I happen to have those exact food colors set, never thought of using them as paper dyes, but yes why not? I got them to create my own inks using gycerine and water. Food coloring is really neglected as an art supply so I'm glad to see this. I really like the effect of this and your stencil is really beautiful.

Thank you! I keep meaning to use beetroot but we don’t eat them so would mean buying one just to dye papers
