      Screw her..
How Hollywood programs us to ignore the ‘men behind the curtain’
Published before Trump's election in 2016 by an unknown publisher.
You’ve just seen behind a curtain you weren’t even supposed to know existed - ‘Richardson’ in The Adjustment Bureau
They are partners in propaganda, collaborators in control.
The mainstream news media and Hollywood movie studios are cogs in a powerful machine that conditions us to accept a world view favourable to the global corporate elite.
Most of us are not even aware we’re being conditioned; we don’t see how we’re beingmanipulated. That’s why it works so well.
The media contribute to the deception by how they cover the news or don’t cover it - in other words, which subjects they ignore and which questions they avoid asking.
Most of us think the media have the job of keeping the powers that be in check, and exposing their mistakes and excesses. But in reality, the media are the propaganda arm of the power structure, and they exist to support and reinforce perceptions that favour the elites.
This can easily be seen in how they cover 9/11 and the supposed “war on terror.” The mainstream media might dabble at times in doubts about how the war is being waged, but they won’t expose the fact that it is a complete Orwellian fraud designed to keep us distracted and frightened while the elites go about their business of raping our planet and enslaving its inhabitants.
And 9/11 is broken down by the media into heroism, government “mistakes,” and endless debates about whether Muslims did it or just fundamentalist Muslims.
Any other possibility - like 9/11 being a false-flag operation used by the elites to tighten their grip on us - is ignored or ridiculed with dismissive condescension and quips about the psychology of “conspiracy theorists.”
When I say that the media are not interested in exposing the real truth, that they’re more concerned with serving their corporate masters, I mean mainly- but not exclusively - the big players. And I don’t mean all journalist are “in on it.” I get this question from people who think that all it would take would be one reporter to spill the beans and the whole lie would fall apart. If only it were so easy.
But those looking for career advancement on CNN, Fox, or any other major network or newspaper know which perspective will serve them and which won’t. Self-censorship can be more pervasive and more insidious than the forced kind.
So how does Hollywood fit into this? Its effect can be even more subtle in shaping our attitudes towards events in the world around us.
There are two main ways this happens with Hollywood films: one is when a film directly conditions us to accept the world view the elites want us to have. Sometimes this can seem pretty obvious - with excessively pro-American or pro-military films like Independence Day orTop Gun, for example. Other times it’s much more subtle. In Enemy of the State, for example, we learn all about the evils of the surveillance society only to find out in the end that it was just a few “rogues” that were the problem. The system emerges unscathed.
Either way this disguised propaganda pushes us to accept the narrative created for us by the elite. This usually involves a simplistic “us” and “them” opposition. We’re offered a false choice - such as that between people who love freedom and people who “hate us for our freedoms.”
The second way films help shape our attitudes is through what is known as predictive programming. This is when films, television, or other entertainment vehicles introduce subjects before they appear in real life to prepare us to accept them when they do. I believe this was done with 9/11, and I’ll be writing a lot more about this in the weeks ahead.
This takes us even deeper down the rabbit hole. We are shown in a film something that seems to be exposing a hidden truth about our world. One of two things happens:
We are able to indulge our fascination with the dark world of conspiracies for a while before returning to the real world where these things, of course, don’t really happen[/*]Or, we are shown most of the truth about something but with just enough that isn’t true to lead us to draw the wrong conclusions[/*][/list]The X-Files went full speed for the first of these two. Every conspiracy conceivable was true. We were able to get all of that stuff out of our collective system so we could get back to ridiculing it in real life.
A great example of the second possibility is the Matt Damon thriller The Adjustment Bureau. In this film, a seemingly dark and sinister otherworldly “elite” literally runs the world by plotting out exactly how everyone’s life will unfold.
A mistake is made by the unseen guardians of humanity, and Damon’s character becomes aware of the behind-the-scenes control that he is being subjected to. He rebels because the plan for him won’t allow him to stay with the woman he has fallen in love with.
For most of the film, we cheer Damon’s individuality as he battles to escape this control. In the end (spoiler alert!!), the “chairman” is so darned impressed with Damon’s feistiness that he lets him have the girl.
He is told: “Freewill is a gift you’ll never know how to use until you fight for it. I think that’s the chairman’s plan. And one day we won’t write the plan, you will.”
This is a major red flag giving us an insight into the real deception, the real manipulation. Damon is told we need to be controlled because we’d blow ourselves up if left to our own devices. So, the benign master has to step in to “help.”
The other deception, of course, is that Damon finds out about the “men behind the curtain” and successfully overcomes their control. We love watching this in the movies, but we’d scoff at it in real life. Seeing this clever plot twist on reality seems to make us less likely to believe such oppressive control really exists. Ingenious.
And this is just one of dozens of films that work this subtle form of conditioning. Films that deal with the idea of an unseen controlling force include The Truman Show, Dark City, The Matrix, The Game, Vanilla Sky, The Devil’s Advocate, The Forgotten, Unknown, V for Vendetta, The Usual Suspects, Enemy of the State, They Live!, Eyes Wide Shut, The Manchurian Candidate, Three Days of the Condor, The Island, and many others.
These films give us a hint about how we’re being controlled, but ultimately they’re part of that control.

