I love how different areas have different names for plants, the one you call "Snow on the Mountain" we call "Lambs Ear" some others call it "Woolly Hedgenettle". It will take over in my zone 7 yard. And I'm envious, our Peony's bloom in late April - May, I would love to have a fat vase full them. Now I'm off to watch part 2, can't wait to see the results!

Very helpful gayle..thank you to both you and your hubby for doing this video for us. While watching I got to thinking that for those of us who don't have all these beauties in our yard, we could go to places that sell flowers and plants and get cutoffs from them. Im sure they wouldn't mind letting us have them..right?After all it's just garbage to them..lol😉😀 tfs🤗🤗💜💜

I feel the pain in your hands from those roses! The cost of our art!! :) This was fun. I've seen others, like Nik the Booksmith do this, and of course, each one doesn't a bit differently. I see several things that were wrong with my wee attempt last summer. I'm hoping I can get another go at it this summer. Thanks, Gayle - and Mike!

Yay, Eco dying..... So excited to see how it turns out, i bet the blue dye is going to give it a wonderful effect. Your flowers are so pretty, I have a hard time taking beautiful flowers and sticking the in the pan.... I was thinking that I would try going to a florist and asking for a bag of their scraps since I don't have a big garden. (Just an idea for people who don't have a garden of their own & are on a budget) I tried Eco dying last year with things I foraged from the park & it was OK but I think it's the flowers that really give the beautiful effect because mine was kinda blah. I will try it again and see what happens with flowers & food coloring. =)

WOW! This was fun! I'm glad you didn't kill the ants. Ants and peonies naturally go together. I've read if you shake the peonies upside down; the ants will fall out. Your outdoor space is lovely. I hope the temperature was pleasant enough to spend some time out there. I would never want to go back inside. Mike: great yard and recording. You're quite the guy to help your wife educate us all.
