in frostpunk's 2 utopia builder mode you can find a settlement inhabited by people who say the come from galicia (a geographic region spanning what is now southeastern poland and western ukraine) with a furnace having a austrian-hungarian eagle marked on it above the name Łukasiewicz who was a polish pharmacist, the creator of oil lamps and founder of the world's first oil mine, by the time the great frost arrives he is already dead sadly, this leads me to belive tha the austria-hungary goverement plan to survive the great frost was to build engines that run on oil and this particular one is inhabited by poles and i doubt that any austria-hungary people live there by the time the scouts of new london arrive because before the events of frostpunk and the great frost's arrival poland is still partitioned by russia prussia and austria-hungary and i think the poles living in the generator would be still pretty pissed about this and do you know what but hey thats just a theory
It's likely there are Slovaks, hungarians, poles, ukrainians, Czechs, austrians, and jews from the crown of galicia-lodomeria. Despite being ethnically polish on paper, the region had sizeable ukrainian, jewish, and hungarian minorities. Not to mention a smaller but still not insignificant group of slovaks since the crown included a small part of slovakia. The leadership was made up of polish aristocrats with austrian and czech administrators and bureaucrats. This is, of course, during this time period. If it was polish majority and polish rule, it likely would have been specified that the residents came from poland to distance themselves from the empire and re-establish their own lost nation. Instead, they chose to identify with the crown of galicia. Probably because calling themselves poland would cause everyone else to gang up on the polish segment of society. In truth, due to the sheer diversity of galicia, it's hard to say what the ethnic make up is outside of its likely there is no one group making up the majority since most of them don't have a reason to wipe the others out, the austrians and hungarians have a reason to claim their from the empire, and the poles have a reason to claim their from poland.
All the countries had ways to deal with them. There was also the mysterious machine that the French were building mentioned in the last autumn. Maybe a huge train. A hulk? An insulated shelter?
@@serteshsardrakal2272 Unknown in the story. But it is stated that Tesla was THE american expedition but it may have been referring to the american expedition sent to the area around New London. Similar to most other generators and countries, we simply don't know. We are aware that some americans did escape Tesla City though.
The thing that hits me hard with your lore video is the lack of FP2 cutscenes... As well... there arnt any really... I love the game and its a lot of fun, but content wise it screams "undercooked"
