Interesting timing though. Kabuki must be feeling the pressure because they permanently dropped their squat bar from $600 to $300 just today. If they can do that, that supports your initial point big time!

Sorry, Using my first comment as a disclaimer, I am not a fan of Kabuki, they have some of the most expensive stuff in the industry. I have never bought anyhing from them nor would I, simply becsuse of the price gouging. My opinion of Kabuki is based on PRINCIPLE not anything else. When I look and see a company charging over $600 for a barbell to my door, well there you go. Does anyone of you actually yhink Eleiko steel is better than other steel. $1000+ for a simple barbell. To me and this is just my opinion, you'd have to be out of your mind to buy an Eleiko barbell. Remember this is just my opinion, feel free to feel anyway you want. As a company charge what you want but then we have the option of not buying. I cannot in good faith support Kabuki. Also I've seen a lot of complaints about their stuff

This is just mt opinion, let me say that first. I recently had a reviewer which I actually respected and liked just blast me right out of the water becsuse I was explaining price gouging and how I hate it. I was really just trying to help anyone who might have read my comment and this guy lost his mind towards me, needless to say I won't be seeing anymore of his videos. I think the product that started my comment was made by his friend and I was not even referencing the guy with the product, I was just adressing price gouging in general or trying to. Everything is taken out of context on social media and this was another case of it but the reviewer lost a loyal sub who respected him. IMO, the reviewer is too sensitive and if youre gonna blast your own subs then you wont have many subs. It really shocked me. Shouldn't you let your subs say what they want (to a point)as long as they are not saying negative things about you the reviewer

Picked up the Columbia bar a few months back on sale with free shipping in nickel finish. Great feeling bar in the hands but has little slop in the sleeves. Wanted a 28.5mm bar for smaller hands.

I think the price is okay for this bar. Personally I would not pay $40 or $50 more for a Rogue Ohio bar over this, no way. The specs are equal or close enough to equal where the reason the Ohio bar costs more is because you're paying for the Rogue name and I am not a Rogue man. I'm a REP man. American made is important but half the things we buy are made overseas, maybe more than half so why should I break my bank account to buy home gym american made equipment when so much other stuff we buy is not American made. That is just my opinion, to each his own Enjoy the bar, I love mine

Whoever left the comment about the bad Cerakote must have gotten a bar from a bad bunch. My Cerakote and spin are perfect. I like the average knurl too.

Oh Man, My favorite bar I did not know it's come out with a center knurl. I bought one when it came out couple years ago and it is my main bar. I do only powerlifting movements but I still only use this multi purpose because it's so Sharp and it feels great. I even bought the short Midas bar ( Midas Mini). Guess I've got to get this one. Thnkx so much for the heads up about the center knurl

I bought one about 6 months ago after they had updated it. I didnt mind the gritty cerakote, I actually quite liked it. I did notice that the sleeves had an ok spin without weight but once weight plates were on the sleeves would only move a little bit and then kinda lock up. Not really a big deal for power lifting but it didn't give me a great impression on quality in that respect. The gold titanium sleeve color and end caps were quite nice. Nice review as always man!

under $2k: Rogue slim rack (brackets =400, crossmember =500) a barbell (any decent roughly =200/300) plates (fringe set 10/25/45 45 under 400) adj bench (any rep, ironmaster whatever keep it under 500) with the other 300 get some dumbbells or adjustable dumbbells. this can be expanded on later, this is how i started. i then bought another slim rack for the uprights (cheaper than 2 9' individual), crossmembers, hardware, multi pull up to build out a quad rack. could also use bells to complete.

You were plenty low enough on that rep you showed at start of video. If judges gave you red on that then they were crappy judges. Watch some of westsides contest, I Love Westside but at that level of competition you dont have to get anywhere close to parallel and you get all green. Lower level contests are judged too strict and higher level get away with half squats almost, ask Rippetoe, he tells the truth. He laughs at those judges!!!!!

Interesting video. I have seen some folks like Jen Thompson tie a string across the power rack and if she hits the string she knows it’s depth. I am also a big fan of digital magnetic kitchen timers for rest periods and to stay on track

Smart!!!! Have you ever used accomodating resistance (Bands) with this bar. I never have but I was wondering if you started the first workout with your 3 count method, then the next workout you used bands and alternate the 2 methods, seems like in a 2 month cycle of that, you would get crazy strong out of the hole and that would carry over throughout the entire rep. I've never had a cambered bar but then again I've never been a powerlifter, always been a bodybuilder. This bar looks to be a Great tool for gaining strength and it is sharp looking. I really believe in the Westside way for gaining strength and as you know they used a lot of bands and chains. I hate dealing with chains so I always was a band guy. Love your 3 count method though, I can see where it will work Great!!!!

I have shoulderrok, duffalo (two), OG power bar, two versions of transformer and a boomstick. I've had issues with every order whether qc or insane shipping delay. I'll likely never order from them again, they were even late in their rebrand. Only way I get a kabuki product now is thru rogue if rogue already has the item in stock They're good products but the business is just terrible experience for the consumer. All they have to do is just clean the bar wear some gloves and put a thin layer of grease to protect the bar from rust

Oh Gracious, that is bad. I get that this is one of their boneyard bars but no company should send one of their barbells out that looks like this unless they sell it at over 60%-75% off of the list price. I have heard a lot of bad things about Kabuki and this boneyard selection looks like you could get anything. Your first boneyard bar from them was Good, right, but this is unacceptable for any company. The things I heard about Kabuki must be true. You cannot send it back can you?? Sorry man
