Selma's along the Redwood Hwy on the way to northern CA, beautiful place to stay......yes, I have heard of Christmas Valley....if you're returning to someplace east of OR, visit either Greenhorn (pop 3) or Fields, near the OR/NV border on the way to Winnemucca, they make a very tasty fruit pie every day, and you'll likely be their only customer for the day😉 I think they have a few fruit trees by the motel/gas station that the fruit comes from. OR is my home state, and I love all the little nooks and crannies you're going through! Enjoy our state, and keep it green!
@@sherryuran1143 You can likely hear yourself think, and you'll never have a traffic jam or likely be awakened by any loud noises. On many days, as long as I have Internet service, that's good enough for me! Do any rattlesnakes ever come through town? That's the only thing I'd worry about
My dad lived there too untill he passed away. Was good friend with a local gunsmoth, and my brother ended up taking their horses when they could not take care of them anymore.
@@randallfrank5682. The president doesn’t set gas prices ! We have been producing more crude in the past 2 1/2 years than any other country on earth! Much more than pre Covid and our consumption is still less than pre Covid. So cry about Biden some other way. The oil companies have been breaking profit records quarter after quarter. BTW. Deschutes county voted for Biden! On another note. If anyone is ever out that way, try to get a reservation at Cowboy Dinner Tree. Awesome place, great people!
From Wikipedia, it was named after a cowboy named Peter Christman, who also has a sink (Peter's Sink) and creek (Peter's Creek) in the area. He himself lived by Silver Lake, which is about 18 miles SW of Christmas Valley. I drove through the area once, but it was getting dark, so I couldn't see much of anything

It is a small town with dry, flat, treeless land. Facing the town, my cousin lives up the road on the left, about 2 miles.
Fort Rock is close by, but I'm not sure what else.
I live there, my only neighbor works at that chevron. You've made her car a co star it seems.

Western Oregon supported Brandon wholeheartedly, they like the leftist economy. Like my daughter says: I-5 rules Oregon.

They planned on making the city a huge tourist location. They even have a REALLY big runway that you could commercial airplanes.
