It looks great, it sounds great, it's bright, colorful, fun, has skill based combat, great bosses, a large and interesting cast, great music, and most of all, makes you a hero fighting against an evil corporation. The sad part is that this isn't how most games are these days!!! This is great, and I hope we get some sequels! I'm glad you had so much fun with this. Evil Within 2 is one of my favorite games, and probably the most underrated game of all time. This shows exactly how talented those creators are. Awesome, awesome AWESOME!!!
@@Kraftium The first one is... unrefined. The second one is really good. You understand what's going on and it's a lot less of a "mystery box" scenario. You would be well within your rights to watch a let's play or recap and go straight to the second one. I really think they did some really impressive stuff with it, and it tells a complete and cohesive story. Just... don't go into it expecting Resident Evil.
The Xenogears joke is for me. Futurama did a similar thing, making a joke referencing an Inuit film called Atanarjuat: The Fast Runner, the indiest indie movie that ever indied. No one even noticed that joke besides me and my wife, who I took to see it on a date when it was in theatres. To the two of us, the joke was hilarious.
I fucking love this game. And i feel like this game is a successor of GodHand because how cheesy it is (in a good way). I got a good laugh from it. Definitely gonna buy this game if i built my pc
Personally, I agree with most everything you mentioned except for your closing thought of wanting this to be a franchise of sorts. I love the game, and am shooting for 100% on it at the moment, but I feel like to make a sequel or something of the sort wouldn't really fit for what the game is. It tells a zany story that's more "one-off" then "series" to me, and there's nothing wrong with that, but trying to make it a series I feel would undermine a bit of the energy of this game.
Thats definately how I intially felt and I don't think I'd want a full franchise like a DMC or something out of hifi rush, but just a second as *possibly* a third game would be cool and give them a chance to really flesh out the concept me thinks I mean the game exclusively uses different sub genre's of rock and theres a metric ton of those to work with, if not they could branch out into other genres too
At the same time, it might be a waste to just have it as a one and done when they could do more to perfect the gameplay formula with a higher budget sequel (plus the cast of characters is super strong, with plenty of room to be fleshed out in interesting ways). The game is quality for CERTAIN, but it was clearly stifled by some of their monetary constraints. Maybe an expanded remaster could work? 🤔
I love every single game made by Tango, even the first The Evil Within with all its flaws, because the TEW 1 is more full of personality and trying new things then the jumpscare and forgetable caracters that RE7 have, and i love it Tango is a studio that can make new things and show that there still love in making video games, the sad part is that bethesda constantly dont market and dont support the studio
Pause at EXACTLY 4:54 and Chai looks like a sewer gremlin lmao i love this guy!
omg its true
I wonder doubt theres quite a few funny frames if you pause the games cutscenes at certain moments
This game has given us what so many action games have been lacking lately, sweet and delicious air combos.

Make me feel like I'm back in the manual in every game case, cheat codes, blow on game in order for it to work days.

I think the best phrase to sum it up is "It's like playing a videogame music video"
Yeah your title is pretty much my reaction to the game
I really like how you've actually synced your gameplay footage with your background music. Good job
I think I only sync up a specfic bit or 2 on purpose while editing
any others you've noticed are likely accidental

With all the coverage on the game I'm tempted to get it on my PC rather than wait to get an Xbox. The game looks genuinely good
oh its absolutely worth it
especially since despite being as long as a bayo or a DMC its half the price
@@Kraftium oh hell yeah dude. I might even double dip
@@DEDManGamingWinsI was about to say could end up doing both for the price of one game these days!
It’s honestly wild to me that Microsoft were even willing to publish this game considering how blatantly anti-corporate it is
