  • Some people were struggling a little bit when trying to follow Ian Huberts tutorial about animating moths, so I decided to help them out a little bit by showing the process.

    Can I group this object instead with its all element hierarchy, that I could later put materials on the body and wings seperately? Because if I join those shapes, they become as one object , so that means, when I put materials ( color or texture ) they only be applied on the object as the whole

    hey man great tutorial breakdown. Keep up the good work. Just a quick question, how do you change the direction of the moths since they are flying backwards??

    • @maximiliangalinski6183
      @maximiliangalinski6183  3 роки тому

      What exactly do you mean with "flying backwards" ?

    • @ZenYol
      @ZenYol 3 роки тому +2

      @@maximiliangalinski6183 the head of your moths are backwards, i don't think you realised earlier. I followed your tutorial yesterday to create similar moth liike animation. I already found the solution and that was just to change the axis of the instantiated moths on the z-axis by 180 and apply transformations. This will change the direction of the moths forward :)

      Nevermind. You just need to select the shape key. You can see it's in a different color, you do it by clicking the little circle behind the value bar.

    Hi, I followed the tutorial but now my moths when coming out of the cube they come out in separate parts, like just wings and bodies, how do you make them come out complete? Did I miss a step? Thank you!

    I don’t understand how u got the plane to transform into that shape what was the method of doing that?

    • @maximiliangalinski6183
      @maximiliangalinski6183  3 роки тому +2

      I just selected the vertices and moved them around with g. To move them on the x axis you have to press g and x and if you want to move them on the z axis you would have to press g + z.

      First select the body, then the wings and after that you have to press CRTL+J to join them. I dont even know why the video cuts there, the part used to be there. UA-cam probably cut it out or something
