I love dotting different things, and learning to dot with ceramic glaze has been a really fun adventure. Many thanks to Chinook at Creativea in Fairhaven, who loaned me the glaze, and allowed me to film at her studio.

I have wanted to do mugs or glasses for ever! Glad I watched your videos!
The idea to make a sampler of the colors of glaze is a great idea!!
I love doing ceramics. I'm a certified ceramic teacher here in Florida. I've not been able to do them but You've made me want to get back doing it. Love your videos. The cups are gorgeous.

Omg Kristin, those are absolutely phenomenal! They are so so gorgeous. You make me want to go out and make them! I love your videos. You inspire me so much. Thank you❤
Thank you so much for your kind words!
Kristin Uhrig if you only knew how much you inspire me. I found you after I spent 6 and a half months away from home 2 years ago... 2 and a half months in the hospital after almost dying. Your videos helped me through a very long healing process and you're my go to girl for mandala painting. Thank you for that. I look forward so much to your videos. ❤❤❤ just thought I'd let you know that.
They look amazing 💕💕💕
I can’t wait to try this. Awesome
Great video. I'm glad you showed the before and, I daresay, beautiful finished product. Can I ask though, did you do all the dotting in a single coat? I am always led to believe that underglazing takes three coats to get a good solid colour.
I love painting ceramics because, as you've shown, the resulting colors are so surprising. Loved that you painted the sample paints first so we could see the results after firing. What's next, painting on leather? 😊 love your work, as always.
beautiful work! very informative
Omg, they are gorgeous. Thank for sharing. :)
Wow ,,,,these are gorgeous,,,xxxx 💐🌼🌸🌺
Oooo!!!!! Beautiful💕
So Beautiful 😱 Great Video ❤️
Wow! I love this. Thank you
Just beautiful! I love the colors & design. I'd like to try this but I'm on a tight budget. Any pointers for a beginner or have you already done a video on that? Thanks for showing us your work.💕
I have watched most of your videos and love your tips and creativity. I noticed you have used a lot of different tools to dot with from pencil erasers to sets of different dotting tools. I see your nail stylist is one of your favorites that you use a lot. I was hoping you could recommend or let me know what has worked best so I don’t have to waste money on products I may not be happy with? Thanks for any information you can provide.
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! ❤
I loved this art to do thanks for uploading this video ,
hi Kristin, I'm moving back home in the next month or so. I grew up in the laural area. I went to Meridian.

you and your works are perfect! can I ask you to make a playlist for your videos please?
Wow! Thank you for share. ❤️
Great tutorial! Little question: the black stroke and coat wonderglaze on the bottem... will it not stick to the bottem of the kiln?
You incredible! 🌹
I want come there and bake my mugs.!
Love Nd love..
Oh my gooodness.amazing maam..i wanna be ur apprentice
Beautiful mug Kristin. I am wondering what type of kiln was used for firing. I did a dot mandala on a bisque fired piece, than had it glaze fired to cone 6. The dots spread quite a bit. How do you prevent that from occurring?
Amazing!
Awesome 👏🏻
I love how this turned out! How many times did you dot each dot? I "brush painted" a piece a couple years ago, and in the places where I "stuttered " a bit with the brush and didn't get a full three coats, the color just wasn't right. Just wondering if you dotted each dot more than once.
É lindo o seu trabalho
Wow, the colors are so different. Wondering if you have to bake it professionally, or can you do it at home?
Now I want to make these!!!
I loved it. What kind aof paint is that? Where can i buy it?
First ur work is so beautiful. Some questions, are those glazes like regular glaze like ( glass and will melt during firing)? If so, do u need to clean the bottoms of the bug before firing? Or are they more like underglazes and will need to have another layer of clear glaze before firing? Thx a lot.
Awesome thankyou
LG Brigitte
Hello
Are the colors removable?
For example, when washing utensils or using them in the oven
Hi. I'm a fan. Can one somehow do that finalization at home?
Hi Kristin... awesome tutorial 😘! Question: does the oil from your hands when handling the mug not affect the glaze firing?
It doesn't seem to. In fact, my hands become REALLY, really dry working with the glaze. So, I've been using a lotion called "gloves in a bottle" before I start dotting because I knot I will be holding the mug as I work.
Miss you! Where have you been?
How did it get shiny in the end. Did you use any coating for that?
Would you please do another video using the crystaline crochet hooks? I really have enough tools but don't know the equivalent sizes.
Also, how long does this take all told? There was some drying time but no mention of how long it took to dry.
Hi Kelliie! It takes me about three hours total to glaze one mug. (I just let them dry overnight because I do most of my dot work in the late evenings after dinner) Then it takes another 24 hours inside the kiln to bake the glaze.
Lol, I have one more question, I'm sorry.... what are the tools you are using, and where can I get them
The link is in the video description!
How long would you say large dots would have to dry? And how do you know they are dry? Say an inch or two wide dot.
Where are you? I don't think there is any creativity stores in my area. I'm in Ithaca NY
Washington state. But look around, you may find ceramics studios in your area.
How long do I have to wait until I enter the mug in the kiln?
Hi mam after painting what u did how its came glassy
WOW! Firstly, what a relaxing video! You’re a wonderful teacher and I found this video helpful, interesting and informative. I’m very happy you showed how to fix a mistake. It’s a comfort to know that incredible artists like your good self make mistakes too. I am totally in love with the purple and green mug at the end. Do you sell these? Thank You so much for this fantastic video. xxx
Yes, I sell them on my website store at www.kristinuhrig.com
Gorgeous. Want to sell some?
If I don’t have access to a kiln, can I use my oven at home? If so, what temp and for how long? (I don’t know anything about ceramics, unfortunately.)
If this is an actual ceramic glaze, then no, you can't use an oven (I am not familiar with this brand however). most glazes need to be at LEAST 1112⁰F (605⁰C), and that is for a very low fire clay. Luckily, if you look up local ceramist, many will be willing to help you fire your pottery for reasonable rates.
😍😍😍💖
I like you to much ! Kisses from Brazil.
((((hugs)))) Thank you, Elze!
