    Great video man! I like the idea of the bars being multitaskers. Hard to spend the money if it's strictly for one lift. The Texas squat bar has always been my favorite so I'll have to consider this bat. Thank you

    Sounds like a great bar to have. I think that with better equipment I can get a bit more motivated on those days when I'm not so much. It feels good to the touch and every little bit of edge helps to perform well.

      I completely agree! It also helps me to stay motivated having a variety of bars to choose from. Thanks for watching!

    Big bar

    How freely do the collars spin? I'd expect them to be stiffer being a bench bar. My wrists get unstable with my gym's free spinning bars.

      They spin about like you would expect a power bar to spin. Nothing crazy. You won’t have that problem with this bar.

      The knurl on mine is good however I have the Cerakote version which I believe dulls the knurling. I also have the TPB Monster Squat Bar and the knurling on that Bar is sharper feeling.

    That noise is just not needed! I wouldn't mind if I had a garage/basement gym but mine is in a spare bedroom and annoying my wife is not on my wish list...
    p.s. [9:23] "Having 30mm in the hand is nice" - there is a joke in there...

      First, I totally agree! It is too loud. Secondly, OMG that part of the video 🤦‍♂️. 😂

    • @FoxwalkPrimitive
      @FoxwalkPrimitive Рік тому +1

      That bar is meant to hold +1000 lbs so the ridges need to be deep for the collars to hold. It was only that loud because of those plates. Comp bumpers are notoriously loud on bars.

    This bar was designed for equipped powerlifting. It’s meant to be the American made rival to the Finish made F8 bar by Sportkraft. This bar is made for +1000 lb bench presses. It’s not just a cool bar for benching. If you don’t train equipped with single ply, multi-ply, or unlimited band shirts DO NOT BUY THIS BAR.

      @BrimhallBarbellClub  Рік тому +2

      Well I bought it and I love benching with it. My new favorite bench bar.

      @BrimhallBarbellClub  Рік тому

      Also, if you compete in the APC, you might want to train with a bar that you will use in competition.

    • @FoxwalkPrimitive
      @FoxwalkPrimitive Рік тому

      @@BrimhallBarbellClub any federation that sanctions equipped lifting will use a bench specific bar. The APC is affiliated with international equipped lifting. It really comes down to local meet directors, and which bars they choose to provide at given meets. You just need to get your facts straight when “reviewing” equipment. It makes you sound ignorant and unqualified.

    • @BrimhallBarbellClub
      @BrimhallBarbellClub  Рік тому

      @@FoxwalkPrimitive Example of any facts I got wrong in the review? Thank you.

    • @FoxwalkPrimitive
      @FoxwalkPrimitive Рік тому +1

      @@BrimhallBarbellClub then there’s probably equipped lifting in the same meet, or the meet director likes to get use out of the bar. Presenting that bar as just a beefy, alternative power bar/squat bar is incorrect. Making it out to be just a really cool bar to have is incorrect. Not knowing the bar’s intended purpose in design is irresponsible as a reviewer. Little things like making a big deal out of the noise of the sleeves. Those ridges HAVE to be deep, so collars can hold upwards of +1000 lbs. The sleeves are longer to hold all the plates. The bar is 30 mm so that it keeps oscillation to a minimum under extreme load. Talking about it this way makes it sound like an entirely different bar doesn’t it? I can tell you love to bench, and love this bar. That’s great. I’m happy for you, seriously. Just try to represent these pieces of equipment better. That’s all.