I'm 44 and remember Rebecca Schaeffer from the television show My sister Sam and the movie called Scenes from the Class Struggle in Beverly Hills.
What a pointless, senseless murder. She was 21 years old. I've said it before, how many murders could have been prevented if people just didn't open their door when someone knocked or rang the doorbell?
I'm not saying that ultimately if he wanted to kill her, he wouldn't have found another way. But if she just didn't open her door, she might not have been killed. And I'm not blaming her in anyway.
It always amazes me how people just open up their door for some random person who they don't even know.
    Sad story.

      @theveganvillainess 4 роки тому +2

    • @MartinSmith-ls4wt
      @MartinSmith-ls4wt 4 роки тому +2

@@theveganvillainess Exactly. There have been SO many cases where people have been murdered simply by opening up their door when someone rang the doorbell.
I don't open up the door for anyone, unless I know them and are expecting them. And I'm still cautious.
I just never understood why a person would just casually open up their door for a person that they don't know? Maybe it's the New Yorker in me, but if you come to my door and I don't know you or am not expecting you, I'm not opening the door under any circumstances.

I remember this case. Back in the days, fan magazines used to publish the home mailing addresses of celebrities. A little later, if someone wanted to write a celebrity, they wrote to them in care of an agent, manager or sometimes the studios. With the internet, it has become a little simpler and faster to reach a celebrity.
When I hear stories about obsessive fandom, I begin to look at the fan. He or she sees something special in the artist. They are so in love with the artist that they want to live vicariously in their lives. They will be very protective and believe that the artist was put on earth for that individual fan. They fantasize about the artist to the point where the fan’s world begins and ends with the artist. The fan sees themselves in the artist so much that they more often than not, begin to have self hate.
Celebrity status is seen as many things to many people, especially, the artist. The artist has a job to do, and no doubt loves; making people happy. Because the fans also pledge their love and support to the artist.
But even artists need a break from their careers to take care of other personal matters.
An obsessive fan of the singer Bjork attempted to send a video of his suicide and a homemade bomb to her. The video and the bomb was intercepted by the authorities.
Rebecca, if she didn’t open the door to Bardo, would’ve been the first to get a message out to fans and everyone else about respecting privacy. But her murder was the first in this attempt to stop stalking.
    Now, it continues online.

I have heard about her murder and another young star, can't remember her name, who played the older sister in the movie Poltergeist. These young women died tragically, I do remember that and the news coverage, but I was very young so I don't know much about either case. I was born in May of 1981 so when these things happened all I cared about was my cartoons especially She-Ra (the original, not the stupid Netflix one).
Lives taken too soon especially the young if I remember correctly her first name was Judith and she did the voice of Ducky in The Land Before Time and also the main character in All Dogs To Heaven. That was tragic. Also the little girl who played Carol Ann in Poltergeist just as tragic because she had been misdiagnosed of her intestinal issues and after she died they knew what it was. Those two little girls could be alive today and could still be in movies today.

She was murdered by her abusive alcoholic father. Heather O'Rourke was the little girl from Poltergeist. She died from a misdiagnosed bowel obstruction. All were very sad and tragic deaths.

I had dinner with Theresa Saldana and some friends at he place in Hollywood years ago. She was a lovely and kind person who you may remember was attacked viciously with a knife by an insane fan a few years before. While most of her scars had healed well, you could tell she was deeply scarred inside. That someone could cause pain to such lovely young women or indeed to anyone, for that matter, is inconceivable. Theresa has passed away since then, but not before making a film about the stalking and near death experience.
Sadly enough, it was the attack on Theresa Saldana that inspired Rebecca Schaeffer's murderer to track down his victim by using a private detective. In Ms Schaeffer's attack, no one was nearby enough to intervene - especially since a gun was involved. Theresa was attacked in front of her house, and though present, no bystanders took any action until a deliveryman, a hero named JEFF FENN, bounded down from the second floor of a nearby building and jumped the attacker, incapacitating him. After being imprisoned, the attacker repeatedly threatened Ms Saldana, Mr Fenn, and his own lawyer. After a prison term, he was extradited to England to face other charges there and to everyone's delight, died in the madhouse.
Thanks for another great video. Cheers!

So sorry to hear about your job Megan, in the UK a lot of people are being furloughed (I had never heard of this word before) which is a way of laying people off and then the government pay 80% of the wages up to £2.5k per month. I don't actually like it that much anyway but it's ok and most importantly pays the bills so if I can get it back and nothing else comes up I'll take it back. in the meantime it'll be stay at home as much as possible (we're not in full lock down here as yet), get the autumn garden in and watch crime reel (and brief case) videos! historical cases are as interesting as they are tragic. there is one a (very old )case here (back in the early 1800's I think) here I'd like see someone do a story on about a place called Garth where a child fell into the well. I think she was only two years old. as the story goes her nanny was chasing her for some reason. the nanny fell into the water well also and I think she drowned too in trying to get the little girl out.. as I remember she got the blame for the child's death. the girl is buried on the property but not sure what happened to the nanny. it's said the little girl haunts the ruins now. My father who was stone mason repaired gravestone for the then owners of the property as it had long fallen down and was in pieces he also put in a plaque with a bit of the case story on it.
