I'm so happy you exist! At 41, every other makeup artist on social media make me feel old. They use an insane amount of makeup and we all know that's totally unrealistic in real life. They have beautiful youthful skin and they ravage it with a ton of makeup. I feel like I can relate a lot more to your content, like it's actually addressed to mature women. I love that and I appreciate you so much 🥰

I agree...I'm 62 so imagine how this makes me feel when I see them applying so much concealer under their eyes !!!! I so, relate to him a lot more.

I'm 41 as well, rosacea is doing a number on my skin and now I have very noticeable wrinkles around the eyes. I don't mind smile lines really but the under eye area I can't get right when wearing makeup. Idk if I should completely forgo concealer or is just not the right formula I use.

I think if that's what you wanna do and it does t make you look older (it makes me look older!) then cool! Although I'm girri G 40 and watching them bake their under eyes with powder and glitter eyeshadow makes my lines tremble! Once your over maybe 30-35 a 20 something doing make up just won't work for you!
When Wayne has access to every high end moisturizer and primer but chooses to use Cetaphil. Love that!

Wayne, I’m torn because your beard looks good both ways. I agree it looks fuller with the color. The color is perfect, too. Getting the right color can be a tricky business. Your color looks completely natural.

I am 59 and your the only make up artist that I have ever heard say it’s ok to use shimmer on older skin !! I have always used it as I think your actually putting facets onto a faceted skin so it’s great ! Love all your tips not had s bad one yet !! Thank you Wayne

I'm 57 and have been using concealer as foundation for a long time now. I have never been able to find a foundation I really love, but concealer seems to fit the bill! Love your videos. You look great in any beard shade!

@@annanaylor Right now, I'm using Marc Jacobs. It is a stick concealer, but I rub some on my hand, then use a brust to spot conceal, the spred it with a fluffy concealer brush. I hate th look of foundatin, and this works great!
So you get a concealer to match your skin tone?
@Theresa Harvey on a wee bit lighter and brighter, but still very close. It almost looks like nothing on my skin; just better than naked skin!
You are the only makeup artist/ beauty influencer on Utube I have ever seen suggest using concealer as an alternative to foundation. I saw you demonstrate this a few years ago, I have done this also and it makes my face so flawless and perfected

I actually prefer the colored facial hair on you because like you said yourself it looks fuller. I do want to say that the gray in your facial hair looked fine on you as well. ♥️ I’ve actually got the newest Huda concealer on its way to me! Looking forward to getting it finally! 😊
I *might* like the brown better, but it’s so hard to tell through all the GORGEOUSNESS. In any case, the brown looks very natural. I didn’t even notice it at first-just that you looked perhaps more refreshed or something? Honestly, either way is great. 💖
Refreshed and younger.
Because of severe face and skull trauma(childhoodl, I have ridiculous shadows and a purple streak under each eye. I have struggled to find makeup and coverup that doesn't make it look worse. Some of those makeups made me sick, nauseous, cold sweats etc. Finding Wayne's channel has been a huge hope for me. I can (maybe!!l) wear make up again. While yes, I'm in my 50's, this has been a life long issue. Thank you Mr Wayne, for sharing your knowledge with all of us!

I have been watching Wayne since I was in my late teens and I turn thirty this year. He taught me correct blush placement and to not neglect my ears when applying foundation. He also made me aware of the ordinary before they became mainstream, significantly lowering my skincare budget. Thank you for always giving good advice! You made me feel beautiful when I was younger, and you'll make me feel beautiful as I get older as well.
Darker beard is my vote. It does look fuller. I love this Huda Beauty concealer. I also use Coconut Flakes.

Wayne you are always the first video I watch for advice on make up. I have been watching you for years..At 64 I don't want to be piling on makeup. You always show us how to look natural. You aren't just trying to sell us makeup. I don't like beards on all men but I love yours. I agree the darker makes it look thicker, but your personality makes you shine from within so it doesn't matter what you put on your face or beard. You will always be a beautiful person. Beard colour looks great, did not notice, so natural and close to what is was before grey.

