Just watched all the videos in one sitting and I'm astounded by what you're doing with the KR1s. My friend had two of these bikes brand new in 1990 and 1992 and I remember fondly riding pillion with him. Both were great bikes. You've brought back some happy memories for me from my late teens/early twenties. Keep doing what you're doing, old classic bikes like this need caring people like yourself to make sure they never die!!!
Thank you for the videos Jay as a Kr1s owner (a bike that needs restoration) I really appreciate you taking the time to document the work and help others.
Little touches Jay always a pleasure watching your Kawasaki KR1-S The main bulk looks straight forward with regards to restoration or restoring parts but it’s all the little details like you said & how fussy you really want to be another great video I’m saving them all in PlayList thanks all the best from down in Cornwall...💯%👍🏻👍🏻
High jay any chance you making some of those still I am on a full restoration and been watching all your videos your such a clever man and like you were saying they look so tired on the bike would love a set many thanks
Hi, funny you mention it… I have just picked up a very fancy 3d printer which job 1 for it is to make the injection moulding tooling for the brake line clips. I will be making them from nylon which is the original material.
Another great video Jay. Your original break hose clips, have you thought about using a Hydrogen Peroxide cream to take away the discolouration? I have seen videos of old retro computers being restored (keys and outer casings), that seem to work well. There is a channel called 8-bit Guy and he does a lot of it ua-cam.com/video/wLp6bzG9exk/v-deo.html

To get yellow plastic white again you can cover them in peroxide in a sealed clear bag and leave them in the sun it will bleach them.
I will give that a go, thanks for the tip.. I just have to wait for the sun to come out, should be here in the UK in the next 4 months or so🤣
@@jaysshed4857 or buy a UV bulb of ebay for a quid 😊
