- The California Air Resources Board aims to replace all diesel trucks with zero emission vehicles by 2035. But for port truckers, the deadline is much closer.

California's in a death spiral nice job Gavin
So, avoid CA, period.
This is how you increase the cost of goods to the consumers. Thanks California.
Just wait until they outlaw nitrogen fertilizer to stop global warming. What better way to reduce our carbon footprints is there than to starve us all to death?
Damn, just when you think Gavin can't destroy California any more, he comes through again in a clutch (pun intended)
Gavin Newsom is just too good in this category, best of the best 🤣🤣
Oh we're still going with the global warming bs!
Environmentalists are like watermelons. Green on the outside, communist red on the inside. Destroy America and build back better with an international socialist utopia. They're sick in the head.
The planet is fine, the politicians are the problem
"Zero Emissions Vehicles" = "Elsewhere Emissions Vehicles."
California will not be out stupided
So if the trucking co's move out, and there is no money to replace them, then I guess sea ports will clog again?
They will go to Mexico and across the border. Cali ports will die off
Or they will just ship to every other coastal state.
Anyone recall the supply chain issues during covid?
Mark my words… either the legislation will change its deadlines… or ports will move harbors… lets build a new one in the gulf of california and ship directly into arizona to bypass the california crap. If they want all that, they can figure out how to replace those jobs etc.
Go pick up your dry goods yourself at the port. They don't care how much it costs. You will need a Tesla to enter the port
Thank you Gavin for ruining California
If you think consumer inflation is bad now….
Write state Senator Nancy Skinner to complain that she is not working in the best interests of the state
What about newsom? He gets a pass?
@@middleguy1776 Nancy authored the diesel ban. It's her bill

"GOREBULL WARMING".............K-M-A !
So get ready for higher prices on everything you need 🤡
And democratic communists are more than happy to decide what we NEED or don't NEED.
These rules makers are crazy. They think that companies and people have lots of money.
And yet every summer our skies are filled with smoke due to fires. But ok, trucks. Private jets ok’d. Constant rocket launches ok’d. Everyone in charge has got their heads so far up their…
This has got to Stop an overreach by the Government and their Mandates > They only push this because it is favorable Taxes for CA . Im already out of a Job due to Log Mandates , and sold my Truck cause of to much Maintenace and could not afford a new one with DEF .
A lot of these trucks provide drayage from ports to inland shipping terminals. They’re older model rigs that basically haul containers. They mostly operate in port areas; Long Beach, Oakland, Stockton, etc - these are not the long- haul interstate trucks. A lot of small business operators will be forced out of work. This may have beneficial results in the long term by reducing some emissions, but in the meantime there are a lot of logistical and supply issues that will result.
Gonna be a lot of hungry people in cal.
Feel sorry for the folks that live outside la or the bay .
Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Romans 1: 25
Classic case of good intentions with unintended consequences.
Good opportunity for new truckers (until they're replaced by driverless trucks).
Supply and Demand may result in better rates for those who can still operating as port trucks in California. I understand that you will not be able to register a truck for port use after 2023 unless it is electric.
Hey I cant afford to live in this expensive town.
“But the air is just a tiny bit clearer” get out of here 🤦🏽♂️
The new manager forced the large and medium-sized transportation companies that have been in normal operation for many years to move out of the port of Oakland site, and then sent the benefits to AMB to operate the parking fee, which increased the parking fee by 3 times for the current transportation company! It makes it difficult for the entire transportation industry to operate normally, and seriously affects the customer service of the port of Oakland. Many customers feedback that they want to switch to the port of Long Beach, not to mention the customers in the e-commerce industry!
2.50 DALLOR GAS
$400,000 electric trucks with low freight rates 😂 Im a trucker with a vision to grow my company im moving to WA
Cool. Less bonehead truckers on bay area roads.
Whole thing is so stupid
Greedafornia.
You can say that again its definitely called greedafornia

Good
I support these trucker i really do, BUT they have know this was coming for decades. How do i know this? Because i know they have been lobbying against it for decades...
The fictional trucks demanded by the state do not exist
The irony here is mining those minerals for the batteries causes way more harm than a diesel truck ever could in its lifetime. Strip mining and slave labor for that lithium.
@@Bert439 Titanium is not the problem, it's lithium.
@@davidgravereaux1220 This is so true. I see hundreds of trucks everyday down the 80 corridor from the bay area to Sacramento. The new trucks aren't there and NO infrarstructure exists even at entry level. Do they expect trucks to park next to cars to charge? Reality check, no one's parking a 100,000 car next to a truck to charge.
Good! Putting a deadline means innovation happens faster, inventions to make the batteries last longer, more charging stations for all. If you think moving to electric and emissionless vehicles is tough, you might want to get out of the industry now before self driving trucks replace you by 2035 as well. Otherwise, guess you'll be getting back to work huh.
Precisely. Someone has to force the issue on this, no matter how painful it might be, or we'll never make progress. We've known for over 50 fucking years that we need to switch to renewable energy sources, but nothing has changed. Now that we can actually see the effects on the ground (massive wildfires, hurricanes, insane tropical storms, etc) we're starting to do something about it, but I fear it will be too little too late.
Your dumb. Americas power grid cant handle all those electric vehicles. How are you going to force something when California cannot supply that amount of energy needed. trucks are never going to be self driving either, ever.
@@bigfornoreason1 Blah blah blah
Lmaoooooo such ignorance

I'm a truckdriver that once worked in Oakland port I'm sick and tired hearing this climate change crap there is no climate change I moved to Texas the air is the same as California I owe a 2008 Frightliner still working no problem here as for California thar state will go bankrupted