I love concealers as well, i have a collection of it because I use it for everything: foundation, contour, bronze, highlight… so practical and looks natural and put together everytime

Your color treatment is natural looking. Love the idea of Cetaphil as a primer -- I will have to pick that one up and of course, your concealer/blush technique is genius. You do look wonderful! 💖

Oh yes, i have this one. Very beautiful. I go back and forth with this one & Loreal Age perfect Radiant a lot of the time. But a closer dupe would be the Loreal Full Wear concealer, which looks AMAZING applied in a thin layer with a brush; waterproof to boot.
I have horribly dry skin under my eyes and wrinkles.. which one do you think would be the best for my issues?? Thank you so much in advance for taking the time to answer me, if you find the time of course ❤
@@Those.who.stay.silent.consent You cant go wrong with either. But the Huda moves around less; its less fluid. So Id go with that. Unless your under eye skin is very loose, crepey, and saggy, in which case id say the fluid texture of the Loreal might just be easier to maneuver into the skin. But that would be an issue more so after 65 or 70.
Less is more, so the right color of concealer is important. Not too light, and with the right undertone (golden, peachy, yellow, it depends). I have an olive skin tone, and got a neutral shade that ended up looking slightly pink on me. Id go with a golden shade next time. Softly buff it over the eye area with a fluffy brush with longer bristles, or tap it in until you have a thin, even layer. You can then tap it with a sponge in front of a fan to help it set on its own withouth powder and remove excess product. Which looks the most luminous/natural. If you have very dry skin, you might not even need to do that. If it settles throughout the day a little, just tap it out.
If you want to lightly set it with powder, which powder you use matters, and the amount. The least texture enhancing Ive tried are loose, translucent powders. If I decide to powder under the eyes, I usually use Laura Mercier Ultra blur (not Holy Grail, but it works, its thin enough) or Too Faced Peach Perfect loose (discontinued). You can apply a thin layer with a brush or with fingers. Id avoid a full set with a puff and loose powder.. it just makes the area look dry and artificial, and magnifies fine lines.

I thought there was something different about your face, like maybe you had a treatment of sorts. Then I thought it was the blues that you are wearing (which really suits you). The beard color really works and makes your skin glow, but of course your natural color works too! I figured the Huda concealer would make your face really matte but you look fantastic!

I didn't notice any change with your beard until you mentioned it. The color looks natural and I agree that it looks thicker.
I'd like to thank you for introducing me to Rose Inc cosmetics. The foundation is so light and beautiful on the skin. I have rosacea so I use a bit of color corrector to cut the redness then apply the foundation. It looks so natural and that's the look I have been searching for. Their cream blushes are perfect for giving my face the right amount of flush in my cheeks. I'm not a big fan of their concealer as it's a bit thick for my needs. Since it launched this is my HG concealer!! I have over 100 concealers and I have re purchased this one twice now and I love it. I mix two colours on the back of my hand 2.7 and 4.5 I think it is on myself, I then spray a little setting spray on it, leave a good 30 seconds and then apply it under the eyes and anywhere I need it and blend. It sits perfectly on my more mature skin, doesn’t crease and doesn’t need setting if you don’t want to. I do under eyes because I wear lower lash mascara and glasses. But if I don’t then I don’t set and it lasts all day long. It’s beautiful. I keep going back to other concealers but I just don’t like them as much as this.

Wayne, you are a delight. I do something similar but with Lancôme stick foundation. Just a few dots in the middle then blend out. I learned to do blush like this in the 80s only then we were more heavy handed. LOL I love that style of specs on you too.

For years I hated my long eyes,and some person said "you look like Bambi". Why not.....mascara? Elvis dyed his lashes and wore it... Makeup is for everyone. Its self expression. I'm 60 years old, I live in Alaska, I am a nurse, I climb mountains and I love putting makeup on people and doing their hair. (at one time I was a stylist, I like people,hey,but I am an introvert) I'm just over 60, so you do not outgrow this.....
