People often think laying the bricks is the though job, but really it is the base. Once you got that level its smooth sailing from there
Yeah for real. Laying the bricks is seriously the easy part. Like the cherry on the top
Have you ever laid brick on med wet concrete mix , or how about brick paver with mortar bed and not sand ? It's not difficult but It's not easy like you claim ;)
Paving is not an easy DIY project but what I see is a job well done. Great work Connor.
The effect with the shovel and sand was cool😎👊. Great work and looks incredible😀
If only they could make a shovel do that with snow, the inventor would be a millionaire.
ColonelK0rn I know ! Let’s start working on that idea😀👌
This is so cool to watch, Connor. Keep the lawn and non-lawn projects coming!
Connor....your work ethic is second to none! Kudos
I've laid probably thousands of square meters of pavers and I have to say I can't really knock your techniques. Well done
Thanks. My first paver job
Nice job! Looking good. You're editing skills just stepped up a notch, nice reverse action there.
Don't you need to compact it any further? Or is it all polymeric sand as a base. Like the idea with the tubes, need to remember that 👌
The compaction comes later with a compactor after the bricks are down. The poly sand goes in at the very end
Yeah, I now remember you did compact the layer underneath the top layer of sand. (Your son even did it if I'm not mistaking 😅)
Anyhow, awesome job man looks great 👍 I also enjoy own work over letting some contractor do it.
Sure is a lot of hard work for one person. But the results are rewarding. Just like your lawn takes alot of dedication for the results you always get.👍
Heck of a long night a work. Need a break. Thankfully when I did get a chance to take one, you've posted a new video. Can't ask for anything better at the moment. Cept to not be at work of course.
I am in the middle of my first paving job (backyard paver patio) and this will help a TON! Thank you for sharing your process!
You're welcome
Love the way you did the dumping of the sand.
Rocking the Ryan lawn goals shirt
Loving the fellow UA-cam support
Great work as well Connor
If I were to ever come to your house, I’d want to help you do this kind of stuff as well as cut your lawn. Your projects are awesome. You’re a great handyman and a true craftsman
Looking great Connor
Like how you "undump that" sand from your shovel!!
Damn, that sure looks like a lot of hard work. But it came out great. You do it right when you do a project. Can’t wait to see video from everyone at the visit.
This wins longest project ever award on the UA-cam’s. The Egyptians would be impressed.
Wait... Does Connor have a time machine? I could've swore the previous video had the pavers done already LoL 😂 great work as always Connor!!!
Connor Ward does it all
Nice work as always Connor! My wife doesn’t let me play outside that much anymore. 19 month old lil girl taking up most the time for us these days. Love all your videos , Cheers Brother
Great work . You're an inspiration to me and I use your passion to reenforce my own at work.
This is awsome man. I really wanna learn more on how to complete these projects.
"I don't want to look like a home made job, it is a home made job" 🤣
Aw man I need to see this project through to completion! Tease.
Watching this made me exhausted. I see how meticulous you are. It's so worth it in the end.
Great work Connor. I especially like how you carried the walkway lines right out into the parking area.
I was worried about doing a driveway by my self then I saw you. Thanks man
Sweet! Looks awesome Mr. Ward!
Lol...the sprinkler part was hilarious
the new brick paveing job looks great!
Delayed First Aussie 😁. Great job Connor , the result is a credit to you. 😁👍👍
What was your base?
Depth? Material?
I've read non woven geotex on dirt followed by 4" of crush and run gravel followed by 1" of sand?
Learning a lot from you. So you just use a regular sand for your base?
Great job Connor
Love what u r doing there
Love watching this whole process! Looking good, Connor!
Sweat equity, baby! Looks fantastic!
That's a neat trick with the conduit
That's a sweet looking parking spot Connor!
Looking good! Very professional 👍🏻
That is one helluva project Sir! She's a beaut'
I don’t see Ryan Knorr doing any paver work😜 he just likes to lay around and eat Cheetos
Haha
Ryan Knorr Lawn Care haha just jokes brotha I’m from Johnston.
@@TheBgCreations hey neighbor
What exactly are the pavers sitting on? Just sand? You mentioned concrete. Where is the concrete? Under the bed of sand?
You sir are a shovel Ninja!
Watching things in reverse is pretty nifty.
Nice to see footage of the labor that the end results already show. Did you have a pattern for the paver layout, or just make sure break lines didn’t line up?
random pattern. you will see in future vids
I'm about to level off a section of my yard for different reason...but I wonder...why do you have the conduit?
