HELLA Glare-free High Beam - Driving with high beam without dazzling others

- The glare-free high beam, also known as the vertical cut-off line, is one of the most innovative systems on the market for vehicle lighting. Basically it is a permanently activated high beam, that does not dazzle other road users. The xenon-based system adapts the light distribution automatically to the traffic situation and increases the use of the high beam during night drives significantly.

What an awesome car lighting technology, I hope more car manufacturers adopt these systems. Nicely done Hella team.
Been passing many times vehicles with that system. From short and medium distance it's fine. But from long distance it's worst glare than brightest HID in reflector lamp.
Each and every car manufacturer should use these intelligent lights.this should be done mandatory in all the countries
absolutely amazing technology, good job guys. it's going to save a lot of lives although for me personally, the technology isn't something I'd pursue for one of my own vehicles as an aftermarket accessory but I wouldn't mind if it came as a factory installed feature on car I was buying or bought.

If everyone uses this system. Everyone would be happy, the dimming of the highbeam from Hella System dimms when the distance to the incoming traffic is very close, that will result in that the incoming traffic will flash their highbeams...
I would like if this system can have settings that we can change on the onboard computer.
what are the cameras you are using ( it says 200m detection in night ) how is that possible ?
+Chinnu Aravinda Dear Chinnu Aravinda, the cameras we are using are specially developed cameras. They are detecting light sources from other cars (e.g. headlamps, rear lamps) and other light sources on roads (e.g. street lights). This technique enables even longer detection distances than 200m. Is the Hella Platinum{H4 60/55w} also glare free? I'm planning to buy it if it is glare free.

please note, that the normal HELLA halogen bulbs are not related to the glare-free high beam system shown in the video. Normally, all halogen bulbs are glare free, as long as the headlight adjustement is right.

What cars come equipped with this feature?
I don't know whether there even is a car equipped with this particular xenon-based system, but there are many cars using a similar feature with LED headlights. For example Audi A8, Mercedes-Benz E, Porsche Panamera or Opel Astra.

Long straight length s of road are very few......roads are more often bending curving uphill and downhill.....super bright l.e.d. or similar are the #1 cause of VIOLENT road rage and light bars like on jeeps and lifted trucks can even cause HEAD ON COLLISION.....Transportation safety studies have been done and these are FACTS but there are NO WARNING LABELS on the mgs. packaging.....think about it!!!! Would you buy a product that would incite a "stranger" to attack and beat the shit out of you?

Without glare my ... This will make more glare more than ever!! Can you Imagine the refletions this will do in rainy night? Oh my.. And the people walking on the road?? This only detect other lights, not persons... This will make driving at night worse for the others drivers
