Gnome house with working chimney build

I made this gnome house in July of 2021 but recently decided to add two dormers to the roof and a working chimney that would smoke when glycerin was heated in a chamber in the chimney.

How did you attach the roof to the tree stump?

The top of the log is the same pitch as the roof. The roof is just resting on the log. I access the wiring by lifting the roof off. I’ve had it like that a couple years now and haven’t had an issue

@@InViNciBLeTD thanks, I have a row of white pines that needed to come down. We left 6 foot stumps and due to the wind I get ( I’m on top a mountain) I’ll need to attach the roof to the tree. Guess I’ll cut angles off the sides of the stumps and nail the roof in.