Leveling and getting all the sand the same height and depth
good job, Russia still watching you
How deep of a BASE did you apply under the Pavers for the Driveway?
3/4" Minus?
BEAUTIFUL results!😎
Take care,
🤓 -Thomas
Western Washington State
About 2 feet of pit run sitting there for 5 years and then some compacted road base. Yeah about 1 inch minus
You’ve inspired me to watch you at 1am 😂
Love the editing in this one Connor....
Are those Pavers a Belgard Product, or Mutual Material?
Nice & Clean results!
Where are you located?
Take care,
🤓 -Thomas
Port Orchard, Washington
Belgard
I am giving you 5 stars! ☆☆☆☆☆
Great work!!!
Nice magic shovel you have there...
You’re amazing, and a little crazy. Great job.
I feel like this video was cut short, I could watch you work for longer! You do amazing looking work and you work harder than most people on youtube since you do this AFTER work!
did you make the brick or you bought them?
I'm commenting because we got chastised by Connor in a previous video for only commenting when there's a giveaway. 😜
ok good. it worked
Wow! You’re so lucky to have captured the elusive Butthole Deer (Rectumis vigrinianus) on camera! We only have Whitetail by me 😄 Great job on the pavers, BTW.
Lookin great!!
God Job connor...💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
okay i’m ready for the next part
Love the videos. 👍
Good looking job.
Have you thought about a motion sensor sprinkler as a deer deterrent?
Yeah baby another one
My back hurts for you ... eeeeek ... looks great bud!
Looks fantastic! Btw, boxers or briefs? Oh wait you already told the world. At least no crack. 😂
love ur vids dude
Nice job
Did anyone else get “Twin Peaks” vibes with all that reverse footage? Seeing this project come along makes me want to do it at my house.
There are only two people that ever met that put as much work into their yard as you. My ex next door neighbor and this woman down the street for me.
So who wins out of the 3?
@@lawnrebel my next door neighbor use to work from morning to night on his yard but he lost his job when the economy crashed and didnt have to worry about waking up to go to work. I never seen The lady down the street lifting bricks so I guess you win
@@lawnrebel I work second shift and you got me up early every morning working on my yard, trying to get that golf course look.
Dang man that's looks awesome. But I think you made double the work for yourself picking all the sand.
Am I the only one thinking about kids riding the bicycle on that nice layer of sand? :D
When are you doing a give-a-way for the Magic Shovel®?
Next week
You missed out on some good venison dinners and jerky there my friend! Great job on the pavers.
That interaction with that guy about mowing was super awkward hahaha
When was the last time you heard someone use the term "buzz kill?" I think it was around 1972 when Nixon was illegally bombing Cambodia and marshmallow shoes were just getting popular. Jerk.
No cconnor, you should be at the lake getting ready for the big ski off contest with John !
Lcn is not going to want to do it
@@lawnrebel but Lawncology will !
@@scottohms2799 I guess we will see
Is Ryan Knorr coming to Friday's meeting?
Is mow code for something?
I have to many comments to post, but tell that damn lookey loo, to come give you free labor. Those deer wouldnt last too long in that area around me. And I like seeing that you are doing the 1 inch rule on the sand. You should have pulled a haynes with the pavers, throw'er down, one over here, one over there.
Don't you have to compact the sand at least a little?
I did a slight bit with my trowel as I was screeding it
OOOOHHH YEEEEAAAH!
Nice!
very nice
Love the work your doing. Better start seeing your local chiropractor and a massage therapist on a weekly basis 😊😁😁
Great work Connor. Who are the 8 fools that didn’t like this video?
Who knows or cares. It's not me mowing so they whine
Connor Ward haha true. Can’t be Mow Jobbing all the time. :)
Great Job! I feel like I should be helping you, that's a lot of work for one person.
Instead of asking you to come mow, I would ask if you would help come do my paver patio!
3:32 I don't like mowing for other people, I just... MY OWN, is that ok ? 😁😁👍👍
As for safety violations I'm citing no carpel tunnel protection, no back brace, and you shouldn't be working outside without lightning rods for protection against lightning
There's still no shortcuts for doing this kind of backbreaking work!
If that field across from you had poppies and those deer turned into flying monkeys you'd have the makings for a Wizard of Oz remake. 😂
Do you live in Idaho?
I'm sure a chiropractor visit will be in your future.
Hey!
I think you should have used top soil to level out that paver base. 😂
That might turn things to "concrete"
It might turn it to concrete
I don't dare actually hash tagging it, but hashtag layingthepipe. You're welcome!
Ha ha 😂
Laying pavers always drives me insane.
