    That shot at 7.30 of the trees and bush in front of the dark clouds. Just like a painting, beautiful. We are so lucky to be able to detect in the outback. Cannot wait for the next trip to WA

      Daniel Jack Daniel's Cheers mate, finding that good ground is the challenge, sometimes l try between old gold sites(mines) in the hope that the gold has washed even further, quite often it has, sometimes l just go for broke rather than the flogged spots and its all or nothing, we all have a patch with our name on it, good luck when your out there and great you enjoyed the vid.

    Another great vid!! Im thoroughly enjoy them. I have just spent the last 2 days at the spot i mentioned in your other vid…. i found 8.5g total and this morning found my biggest nugget at 6.5g!! I was going to record the dig like you suggested but i was just way to excited and had to keep digging. The SDC was screaming and when i got her out i was over the moon!! Still havnt come down haha. Keep the vids coming!

    • @TheNuggetMagnet
      @TheNuggetMagnet  10 років тому

      Jay Mowgrass Nice work on your patch, l wonder how deep that gold extends, keep that spot to yourself cos you can chip away at it for yrs and a 6.5g nugget is exciting, they are getting bigger, well done and a great reward for your persistence, love hearing of your sucess, keep it up.

      Docdaugh Yeah, it was an unexpected surprise this yr, l am going to have to be lucky to match that again, l really started to believe in leprechauns, but its just luck, always happy to share and always glad you enjoy the vids, cheers.

    productive area to work up bet there are still a few more in the vicinity, or is that next weeks episode? :)
    some good operating to ping that 3 grammer at depth most people would have walked over that.
    love your work man itching to get back out there again!!!

    • @TheNuggetMagnet
      @TheNuggetMagnet  10 років тому

      zealand81 Gidday, there would be more there, as you know its so easy to miss, probably why the 3 grammer was still there, its a huge state with plenty more detectable gold, get back out there cos no-one gets it all, cheers and glad you enjoyed

    • @TheNuggetMagnet
      @TheNuggetMagnet  9 років тому +1

      AH6OY There are areas hotter than others, also the ground gives many false signals when wet,
      you get to know the difference so its not too bad, cheers.

    • @dodgyaz
      @dodgyaz 8 років тому +1

      +Bec R Best way to make sure you cover the entire area. Dragging the chain makes it easy to see where you have been as it leaves lines in the dirt.

    hi live in Canada west coast...just curious how gold was deposited in that big outback area 'looks pretty flat ..lots of red dirt nice vid ..nice gold...thanks.. mickey miner

    • @TheNuggetMagnet
      @TheNuggetMagnet  10 років тому

      paystreak Gidday mickey, you are seeing some of the oldest rock on the planet, which has allowed time to erode it back to almost nothing, spreading it for KM,s, there are still ironstone outcrops all over but are probably just a fraction of their original glory, these are what produced the trapped gold as they broke down over the millenia, thats how l imagine it probably happened, glad you enjoyed the vid, cheers.

    I had to pause the video for 5min just to look at the beautiful view you took and Dream then i started to think what's more nicer The view or the gold. Anyway i still like the gold nuggets your pulling out from the ground of cause. Nice one!
    I notice your grip handle on the GPX5000 is that made from wood? looks nice.

    • @TheNuggetMagnet
      @TheNuggetMagnet  10 років тому

      ren booth Gidday, l often stop and take in the view, its hard to resist, then l think of the men who prospected there a century ago, l dont know how they survived, but the place has an ancient feel about it, l cant help but go back in time, l intend to video more landscapes next yr, the handle is wood, l kept breaking the plastic ones, strong and comfortable, and yes sexy!, glad you enjoyed the vid, cheers.

      Will do. I'd like to buy something myself if I can afford it. Would you be able to show me a photo of something around $100.00 sorry it's a small amount but I'm on a disability pension since 2002 so there isn't much left after all the necessities are taken out but just recently I've been posting an ad on gumtree hiring myself out to find lost goodies. I've had three successful finds for folks in the last month so now I have some cash. If you have something that is better I can save up and wait. Many thanks, love your videos and enthusiasm. HH & GL. Chris.

      @TheNuggetMagnet  10 років тому

      Chris Barrett Good job on finding the lost goods, its probably harder than finding gold, all the small specimens get smashed sorry, l only keep the larger ones but describe what you are chasing and l will see what i have, great you enjoy the vids and hope you get more jobs, cheers.

      Gidday JD, the hat is from the local fishing shop(Frillneck) like the Lizard,, and the gaitors l think were from a camping shop, long sleeve white shirts to deflect some of the heat and metal free (Redback) like the Spider, boots, hope the move went smooth and you beat the rain, cheers NM.

      Have been mucked around trying to get the top timing chain guide, just gunna put the 1/2 worn one back in and get it back on the road, waited patiently for about 6 more weeks but that's long enough, all other parts have arrived, then he has to sleeve alternator mounting bolt and align properly with front pulley and brace properly to eliminate the wobble, theres another $2500 with parts, might have to win lotto soon, almost there fingers crossed, will search those hats for ya and let ya know, stay dry, cheers NM.

    Hi, I've been looking for your post. Very nice videos. I enjoy a lot going into the wild... and this a a good motivation . What kind is your detector? Is there special one I should look for, If I want to focus on gold? I see many guys looking for general-metals in sand-costs... but I wonder if there is a way to discriminate gold out of other metals. Thanks, see you soon, waiting for your reply.

    • @TheNuggetMagnet
      @TheNuggetMagnet  9 років тому

      Voice.Together Hi, my detector is a Minelab GPX 4500 and is designed to find gold, it does have discrimination also, its easy to use and l posted a video on settings to help others, the GPX 5000 is a later model and also a good machine, there are many good detectors that you can research online to find the best that suits your needs, good luck and thanks for watching, cheers NM.
