@@WaddleWhite-r8w Once they get around to fixing various sound related issues then thats something that could be on the table. Though at the moment, the mod is not exactly stable, due to it at time's overloading the games audio buffer, which can either blast peoples headphones/speakers or just cut out all audio sources completely until the game is restarted
@@LtDarkRing Oh that's why the audio randomly breaks when I play that mod, I thought It was my pc. That bug has been in the mod for a while so purple zombie must have been aware but unable to fix it. Hopefully that doesn't mean it's a hard fix.
This might actually influence me to get GW2 on PC again, especially if I can demonstrate my balance proposals for the roster in a pseudo-online environment!
I'm still more excited about Garden Warfare 1 private servers because they can give new life to a game that currently only has maybe 100 people interested in it (that's still a lot for gw1)
This is actually really cool. Having a mod with tons of client based edits work on a server for everyone (this is achieved because the server has the mod itself which is LoV) makes the game more fun and refreshing in my opinion + avoiding skidding. Private Play is extremely boring for me (I always just played multiplayer) and since most gameplay mods lock MP (For good reasons obviously) the novelty wears off quickly once playing a couple of hours so yeah i'm pretty excited.

Is there actual confirmation by the developers of these servers that custom maps will be possible? What stopped modders in the past is the inability to implement collisions, and I don’t understand how they will be able to do this now
@@MaseG27 They reverse engineered how the servers work, in order to make their own. Then, they modified the game in order to connect to the private servers instead of the EA servers. That's about it. I'm not sure why everybody is comparing it to stealing. It's not like they broke into the EA headquarters or anything lol.
@@mr.awesomesauce8412 We actually didn't reverse-engineer the server at all, we just figured out how to reimplement the functions responsible for creating a dedicated server in the retail game executable.
Private Servers are basically online servers, but ran by something or someone that's not from the official developers. It's also not publicly available, unline the online servers, which means hackers and skids cannot ruin your game with mods.
@@darthnugg667 you could probably get hired at a local McDonald’s for like a month and get a good pc not top tier but good still if you do it for 2 months you could get an insane pc and full setup

No, they are gonna make there own and actually ban people
The launcher creates a pre-eaac game executable out of the current version, which means no anticheat (and support for linux)
