By the way in your neck of the woods could you grab one assembled or only in a box. It's look like the Wal-Mart I frequent will only have them in the box at least right now. Probably labor shortage
Both of these came in a box instead of assembled. I was able to get an Expert Grill Commodore assembled in store, but that's their pellet grill that we're testing at the moment. They asked me if I wanted to one pre-assembled on the floor, and it was a quick "Yup" from me.
@@TheBarbecueLab I look forward to your review on the commodore. While priced cheap it doesn't look anything close to pit boss. I'll be curious to see your remarks on it
I bought the expert grill and slapped on an apple and a yeti sticker. its now worth $1000 dollars now! Honestly, the expert grill is a great grill, I purchased it because of this great video! Thanks David and BBQ Lab!
Thanks for the excellent review. We were just looking at these two, and needed help making the call. Looking forward to grilling some burgers and sweet corn tonight.
A big thanks to Walmart for making this video possible! If you want to learn more about the Expert Grill 5 Burner Gas Grill, click here: bit.ly/walmart-expert-grill
Thanks for actually cooking on the grills! There's tons of these Expert Grill comparison videos (I'm assuming Walmart wanted to get the word out on their grills) but nobody I've seen besides you actually cooked on them! The food looked to have sticked a bit to the Expert Grill cast iron grill grates on the first cook but that's to be expected w/ uncoated cast iron. I'd imagine a quick wipe with an oiled paper towel before cooking would fix that. But gotta point out uncoated cast iron is gonna rust unless it's maintained like a cast iron skillet. But honestly at the price point of the grill I can buy a set of Grill Grates and swap out the cast iron ones. You got a new sub in me!
Great review Dave. As I am a bargain hunter so I love this type of video.

Well aren’t I glad I watched this before adding the charbroil to my cart😅
Great video. Can the expert grill be converted to natural gas?

Note: This is a traditional
gas grill as compared to an infrared gas grill
In the market for a grill right now. Your review was very helpful. Thanks
Glad it was helpful! Best of luck in your search.
@@TheBarbecueLab in the market as well. If hypothetically they were the same price which would you buy?
Thanks brother! 👊🏿
That’s a great comparison video. Thank you.
maybe a test of Vermont Castings Vanguard 3 or 4 burner gas grill this year?
I haven’t ever gotten hands on with a Vermont Castings unit, but from what I can see online they look like they’d make an interesting video.
@@TheBarbecueLab get on it!

I like the way you think Steve. A set of Grill Grates on that unit would be exceptional. Thanks for watching, and all the best!
Wait...what are Grill Grates? And why are these better than seasoned cast iron? I'm new to all this....sorry if that's a silly question.
Just bout the expert grill today for $197. They are so hot right now that one sold infront of me and I had to go fins it somewhere else
