Richar decided to tune his guitar Delta Blues wise. Means a double High d. So not why skip the sixth string. From that day Keith plays five string. Or ten...
Mick didn't do all the solos and everything else Mick was told how and when to play. Keith could've had any guitar player even Clapton or Page . Mick was a good employee that's about it 😎
I love the guitar tones on this song and the album; it's a natural high energy effect of guitar and amp, and there's lots of tonal texture to it, the player's attack on the strings is evident. It's not relying on super-powerful pickups or effects pedals that provide distortion but erase a lot of feel and texture. Richards and Taylor were at a peak here.
jsilence418 The Stones are nothing without each other, really. I know Charlie has some cool jazz bands, but they're all nothing outside of the Stones, which shows how awesome they are as a band in my opinion. The sum of the parts and all that.

@@markandersen793 yes I agree 100℅. With Taylor they made the best music. Sorry to say but Ron Wood has not contributed anything with such musical richness
This album and the Allman Bros: Live at fillmore east are the two best rock and rockblues albums ever. All Gibson guitars and here the exploding ampegs, Duane and Dicky used Marshalls.
I have both of those albums - and would have agreed with the above still some years ago. Personally I now find that Stones' 'Brussels Affair' (1973) trumps both of those.
6/12/2018 I saw them at the L.A. Forum twice on that "Ya Yas" tour. Wyman's bass nearly shook the Forum down, thick and deep, as it sounds on this track.

Mick Taylor shreds that Gibson.. but oh so subtle.. the coolest hot axe man..
secretbreak without mick taylor this is just another fun song by the stones!!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
secretbreak Mick Taylor what a great talent. Shame, about the dope!
Back when Keith really played rythm, and Mick Taylor's solos complimented that perfectly...
Richar decided to tune his guitar Delta Blues wise. Means a double High d. So not why skip the sixth string. From that day Keith plays five string. Or ten...
how about Mick Taylor is better than his band, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Lowell George, and everyone else. stfu
y'all do not know , well
Keith is best rhythm and Mick is best lead combo ever!!!
Richards and Taylor were at a peak here.
no hyperbole here -this is an amazing live recording
...talkin bout the midnight ...SHIFT!...
its songs like this that have made jagger a legend.
Jagger is nothing without the band. gee mick how is the solo career these days ?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHA!
jsilence418 The Stones are nothing without each other, really. I know Charlie has some cool jazz bands, but they're all nothing outside of the Stones, which shows how awesome they are as a band in my opinion. The sum of the parts and all that.
andrewptob spot on dude. Not often on these comment pages you hear someone talking sense. Check out the extended Gimme Shelter...you hear Bill and Charlie laying down a SICK groove, Keef did his incredible stuff and Mick sang like a bitch...no Mick Taylor :=)

I love that random funky strumming pattern Mick Taylor uses at 4:02
this is the greatest live song ever, I split the time the cocheral crowed, I don't like the light in the morning'
pure genius
keith welsh its an amalgamation of brit and afroamerican
i split betime the cockerel crow...
i left before sunrise
l split by the time the cock will crow; all mushed together american style.
@@jackallen3732 . the actual lyrics are ,, I split the time the cockrel crows
This is where you begin to learn about rock n' roll.
love it. brings back memories!
Agree.. notice when Mick Taylor puts on the distortion at 2:35...and he and Keith makes the greatest sound ever all way through
My dog listens to this on the headphones.
THAT'S FUCKING FUNNY. CLASSIC
I wish I could give you more thumbs up
A very cool dog.
You shouldn't do that. It could hurt your dogs hearing. Dogs can have tinnitus too.
Listen to that freight train rolling in at 07:43, good lord
Get yer Ya Ya's Out....superb...poor donkey!
the drums..........the drums..............
Charlie and Bill Wyman held the Stones music together
surely this is as good as it gets
The Stones recovered in gross receipts, but never in my mind. Taylor make the Stones something phenomenal..!
Yeah, the live albums that followed were a joke, Love You Live sounded like a bunch of amateurs. The Mick Taylor years, were the only time the Stones were the" world's greatest rock band," when he left the band, he took that title with him.
@@markandersen793 yes I agree 100℅. With Taylor they made the best music. Sorry to say but Ron Wood has not contributed anything with such musical richness
so great of an album, I wish they had true vidio of it.
I agree100%, would be amazing seeing this live
@@thsr592 have a look at the film Gimmi Shelter every song is in it from this concert!
@@Rene-xf9uqThat was the Altamont Festival. This was recorded in November.
Stones in their peak
Está es la mejor versión de todas me encanta los rolling stone
how charlie watts brings the tempo up and down on this lick is very impressive to say the least never misses a beat nothing fancy but a great drummer
Sublime....................
7:42 riff that begins makes Stones immortal..
Ludanne Lasyvyus Wow!❣️😻🍪
Because Charlie Watts is a British hurricane. And just when you thought he'd rip your roof off, he serves you a perfect martini. Shaken, yet slightly stirred.
Charlie is like a goddamn trains kept a rollin
