From the looks of it, the spawn figure shares a lot of parts with the Martin man hunter figure,and Todd’s figure shares the pants of Constantine

God I loved all those In-Action action figures back in the day. So much texture and paint. loved them. Also.. I was one who would buy one to open and one to keep in the clam (hahah). So I have a lot of yellowed clamshells.
I missed out on that cartoony Commando Spawn figure version when it first came out so I'm glad to be able to pick him up now ...also like the tribute to Chadwick in the Black Panther figure...I know they are more like statues but I'm cool with that
Spawn figures should be in between statues in action figures
No, Spawn figures should be figures. These aren't figures other than the 2-pack. They should be highly articulated just like all the rest in the line. Don't market a statue as a figure. It's called false advertising and more edgy types would boycott something like this and raise a big stink about it.
Awesome review bro 🥰 but as of now I am not happy on Mcfarlane figures, specially like this one pre order or exclusives 🤬It just means its only available on state side and will cost more for international collectors 😤 Distribution sucks so I will never be excited on a Mcfarlane product, a lot of local seller got cut off on Batmobile and Batjet over here 🤬 Mcfarlane Toys are not international collectors friendly 😤

Damn normally I open all of my figures but seeing the packaging for the 311 spawn tribute and the Todd Spawn 2 pk, I’m not sure I’m gonna be able to bring myself to open them they look so good in package

Statue wings of redemption pass for me looks nice but Statue was the reason why I quit collecting spawn figures specially the last series 29,30 and 31from spawn figures
Personally I don’t get it, but to each their own. I didn’t expect anyone other than Todd would want a Todd and first draft Spawn two pack, but it sounds like people out there dig it. Good for them. Enjoy.

Todd mentioned he's bringing back old school non articulated with old characters returning from here on then with it being the main waves.
The two pack I love only issue it was more blue and red than black and red for his sketch. Also I think they could've had modified Todd's height on the figure since he's too tall irl he's 5'7. Still I love the set and people saying Todd is a narcissist making an action figure of himself is stupid since we literally have a figure of Stan Lee plus you're right we have people have selfie series Hasbro figures which sucks they removed it since I wanted to actually do the selfie series
Quick Question about the Spawn and McFarlane 2-pack…if that’s supposed to be the original Spawn design, then why isn’t he blue? Todd himself stated that that was supposed to be his original color scheme. Since OG Spawn was originally from space, he was supposed to be blue because in Todd’s own words “Space is cold, cold is blue.”
He should get into the card game since he loves them so much.
I also have doubts if the finish on Commando Spawn will match the original AoS figure. They are very matte and the new one doesn't look like it is.

These aren't figures other than the 2 pack. These are 2-3 POA statues. They were marketed as figures, so I'll pass other than the 2-pack. I have everything that's a figure up to this point, but if he ever releases a proper figure of the others then I'll get those.
So what are your thoughts on the wings of redemption statue? I have the autographed version pre- ordered but now I’m regretting it because I didn’t see that two pack coming. I emailed the store to see if they swap it! Either way the statue does look awesome but wondering your thoughts on it.

Some articulation is OK just give it 20 points of articulation no more than that because than the action figures get all loose and wobbly. Spawn should be in between 15 points or 20 i think 30 points is to much.

These releases are ok. But they are nowhere near as exciting as a Kickstarter.
That reissue of Hellspawn is not good at all. Smaller cape looks flat and less dynamic and the paint is nowhere near as good.
Wakanda Spawn looks great and that's a good recycling of the Rebirth Spawn cape.
Proto-Spawn is awesome.

Yawn. Biggest issue I have always had with Todd is that he has a constant tug of war between what HE wants (and then tries to convince others to like) versus really listening to fans and collectors, etc. It's why his entire history with toys ranges from genius to WTF and every point in between. Have listened to his elaborate rationale for everything from why articulation is (was) bad to side eye to the digital/phygital thing, etc. They can produce a fig like the Rock as Black Adam - almost perfect - then take a dozen runs at Superman and struggle to produce a single one that has reasonable proportions and a decent headsculpt on the same fig. Love and hate McFarlane's stuff all at the same time and have for years.
The Four Horsemen made Spawn, once they left Spawn toys were done.
Cool sculpts as always but pin joints with minimum artiulations in 2024... might pick them up if they go on sale
"Minimum Articulation" are you talking about the Todd/Spawn 2 pack? How much more articulation would you like?
@@JonathonPrieston Probably on par with what Hasbro, Mattel and Bandai are doing with their lines if I had to guess.
Look if Todd just wants to make collectable statues that's his right but at least let one of the big 3 make DC action figures in the 6/7 inch scale if that's the case.
I disagree. Spawn deserves some good articulation and, sadly, McFarlane isn't the company that can do it. I think right now the best company to make a really good Spawn figure is Medicom in their Mafex line. Their articulation is decent and they're great at making BIG capes lol.
I do want that Todd & Spawn 2-pack though but it's already sold out 😕
...And history repeats itself with these AWFUL statues SOLD as action figures. Get a clue Todd : THIS WAS THIS EXACT THING THAT ENDED YOUR REIGN OVER THE OTHER TOY COMPANIES!!!

I like the animated Spawn honestly. Really sticks out from your usual Spawn aesthetic. Probably pass on everything else here. Saldy, McFarlane had been very hit or miss with their figures as of late. Worse than usual imo.
Nope! Just more of Todd's gimmicks. I collect ACTION figures not statues and this is just a rehash. Todd is a master of 90s gimmickry...
