 8 years and this game still stands out as a complete unique game compared to all the other games. I don't know why this game is so underrated at the time it got released sure there were big games comming out too but this game just got vanished ever since. The Story is really good and has a plot that makes much sense compared too a lot of other sotry related games. The mechanic of the game is very unique but not in a bad way. For PC users it's not difficult to play the game at all but im not sure for console players. And oh boi the graphics are standing out of it's time and still beats games that are released nowdays. It is really sad to know that nobody cares about this game anymore :(
@@miyuhi4th471 Some of the later fights on expert mode were really hard. I like how it encouraged you to save up a few bars of focus and then unleash them all at once for massive damage. The difficulty was just right.
Man I remember going to entertainmart and buying this game because I didn't believe in purchasing digital, this game with its uniqueness gave me huge Beyond Good and Evil vibes, and that's why I loved it so much
I hope that someday, Dontnod will make a remake of this game. Not a sequel, but an actual remake. They should have enough time and budget this time. :)
Unfortunately I don't think it's their decision to make a sequel tbh, considering that this was produced alongside Capcom as well and iirc Capcom owns the rights.
@@JeanBaptisteEmanuelZorg You say that, but we live in the times of "reboot/soft-remake" = cash, ala naughty dawg and our dear friend Bethesda. I hope DONTNOD and CAPCOM are able to see how much people still love this game and hold it in high regard. I'd LOVE to see Nilin again!
I just started Remember Me again for the first time in like 6 or 7 years. I had forgotten how amazing the OST is. ❤ But I love this game all around. So underrated. It has so much uniqueness going for it when it comes to story and gameplay mechanics. The graphics have held up pretty well all these years, and Neo-Paris is always EXQUISITE and still looks gorgeous. And the memory remixing is fun as hell.
I remember completing this game in my childhood and now when i replay everything i cant remember anything except little bits of it like the start of the game and the end such a blast feelin like nilin remembering everything step by step(sorry if my english is bad as fu**)
@@RuruFIN both, I really appreciate when a developer gives us a game with unique mechanics, visuals, story telling and world building. This, game, binary domain and a few others may not have received any recognition but were stunning games.
@@legacyofvrak Pretty sure its in the main theme, but really quiet here and there as well as during some cut-scenes but of course on the unreleased soundtrack. It wasn't any of the really recognizable parts of this song, just small bits.
I got the soundtrack and discovered that most of the best music from the game is not on it... The best song is the one when you fight Madam whatever. Neither that song nor this one are on the soundtrack.
Don't Nod made one really good game and no one cares about it.What a shame.

Dontnod can't make a bad game. I can't wait for the next Life is Strange game.
@@acjayc I heard about Remember Me first time when the first LiS was coming out. Had to purchase it and I hella loved it.

I'd fucking love to see a sequel. One of the most underrated games which I know.
The combat is one of the easiest and rewarding when you mastered it
We do.
